When you see a message in Trade Chat or on Forums saying that they are selling an item/Pokemon for 500k, they are referring to the in-game currency of Pokedollars, not 500k coins. Coin Capsule exchange rates for Pokedollars vary from time to time. I would recommend going into "All Chat" in game and asking for a price check on a Coin Capsule. That way, you will have a good baseline for their worth. Additionally, you can create a thread in either Rate/Price Checks (Silver Server) Rate/Price Checks (Gold Server) and ask for a Price check in either of those!1 point
