  1. Adapt your moderation : a 'W' in trade chat is not a fault or an obligation to warn a player, someone speaking another language in another chat could have made a fail of tab, don't warn him. These are some kind of examples which could be better handled. It's not making an exception, it's adapting moderation to real cases. One player could have fail, 2 players in less than 5 minutes is probably an infraction. Judge everyone differently : If you warn and mute someone , please, only warn the second player. The 2nd player can just connect, or just switch chat, or re-open the chatbox ( i kept it closed when i farm ) and has never seen the warn. Adapt your sanctions : When someone is muted for swearing, stop over-cumulating the sanction until banning him. No provocation on mod, adapt duration and don't sanction on the next duration stage. If weeks between sanctions , maybe reset or just pass on previous duration stage. Be more precise : When you moderate, precise more the message of the sanction. Some players are sanctionned with one word as reason and really don't understand why they are muted. You forced them to make an appeal. Find a way when players dc/crash and don't have the name of the buyer/seller. We could only find the buyer/seller in Trade chat as they keep this chat open. So asking ' Hey the man who sells Charizard, pm me ' is the best way to find again the guy. They surely don't have All Chat or Another chat open at this moment. Don't moderate this case until a proper way is find. There was a specific case : Lot of french players got sanctionned from the French channel because of their behavior. We decided to create a private channel and invited all the guys who wanted to speak freely. We couldn't speak freely because : Couldn't force a password (desactivated) The mod (Epiales) was aware of the channel because some players enforced the rules and advertised the channel on French channel => Give again the option of password for the private channels plz Over the 3 years of PRO, lot of players left PRO because of the extrem application of the rules and the no-adaptation to each case and each people.   2. Modern problems require modern solutions. Did it occur to you that instead of the new player PMing you for help, you could have PMed them instead? If we follow your original premise that the rules are just fine and everyone should be familiar with them (which I agree with, I personally never broke the rules and probably never will), then it is not unreasonable for a mod to mute someone for a few minutes because they didn’t follow a simple chat rule after a warning was issued. I always see mods reminding people to not comment in trade or English only in chat, so I don’t know what you are referring to to be honest when you say they “never” warn. How many times a day does a person need to be reminded of, as you put it, a rule which is easy to follow? Why, just today I observed in Silver trade chat people commenting and an app issued a warning, and less than 5 minutes later the same person does it again. People might make mistakes the first time, that’s fine and dandy but repeating the same act after being made aware that it is not allowed is just negligence on the player’s end. I don’t believe that the current moderation team is oppressive, individual players are to blame for their own actions. The majority of players aren’t getting disciplined, only the few who keep breaking the rules. If the mods were truly oppressing the playerbase, then you would see a more uniform phenomenon.

I will be completely honest with you, speaking from actual experience of receiving staff hate and being banned for 8 months, I can assure you with 100% certainty that if you actually attempted to be constructive with actual feedback instead of calling everything corrupt, we would be very inclined to listen to you. I was a very vocal player, I am a very vocal staff, with players as well as with everyone within staff. I don't shy back to argue even ifs not the most appropriate time or most respectful manner if I believe something is wrong I will call it by name. What I gather a lot from posts here are non concrete feedback from stuff that happened way in the past that could be easily explained. Sadly while this may sound rude, a lot of players are not telling the full truth of what actually happened, they may not know or don't remember but often times, more than I would like to admit they simply lie. They didn't do X when there is literaly proof of them doing it X. Its something I was talking to Samurai about, you might not got the full scope of everything that happened but I received a lot of hate from players for banning their friends when there was nothing wrong about it. I will give you an example, I received tons of hate for banning a known booster who played hundreds of matches against their alternative account, the evidence is there and accessible for everyone in the moderation team. The ban was 100% accurate yet it was said that "Qeight was abusive, abuses his powers" and such, while we will never be able to prevent that we can make sure that everyone gets a fair explanation if possible. I spent lengthy amounts of times reviewing old cases, unbanning players, overruling old staff decisions because I believed in something, I still believe that no player should be abused by staff nor should they fear to speak out in what they believe. This obviously has to be done in a respectful and constructive manner, e.g what you wrote earlier is the perfect example of what we do not need. We want your feedback, that's why we made the thread but what we will not be willing to do is listen to how corrupt we are when we never hear examples. I hear a lot of times that I am abusive, ban without evidence, hold grudges against players and such things, this is obviously not the reality. I understand that "trust" in staff is at a low point, hell I wouldn't trust staff if I were still player given my experience I had with staff. If there is any light at the end of the dark tunnel, then it would be me. As I said, I know what corrupt staff and bias staff look like and how they can hurt you. Nobody in their right mind would think I would support that. Do we make mistakes? Yes. Do I make mistakes? Yes. Do we see every mistake? No. We are all also just humans who do this stuff in our free time, we are not perfect but we are trying and reaching out to you guys.

  4. You should know by now. You can't mediate or discuss anything with PRO's staff. If you say anything bad about them, they'll probably give you a warning because the sensitivity setting is set to ultra high. A lot of these staff come from guilds, and ten to one, you probably have argued with them as a normal member at one point, and what happens when they run in your line of sight again, with past grudges? Yep. You guessed it! You get shot at, while they use the pro rules as bullets and reload for another headshot. These are sneaky people. See how they go back to your previous offences to shield themselves and even worse, those forums are supposed to be CONFIDENTIAL but nooooooo. All of them can see your history. They can judge you but say a wrong word about them, and oh boy, if you've seen Saitama get serious... OneBanMan could be a spin-off, hmm let me think. I shall accept the most hated by staff title because i'm that amazing and sincerely vocal about the community. I'm sorry if the truth is toxic. PS, I see you Sheev Palpatine!!

  6. An apologetic kind user will most likely have a granted appeal. Breaking again and again the same rule, means there are issues. 60sec mute never follow your account, you just can't talk in chats for 60sec, that's all.

  7. Did I say that I want to post your Punishment history? Do you really think threatening me will make anything better?Do you want me to ignore you from now on or you prefer to receive replies? I believe some of you shouldn't react that aggressive to warnings. It's certain users who make a warning for a minor infraction a huge matter. We don't bite people who make mistakes. Several times happened a player to post off topic by mistake on trade channel, I warned in general to be careful on what they post on trade chat, they wrote on all chat that it was mistake and I told them its ok dont worry. This is how polite people should communicate. Not a big deal, we do what we have to do, we are here to serve and not to be served by users. I will think 100 times before I perm ban a user, please don't blame me for not thinking 100 times before I warn someone who posts random letter on Trade Chat. It's not a big deal and I don't receive any interior happiness or pleasure when doing it.

  8. Since you are making it public, the only Punishment you had was 3 days quiet banned for excessive harassment. To be more detailed, you were cursing someone and his mother for about 10-12 lines. It seems like you were mistreating another player and not PRO Staff mistreating you. Also, about the report you did 4 years ago. User was punished accordingly, but the Pokemon couldn't be returned to your account, since PRO Staff could not do that with the old Mod Tools. Your accusations are invalid, from the 1st to the last word.

  9. His english is decent and his work on report center great. We can't have only english native speakers in Staff. He is great upon investigations, believe me or not, it's not something to force you believe. Also, always remember, people who work will do mistakes. Only people who don't work will not. I am not here to write for Staff individuals though, let's move on.

  10. Prehax is doing a really good job in Staff. People might prefer lazy Staff who never came to contradict with anyone in the past, never handled enough reports and cases,never moderated enough to become player's target. Recently we made a public recruitment, I am 100% none of those who succeeded had any close friend among the people who decided. If you had more people to suggest why didn't you tell them to apply, or why even yourself didn't apply? It's easy to sit in the corner and talk trash about things outside of the box Also, I know a lot of people that would be hella useful in the Staff, but they don't want to spend their free time there, they don't care, they don't like me or w/e reason they have. We can't force anyone. Friendly recruitment won't be a thing in Staff anytime soon. Being friend with people who are worthy enough to pass all our tests is not a crime. Recruiting people who are not the best is a crime. As for Epiales. You would be surprised on how much work he can do. One-two wrong mutes when he was new staff, created a fame, because in my opinion some users are always thirsty for Staff blood. I know myself, one wrong auction handling among the hundreds I handled, was enough to make a few users call me power abuser. We can talk about it in Private, I said this post is not to attack certain Staff Members, but give us feedback. You had and have more friends than me in Staff, ask them if we abuse any power.

  11. Some things I can't ignore. I accept your opinion, but you will have to accept mine as well. This is the worst feedback I have ever seen, making it obvious that you don't care the least to help us improve, the worse Moderation Team you think we are, the happiest you will be. You are a user with temper and rude is the kindest word I can find to describe you. I won't go into details about any user's Punishment History in this public thread. If the users who donated something after quitting start posting here, this post will never end. If you think that after the decades of hours we spend upon a big RMT case, we ban people for giving away, then you won't be convinced by my words in any way. Our ways will not get in public, if I write them it will be like a guide how to avoid getting caught for RMT. It's not one of my intentions and only Game Master and Admins are aware of these ways. What people say around is none of my concern. I have seen mass botters saying that we permanently banned them for being toxic, I have seen mass botters trying to start riot over Game Masters that they never botted, but me looking a chat evidence where they admit it to a friend in PMs(except the evidence we had ourselves already and cause the ban). We can't control what people say about their Punishment, it's your choice if you believe them or PRO Staff. I will just state one thing: If the evidence and our judgement are at 99%, we unban the user, giving them the 1% benefit of the doubt. All RMTers, botters, bug abusers, Macro users will get caught anyways eventually. Do you really think that we use caps to show off? Never thought that we just write in a formal way? You are not allowed to use other languages on PRO punlic chats, because other languages cannot be moderated by all staff members. "Eu te amo" might means I love you and might means "Fuck you", why everyone is supposed to know that? Or why you have to put more workload to us if you reply "Google translate"? Also, not saying anything was wrong in that situation, but always be laxer with APPs. They are trainees, nobody was born with a gift to be the most pleasant and successful Moderator. If you have any proof to say that, I am the right person to send it. Until then, I don't want to see such statements again. Accusing Staff for Power abuse and any kind of abuse, is the most insulting thing someone can say about Staff. Since you are accusing Staff for an infraction that would lead to the permanent removal of a staff member and more, I believe you are ready to face the consequences of such a statement, without the proper evidence and with only goal to defame Staff and spread false rumours. I don't understand whats the difference between battle chat and other chats. If you fight with someone you know and you both speak spanish, PM them and all good. Other users do not care for what you have to say to your opponent, anyways, even more if it is in a language they can't understand. Only permanent bans are in both servers. Permanent bans are only caused by high Severity infractions not for Fake Selling or Spam or minor things like these. So when someone makes the same mistake 3-4-5-6-7 times, I have to warn them again, until they attack or harass again another person? The latest chances we did on Punishment Policy, makes the punishments towards minor infractions laxer and the punishment towards severe infractions harsher. If you harassed a person for 7th time and you think that you don't deserve a few weeks break of the game, then we will never agree on what is fair and what is chaos.

  12. A couple of things that I thought were overreactions in your post. 1. "I legit roll my eyes until I see my brain when I see a moderator over moderating" How is this "over moderating", no warnings were issued, no mutes, etc. Just a reminder that All channel is English only. 2. "showing off that he/she can use capslock (I know, sounds childish what I'm saying, but I know you know what I am talking about)." How is the staff in the screenshot showing off? They are just capitalizing the first letter in a sentence and proper nouns, which is a perfectly normal thing to do and happens instinctively. The phrase "I know you know what I'm talking about" is so over-the-top btw. 3. "A moderator comes out of nowhere and say "Only English here, please!"" The moderator didn't "come out of nowhere", they were already in the chat and speaking. They didn't say what you said they said. You are just putting words in their mouth. 4. "Please, Açaiberry, don't take it personal. You are not the only one who does it. Also, I know you are an App and you are just doing your job. However, I just think moderating like this is unnecessary." This phrase comes off as pretentious to me, because you are not a moderator nor you have ever been a moderator but here you are talking down to the staff as if you possess more knowledge than them in this regard, when they are trained, or in the process of being trained if they are an apprentice. In my opinion, I think PRO moderation is fine but a lot of players just blatantly ignore the rules and when a moderator reminds/warns them in chat, they just ignore it then complain how the mods ban "for no reason".

What I personally REALLY dislike was the the overall general mistreat I received from staff back when I first started playing the game when it came out around 2015, people like myself and others shouldn't be banned or disciplined to the point of hating the game just because staff members at the time where "not as good as they are now". I also really dislike the inconsistency of a majority of staff members not replying to messages that players send them when they have serious questions or concerns. My friends and I shouldn't have to wait for a week+ to get a dry reply, if any at all. I also dislike the how easy it is to get auto muted in chat, there have been numerous times when my buddies and myself on a few occasions where auto muted without warning for simply defending ourselves from toxicity that was targeted towards us in chat. Just general nonsense and incredibely biased and inconsiderate staff where the reason me and 6+ of my friends quit the game in 2015, I was the only one to come back and give it a shot. I don't feel like I am can rely on staff or mods at all when I am in a predicament, and that's JUST NOT RIGHT. You guys have this power for a reason, need I say more?. This is not to say I haven't had a good experience with staff and mods, but believe me when I tell you myself and a majority of my (friends that quit in the past) and current online friends think that not only are mods and staff just generally unreliable and borderline useless, we end up thinking any problem you find yourself in is better to be ATTEMPTED to be resolved by yourself (for example my stolen Pokemon(s) not the dusknoir which made me quit PRO) and HOPE that you don't get unlawfully punished and end up, like in myself and my friends cases, just quitting the game in general.

  15. Panhandling is banned in many parts of first world countries. In places it is allowed, it is often regulated. Law makers regulate it by defining "aggressive panhandling." More on this if you would like to read up on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aggressive_panhandling. The description can be compared to getting a PM asking for something free. Regardless, this comparing begging in PRO to begging in real life is a poor comparison. Begging / panhandling is done by homeless people. There is no "homelessness" in PRO. If people need help, there is a help chat. If people need high level pokemon, there is a trade chat. If people want advise on things, there is all chat. If you want to take any type of comparison from real life, you can define "aggressive panhandling" in PRO as asking for free things via PM.

Game Testers are expert users who work alongside Developers, Content Scripters and Mappers and provide useful feedback as well as report any errors and bugs. We use a separate testing server where users are given a new character with access to anything that may aid in testing. Why do we need them? Our staff team is in need of Game Testers to test new and upcoming implementations to PRO. For a while now, we have been rewarding users who help us test various important updates before they're released. In order to bring better content to PRO, we are making the Game Tester an official rank in the staff team. This will streamline communication between content staff and testers to allow better and faster testing. How are they chosen? Game Testers have to go through an apprenticeship where they will be watched to see how efficiently they work as well as how well their communication and activity is. Game Testers will be given a new account that has access to various staff commands to aid their testing. Game Testers will be officially recognised as PRO Staff members once their apprenticeship is passed. Requirements & Application process. Requirements: All requirements are mandatory. You wont be considered if you do not meet the base requirements At least 500 hours of playtime. Be able to clearly communicate in English. Sinnoh champion. 18+ years old. Able to dedicate your time and deliver efficiently. What we're looking for: Strong communication. High patience levels. Reliability. Able to persistently repeat the same work.   22. Hello! As you can see by my name, im Umbreonngirl and for a while now (more like 2015) I have wanted to achieve a lot in this game. Most of these things I have done, but throughout these few years, I have very much noticed that my shiny hunting luck was not the best. Therefore, my childhood dream of catching a shiny eevee (aka evolving it into umbreon) is sadly still a dream. However this time, I have told my self "Screw it, im gonna buy one." So here I am now, as you could tell wanting to buy a shiny umbreon (or of course an eevee)! It took me a little while to collect the possible desirable money, and now I am ready to offer a negotiable 13 million.   27. OMG. This must be the first person I came across that actually has a heart. No offence to the other white walkers. I wasn't always, you could say, anti-staff, i'm an abomination of past experiences with staff and if i'm like this, can you imagine how other players are like? Oh and let me tell you, there are others lurking in the PRO shadows, peeping through the veil but remaining silent and not coming forward. I can say it's good that you guys decided to step down from your throne and have an audience with the town folk and being open to their issues of the day around PRO moderation, but it could also be said, why now all of a sudden? Is this really to build a bridge of better understanding between the players and staff or is it another publicity stunt of somesort? Obviously the word trust was thrown out the window and left to fly a lonely journey, which is why my first post said "What's the point to this". It just feels a little too late. Look how you destroyed all chat with unnecessary rules. All Chat is the best place to be in-game. When I was opposing the new all chat rules, I got warnings for it instead. Before implementing a rule, shouldn't you have asked for feedback on it to get players opinions about it before ramming it down our throats? It's extremely fascist behaviour like that, that destroys trust in staff altogether.

  29. Your example is contradicting. "One player could have fail, 2 players in less than 5 minutes is probably an infraction.", what if the second player is also a fail and the third and the fourth? At what stage does it classify as an infraction in your eyes? It's out of question that the rule already has been broken but at what point do you want to be warned? Moderation staff are trained to give adequate and time sensitive warnings. If there was a warning 20 minutes ago you won't be muted. If there was a warning 2 minutes ago you will be muted. If the warning was in All Chat (lets say a warning for swearing), and you swear in Help Chat, you will be warned. The warnings don't carry over per chat. You have to go deeper into that please. Users' have to break the rules FOUR times in order to get quiet-banned. This is already in one session. Your mutes don't carry over from yesterday, so in a sense they reset. "Spamming" "swearing" "double posting", are common reasons used when muting. Can you give examples here. Why would you appeal a 60 second mute? The channel was moderated because it was announced in French chat, share it around in private and we won't moderate it. I agree though, a channel with password and the old functions would be really cool. I am not sure if they were removed or why they were removed really. I liked them a lot. In over 3 years a lot has happened, the current staff team is way more lax than it was back then. The language chats sadly are a toxic place, they weren't moderated a whole lot in the past, people ignoring them and such. If there are staff members who can speak the language they should moderate them. What aspect is too harsh? Botting, RMT, Cheaters getting a permanent ban? This is common and standard in every game.

  36. Hello gspo24, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. You're probably experiencing an error that happens when a Pokemon tries to learn a move by any way teachable. This includes by level up, TM, Move Tutor and Move Relearner. In order to fix this problem please follow the next steps: Delete all the PRO files that you have (.zip and remaining files too). Restart your computer/device. Download the game from here. After you've done all the steps the error should be fixed letting you now teach your Pokemon a move by any way teachable mentioned before. Unfortunately we are not able to refund you any amount of money you could have lost due to this error as it would be unfair for those who accepted their loss by bugs and errors if we restore your money and not the their money or progress. Also our tools do not let us track how the money of an user get spent or how their items were used so we can't verify and refund at all.   40. You are not getting it, if we make one exception, we open something we do not want. Why should you be allowed to speak PT when a PT staff is around but someone else is not allowed to speak french when a non french speaking staff is around. This is inconsistency we will not deal with.

  42. Some kind of blacklist for PMs really would be nice... I am not a big fan of recent chat rules changes. Why are rates and price checks now allowed in help chat. I know people were alwaxs asking for rates and price checks there, but waaay less and if you told them wrong channel they usually quit. Now they spam the same question over and over cause they want their rate for every Pokemon they catch. And it sometimes makes it really hard not to oversee the people who really need help. I am in help chat alot and I like it there. But that new rule made it harder for us "help chat regulars" to help imo.

  43. One of the best changes made is allowing people to ask for help in all chat. It simplified the rules and made sense to the community. I think this should be a guide to future rule changes or additions. Rules should be simple to explain, understand, and make sense to a majority of the community. __ I am a huge fan of the recent trade auction rules. I have been very vocal about this subject for a long time and excited to watch its impact moving forward. __ I am extremely concerned about the amount of begging or spamming for help in the form of free things done through PMs. A majority of these are spam with clear intention to SCAM other players. I have expressed my concerns about this several times. Scammers pressure people into 1 on 1 conversations away from the eyes of moderation. Some very commonly used phrases are: "Could you please give me 5k so I can travel to another region?" - They are simply spamming as many people as they can to earn a quick buck. "Could you please give me any high level pokemon you do not use so I can beat the elite four?" - In reality, they have already beat the elite four. They just want free things with the off chance a noob gives them an epic. "Could you please give me money, I am new." - Shameless begging. No one would ever type this in trade chat. "I gave away all my stuff awhile back. Do you have any pokemon you could give me?" - Advanced form of manipulation to make you feel sorry for the scammer. How could you not give pokemon to someone that was so kind in the past? Common responses from staff members are: "You can just ignore them." - This is not effective. As soon as the PM pops up, the feeling of frustration and disappointment has set in. Also, I do not worry about me falling victim, I fear others falling victim to the scammers. "If it annoys you, just turn off your PMs." - PRO's advantage over the Pokemon franchise games is the ability to socialize and play with friends. Having to set myself to offline because I am PM'd for free things every other time I walk into a PC is frustrating. "Asking for help is not against the rules." - This is true, however, this is what the scammers hide behind. They mask their scams through asking for help in the form of pokedollars or free pokemon. There needs to be rules preventing or discouraging scammers from hiding behind this reasoning. "If they are scamming or spamming, you can report them." - Sure. However, as a player, when someone tells me they need some money to travel to another region how am I supposed to know they are also asking 100 other people the same thing? How am I supposed to know the person they asked before me already gave them 5k and they are simply asking more people in hopes to get easy money? How am I supposed to know the sob story of giving away all their things last year to attend college is a lie devised to get me to feel sad for them? The bottom line is, asking for free things should not be permitted through PMs. Asking for help is not a crime and should not be punished. Asking for free things should be though. I have been extremely vocal about this topic and provided several real situations to multiple staff members in ways PRO scammers operate with begging via PMs. There must be a more aggressive rule that prevents this predatory behavior and encourages the community to report it. Feel free to moderate how you feel, but educating the community on how to identify and report these types of scams will make it a much more enjoyable game for players at all stages of the game.
