Proposal: A Searchable Database of Past Auction Sales Goal: To build a comprehensive, searchable database of past auction sales (Pokemon, items, etc.) from the last 3 years, compiled directly from publicly visible forum auction threads. Why Is This Valuable? Pricing Transparency: It’s currently difficult to know what a fair price is without searching manually or asking in chat. A structured database would help players price-check quickly and fairly. Historical Data & Trends: Players could look at how certain Pokémon or items have risen or fallen in value over time, helping both collectors and traders make informed decisions. Community-Driven Economy: With clearer data, we reduce scams, overpaying, and underpricing - supporting a healthier and more fair in-game economy. Tool Integrations (Optional): In the future, this database could support bot integrations (e.g. Discord bots) or allow auctioneers to input new sales manually for real-time updates. How Would It Work? Scrape public auction threads only, from the forum’s trade sections, dating back a few years. Only key sale data would be extracted: Auction date, Pokémon/item sold, Final sale price (if available), Server (Silver/Gold). No private user data would be collected (avoid profile scraping, DMs, or non-auction content). The scraping would be rate-limited and respectful, avoiding spammy behaviour or server strain. The end result: a clean, user-friendly, publicly accessible website or searchable list. A Better Option: Partnership? If devs would prefer to avoid scraping, then: Work with a forum API or database export (if available) Accept guidance from devs on a “safe” method Agree to rate limits or rules about what can/can’t be included Call to Action If you support the idea of a historical auction price tracker built for the benefit of all players, please +1 this post or share your thoughts below. Feature Preview: How It Would Work Filter Options Keyword Search: Search by name, IVs, item, nature, or specific traits Date Range: e.g. Jan 2023 - July 2025 Price Range Slider: e.g. 100k - 5m Server Filter: Gold / Silver / All Category Tabs: Pokémon, Items, Mounts, Rares/Events, PvP-ready Pokémon Optional Additions Trend Graphs: Click any Pokémon or item - Get a historical price chart showing average price over time. Example: Pikachu Event Skin. Avg Price: Jan 2023: 240k, Jan 2024: 370k, Jul 2025: 430k. Instinctive Pricing Suggestions (Beta). “Based on past 50 listings for this Pokémon, the average sale price is 347k. Current trend: Increasing." Discord Bot (Later). Player types /pricecheck Pikachu event - Bot replies with latest sale averages. Data Source Transparency “All data is taken from public trade forum posts. Usernames and private messages are excluded. If you’d like to submit new auctions or request removal of one, click here.” Community & Staff Collaboration Code could be open-sourced on GitHub Feedback welcomed via Discord or Forum thread Maintained for community benefit, not monetized9 points

Just wanted to suggest some low-maintenance, high-engagement community idea's that could boost in-game activity and forum participation. These ideas are designed to be fun, accessible, and easily run by staff or community volunteers, without requiring major development changes. In-Game Ideas Safari League - A competitive challenge using only Pokémon caught in the Safari Zone. Players have a set time limit to build teams and compete. Can be done solo, PvP-style, or tournament-based. Adds creativity and unpredictability. One-Type Tournaments - Host tournaments based around a single type. For example, “Water Cup,” “Only Eeveelutions,” or “Psychic Showdown.” Add level caps or tier restrictions. A rotating calendar keeps it fresh, and a leaderboard could reward consistency. Hide & Seek: NPC Edition - A staff member or volunteer disguises as an NPC and hides somewhere obscure in the game world. Players must find and screenshot them based on clues or vague hints. First to find wins. Treasure Hunt - Weekly or monthly riddles point players to specific in-game locations. Clues can involve lore, item descriptions, or environmental hints. Completing the hunt could reward cosmetics, currency, or event tokens. Weaklings Only Tournament - A fun, unconventional PvP event where only Pokémon with under 10 IVs in every stat are allowed. Weird, chaotic, and hilarious - but also levels the playing field and encourages creative strategies. Guild vs Guild Challenges - Encourage team competition between guilds through a mix of: PvP matchups, PvE tasks (e.g. catch certain Pokémon, complete NPC fights), Side challenges (e.g. trivia, hide & seek). Top-performing guilds could earn in-game rewards, custom flair, or a spot on a Hall of Fame. Pokémon Market Madness - A weekend-only trading fair where players are encouraged to list their best deals, swap rares, or auction shiny/event Pokémon. Could be hosted live on Discord or via a special forum thread. Forum & Discord Game Ideas “Who’s That Pokémon?" - Crop parts of Pokémon sprites or use obscure forms/silhouettes and post them. Players earn points for correct guesses. Track on a leaderboard and crown a monthly champion. Daily Trivia - A simple daily forum or Discord post with a Pokémon-related trivia question. First correct answer gets a point. Over time, this could feed into a larger trivia league with forum titles or Discord roles like “Trivia King/Queen”. Competitive Recognition & Hall of Fame - Introduce a Community Hall of Fame that tracks: Tournament wins, Trivia scores, Event participation, Seasonal MVPs. This can be showcased on the forum or Discord via a pinned post or dedicated section. Adding custom roles, flairs, or badges (e.g., “Event Champion”, “Top Hunter”) would give players meaningful milestones to chase. Pokémon Personality Quizzes - Buzzfeed-style quiz threads like: Which Legendary Pokémon Are You? Which Region Matches Your Soul? What Type Would You Be as a Gym Leader? Great for lighthearted forum traffic and sharing results. Player & Pokémon Showcase Threads - Encourage players to post screenshots of: Their favorite team lineups, Shiny catches, PvP moments, Custom outfit flexes. A pinned showcase thread builds a sense of identity and pride - and gives others a reason to log in and grind. Make It Matter: Community Titles, Roles, and Fame - To tie all these events together, consider: Seasonal titles and forum badges (e.g. “Shiny Hunter 2025”, “Trivia King”), Custom Discord roles for event winners, A public leaderboard or Hall of Fame thread that’s regularly updated with champions, guild scores, and top contributors. Why These Work: Minimal to no dev involvement required Encourages exploration, creativity, and daily log-ins Brings both PvE and PvP players together Builds momentum for the community, even during slower content cycles7 points

Hi, i hope no one till now made a similar suggestion so this can hit hard . Some of you might remember the good time when we had this and our hunting spirit was awake . So far i bet most of you feel the spawn a bit dead , or you just lost interest because you have already what you need . So my suggestion is simple , do at June or July one safari weekend as before. The gap between the events is huge, people are bored Few new pokemons or some that we cant hunt usually can be good and people can be happy.1 point

I like the idea and think it has enough merit to be looked into. It is an issue that has been around for a long time and seems quite difficult to correct. There may be concerns from Staff, but hopefully you can work with them to find an acceptable solution. For me, the biggest hinderance at the moment is the sellers themselves. After an auction has ended, many go back and remove the image of what they were selling, any detail about it, and rename the threat title to Sold or Closed. This making doing research on accurate pricing very difficult, especially for Pokemon and Items that have significant rarity. Ideally, there would be a rule in which players would need to leave that information in place, only allowed to edit to mention the item has been sold or removed. This would make price checking significantly easier and more accurate. However, that would require even more work for the Trade Mods (the last thing they need), as it would be another rule players would probably constantly violate, so I understand why it's not realistic. A project like this wouldn't fully solve the problem but would help put us in the right direction.1 point
