Dear Staff, With all my respect to your investigation or analysis, we are really sick of this endless server we are losing a lot of motivation for the game and not only Predators many other guilds and players have showed their frustration towards this matter. the endless hopes and promises in the announcements is getting us more frustrated, a serious action plan should be set, instead of ADDING Cosmetics or Events that would cause the server to crash EVEN MORE! consider another alternative to finalize this, I don't believe that its a bug but rather some damaged devices on the physical/virtual server. Please CONSULT a Professional Developer for this, outsource one do anything just stop adding stuff so that players spend rl money on cc and making us crash every 10 minutes and even worst! new record 3 dcs in 1 MINUTE! Sorry for my approach but its been the case for 1.5 MONTH! and this is the answer why SILVER SERVER had less pvp matches than GOLD not because of any game promotion but rather of demotivation and frustration!. Edited: One of the solutions add a reconnecting system this could lower the impact of server crashes. One last thing a new bug showed up " same species clause in the team " Check SS Thank You,13 points

Devs should fix these bad servers, I pay good money for my cosmetics, the least they can do is keep the game up. Sad.5 points

No game ever operated by hoarding cosmetics for a year while waiting for a stable patch. Same for events. If nothing was added for a long period of time people will complain about having nothing new and leave. Do you believe you could play like this? I don't think so. If it was as easy to make as you make it sound it be surely it would have been made already. The code is spaghetti from before 2017 and adding something with the snap of a finger is not reality. Comparing shane age pro and current age pro is like comparing a car from 1900 and a modern sportscar, so many missing features, bugs and what not. I played back in 2016 and there was definitely crashes. And another thing worse than crashes was the constant queues.2 points

Let be honest PRO started to became famous again and walross is pretty happy. But this give less motivation the last PRO hype peaks was in 2016 back in the day where Shane was staff and crash rarely happens. We need to fix this we are a pokemon game with active players each day lets continue. We know walross/Cames trying them best and it cost a lot of Energy for them. But we can not do things by yourself only ask some help is recommanded. Thanks for thread.2 points

- Be sure to be Hoenn Champion before starting this quest. - Go Route 114 in Hoenn, find Fossil Maniac Charles in his house and talk to him about the permit. - Now you will have to collect six different fragments spread around all Excavation Sites (excluding Wondrous Site, Briny Site and Draconic Site). - You do not have to enter the sites. Use a Pokemon with Rock Smash and destroy all breakable rocks around the Excavation Sites. Please note that this step is not needed for every player. - Once you have all six fragments collected, come back to Route 114 and talk with Fossil Maniac Charles. He will ask you to pay 100.000 Pokedollar in order to buy the permit. - You are now owner of the Archaeologist Permit and can start visiting the different sites. Feral Site - Fiery Path - East of Lavaridge Town Historical Site - Northern Route 111 Desert - East of Lavaridge Town Haunted Site - Rusturf Tunnel - Near Verdanturf Town Mineral Site - Route 115 - North of Rustboro City Glacial Site - Route 103 - North of Oldale Town Natural Site - Route 119A - South of Fortree City Wondrous Site - Route 114 - West of Fallarbor Town - 3000+ discoveries as requirement Briny Site - Route 124 - West of Mossdeep Town - 6000+ discoveries as requirement Draconic Site - Route 113 - East of Fallabor - 10000+ discoveries as requirement There are different tiers of expertise in archaeology. The tier depends on the discoveries you have made. You get one "Discovery Point" by smashing the rocks inside each site. With every tier you get access to more Pokemon and items. You can check your tier on your Trainer Card. The rocks inside of every Excavation Site respawn every 20h after being broken. You have also a low chance of getting nothing when breaking a rock. - Excavation Ranks: Explorer (1-500 discoveries) Scrounger (501-999 discoveries) Plunderer (1000-1999 discoveries) Relic Hunter (2000-3999 discoveries) Archaeologist (4000-5900 discoveries) Paleontologist (6000-7999 discoveries) Tomb Raider (8000+ discoveries) If you encounter a spawn you're not experienced enough to get, the Pokemon will flee or the item gets destroyed. How many Discoveries you need for each Pokémon rarity is mentioned below. You will however gain one or more "Bonus Discovery Point" each time you'll encounter a Pokemon who fled or if the item gets destroyed. The rock will tell you how many extra points you gained. - Used Rarity Tiers in the guide: Common 0+ Discoveries Uncommon 1000+ Discoveries Rare 2000+ Discoveries Super Rare 4000+ Discoveries Excavation Sites are shiny locked, which means that you are not able to encounter Shiny or Themed Pokemon in the sites. With the exception of Shiny Rocks, which may contain shiny Pokémon. As for all scripted spawns for wild Pokemon, an active BMS won't influence the chance of a hidden ability in the excavation sites. In every site you are able to find "Artifact Pieces", which can be traded in the Historical Site for items and fossils by talking to Artifact Maniac Hastor. Fossils: Vitamins (10 per 70 Artifact Pieces): Consumables: Battle Items: TM Moves: Gems: Evolution Items: Damage-reducing Berries: Mega Stones: All Sites Feral Site Historical Site Haunted Site Mineral Site Glacial Site Natural Site Wondrous Site Briny Site Draconic Site Contribution SyaoranLi, thank you for giving me a lot of useful information to complete this guide. INTRODUCTION - (Make sure to open the spoilers) - Lets get straight to the point, Excavation Sites need an update. The last big change to Excavation Sites was about 1 1/2 years ago, so the spawns and features have been very stale for quite some time already. Now I know that scripters and other staff members are extremly busy and try their best to get out new content like events, megastone-quests and much more but I still want to put out this suggestion as Excavation Sites are a great PvE task you can do from time to time or even daily which makes the game much more enjoyable for a lot of players. I dont want Excavation Sites to be forgotten and since the question about new spawns etc. keeps getting repeated on every previous Q&A-Stream, this thread can also serve as some sort of a platform for everyone to share their ideas and opinions on this topic. Maybe if all the megastone-quests are done there is some time to make some changes to the Excavation Sites. TL;DR SPAWNS & ITEMS Credits for some provided ideas Change Pokemon Spawns Straight to the most important thing regarding Excavation Sites, the Spawns. The Spawns have not been changed for a long time and it is simply not fun nor rewarding to catch the same pokemon over and over again. Previous changes introduced outbreak- and event-exclusive pokemon which make certain pokemon very special and hard to obtain. Adding some of these to Excavation Sites would be a first step to make them very interesting and rewarding again while still keeping them balanced as there are only a limited number of spawns you can get daily. Events and Outbreaks which have these pokemon as spawns would still be special as you can hunt them actively on these. Other pokemon got more attractive recently as well. With the introduction of their mega-evolution some previously ignored pokemon became relevant and most of these would make a very good addition to Excavation Sites. Another thing I want to suggest are pokemon which are exclusive to Excavation Sites like new Gen7 pokemon, as this would raise them to another level of interest. TL;DR Balancing the Spawns I dont know exactly how the spaw-mechanics etc. work but I tried to suggest the spawns in a way to make them somewhat balanced while keeping the theme of the different Excavation Sites. However the suggested changes are obviously not perfect and probably need more in-depth balancing. I would suggest to keep/add very good and exclusive spawns to the Excavation Sites and to balance the cooldown or the entry-costs instead. By increasing the cooldown or the entry-costs instead of the actual spawns Excavation Sites will feel exciting and worth while doing them. TL;DR Spawn Change Suggestions (Note: These are just examples to give some ideas for spawn changes, feel free to share your thoughts and ideas in the comments) Credits for some ideas on the spawn changes and source for provided data Feral Site Historical Site Haunted Site Mineral Site Glacial Site Natural Site Wondrous Site Briny Site Draconic Site Changes to available items First of all Fossils fit well into Excavation Sites and can even be synched with an NPC in the Historical Site. Revival Herbs are always useful for rather new players and can still be useful to more advanced players as they can be used on quests, events, leveling pokemon etc. While Heal and Energy Powder may be useful to a certain extend to newer players, they feel like a waste for most of the playerbase after a while. I would suggest to change them to items which are pretty much always needed and useful like Vitamins (Protein, Iron, HP Up etc.) or make Heal and Energy Powder exchangable for Artifact pieces. I think the previous change which added different rare items (Rare Bone, Nuggets, Pearls etc.) in the different Excavation Sites was not thought through well enough as less-valuable items are more common and make it harder to encounter pokemon because of that while valuable items are too rare to have an impact. Therefor less-valuable items should be removed and replaced with more valuable items. That way its less likely to find items and more likely to actually encounter rare pokemon. Since the different items seem to have different drop-rates I suggest to replace all items with the same item for every Excavation Site to make it more balanced. Replacing all the items with a Nugget seems to make the most sense as it has a decent value and is not found too often which makes it more likely to encounter a pokemon. The chance for a Big Nugget should be increased as its near impossible to find it (I personally found only one while increasing my Excavation Rank from 10.000 to 36.000+). This makes achieving an Excavation Rank of 10.000 to unlock the Draconic Site and that particular Excavation Site less worth and that is a clear balance-issue in my opinion. To give some further insight regarding this, @JustLegend did some research on Excavation Sites some time ago. The data he collected shows that 47 Tiny Mushrooms and 0 Big Nuggets were found after 28 days of doing every Excavation Site. Because of this it is somewhat harder to encounter pokemon in the Haunted Site which is another balance-issue. Make sure to check out his thread for more in-depth data regarding Excavation Sites. Credits for provided data TL;DR Changes to Artifact Pieces Store For most of the time my personal experience with the Artifact Pieces shop has been that I would only buy Focus Sashes as these are the most valuable items you can get and they are rather easy to sell. Most other items are not worth their price, are not needed or have other sources you can get them from easily. To give Artifact Pieces a better use I suggest to lower some prices in a balanced way to make it worth buying other items than focus sashes and a few other items. Balancing prices and available items is not easy by any means but I tried to come up with fair prices based on a calculation. To understand the suggested Artifact Pieces prices and that calculation you need to know some numbers. For a full Excavation Site run we end up with an average of 64 Artifact pieces (I used 60 for cleaner calculations) and a Focus Sash costs 6 Artifact pieces and sells for about 2.000 - 2.500 Pokedollar (I used 2.000 Pokedollar for the calcuation). Buying 10 Focus Sashes for 60 Artifact Pieces and selling them for 2.000 Pokedollar each leads to a daily profit of 20.000 pokedollars. Example of the calcuation based on a Reroll Ticket: -> Reroll Ticket (2.250) -> 750.000 / 20.000 = 37.5 -> 37.5 x 60 = 2.250 -> Reroll Ticket (2.250) -> 750.000 (Current average price of a Reroll Ticket) / 20.000 (daily profit from selling Focus Sashes) = 37.5 (days to purchase a Reroll Ticket from another player if selling the Focus Sashes daily) -> 37.5 x 60 (Artifact Pieces gained daily from a full Excavation Sites run) = 2.250 (price of a Reroll Ticket in Artifact Pieces) The goal is to end up with item prices which are somewhat balanced in a way that makes the items worth buying instead of selling the Focus Sashes and buying the desired items from another source. Fossils: I dont know why Omanytes and Kabutos Fossils are not available yet but I would suggest to add them as they are the only missing Fossils. I think the prices for Fossils are too expensive overall but I did not change them too much since I dont know if there is some in-depth balancing behind that and the fact that they are untradable. Vitamins: Adjusted the prices so you are able to buy 10 Vitamins after a full Excavation Sites run. Consumables: Adding certain items like Reroll Tickets to the Artifact Pieces Shop makes Excavation Sites even more lucrative. However I did not suggest more random items to keep the theme of the Excavation Sites alive for the most part but I think Reroll Tickets can be a very good addition as they serve as a more or less long-term-goal players can work for. Battle Items: Adjusted the prices based on the explained calculation. I did not suggest additional items as the already existing ones fit the Excavation Sites them perfectly well. TM Moves: Adjusted the prices based on the explained calculation and added the TM for Substitute since it is only available in Trainers Valley so far. Gems: Adjusted the prices so you are able to buy 10 Gems after a full Excavation Sites run. It could be considered to lower the prices even further given the Gems cheap price in Pokedollars and easy obtainability on dig spots but they can be used on the Recycle NPC as well which could possibly lead to imbalanced results. Evolution Items: Adjusted the prices based on the explained calculation. Damage-reducing Berries: Adjusted the prices so you are able to buy 10 Berries after a full Excavation Sites run. Since stat-modifying berries like the Salac berry are still rather hard to come by I think they would create great interest towards the Excavaton Sites. Mega Stones: Since obtaining 1.000 Artifact Pieces to purchase a megastone takes over 2 weeks of full Excavation Site runs and megastone-quests usually do not take longer than a 1-2 days at most for the majority of the playerbase I would suggest to lower the price a little bit to 600. While I think adding megastones exclusive to Excavation Sites is a good way to make them interesting again it should be considered that some players do not like to do Excavation Sites as well. I think lowering the price from 1.000 to 600 Artifact Pieces would be a good change which could motivate some players to do more Excavation Sites again. Obviously players who already bought the megastones for the original price of 1.000 Artifact Pieces would need to get compensated with the extra Artifact Pieces. Exclusive Cosmetic Items Shoutout to @dangarangs for the idea and some examples. https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/155148-excavation-only-cosmetics/ Adding Cosmetics and Mounts exclusive to Excavation Sites would make them a lot more interesting for not only advanced but for newer players as well. These items would give players another long-term goal depending on the price. It could be considered to make some Cosmetics and Mounts unlockable after reaching a certain Excavation Rank which would give the Excavation Rank another purpose after reaching the 10.000 mark to unlock the Draconic Site. The prices of these exclusive items would come down to the fact if they are tradable or not. TL;DR ADDITIONAL IDEAS Option to see available Excavation Site Spawns While I know its possible to check an Excavation Sites Spawns using the Reborn Bot I still think it would be a great addition for some players to know which pokemon are obtainable on the different Excavation Sites. It would be very useful to know which synchronize should be used especially. Since I dont know if its possible to add the spawns on the drop-menu on the top-left this could be done by wandering pokemon, NPCs giving hints on dialogues, signs which explain pokemon sightings etc. instead. Artifact Pieces to spawn rare pokemon I think the option to spawn certain pokemon available on the Excavation Sites would be a great addition. Once again it could be considered to make some pokemon unlockable after reaching a certain Excavation Rank which would give the Excavation Rank another purpose after reaching the 10.000 mark to unlock the Draconic Site. It could be done similar to the already existing system to spawn pokemon for PvE Coins. A changing pool of rare pokemon available in Excavation Sites which can be spawned for Artifact Pieces at an NPC. Additional Excavation Rank Rewards Currently the highest Excavation tier is Tomb Raider at 8.000+ discoveries and the 10.000 mark is the last useful rank since it unlocks the Draconic Site. I would suggest to award players for every additional 1.000 discoveries to give them another goal to grind for after achieving the 10.000 mark. It probably would make the most sense to reward players with a certain amount of Artifact Pieces. In addition players could unlock exclusive Cosmetics/Mounts and rare pokemon spawns for Artifact Pieces as mentioned earlier. Changes to Shiny Rocks I think Shiny Rocks should always have a pokemon instead of a chance for an item or even nothing. Getting a shiny out of Excavation Sites is already extremly rare and getting an item or nothing out of them is just frustrating and does not feel rewarding at all. I personally have gotten one shiny at 60.000+ Excavation Rank to give some further insights. ENDING WORDS I am well aware that not all of the suggested changes have a chance to get added to the game but I hope that at least some of these ideas will be considered and added in the future to improve the Excavation Sites again. Please feel free to share your own ideas and suggestions on this thread in the comments as well. Also dont hesitate to provide feedback on this suggestions, what do you like, what dont you like? I am looking forward to see Excavation Sites being interesting and exciting again. #MakeExcavationGreatAgain1 point

I will be comenting as a player rather than in behalf of staff team. As someone that has seen how things work behind the curtains i will try to clarify what has been happening: Developers have not ditched the servers in favour of cosmetics and more content, quite the contrary, they've been working tirelessly to find the cause of these crashes. With each patch that attempts to fix these crashes, they get closer and closer to the source of the problem. As it was previously posted before they did a HUGE overhaul on the server code, which was tested privately and then publicly in order to test the stability as it aims to improve playability for Mac and Android users. In fact, to showcase how serious the situation is they even announced a reward for whoever finds and shows how to replicate the bug that has been crashing the servers, not to mention issues with host providers in which are out of the dev's hands. Despite all of this they are always looking for a solution to these issues, always trying to not affect as much as possible the user experience in the process. One misconception i want to clarify with this, in contrast to that era v/s the current code, a lot of changes and improvements have been made. Sure servers were stable but they also came with their fair share of bugs and unfixable/uncodeable abilities, moves and items. Even the slightest addition could potentially bring the servers to a halt for how sphagetti the code was. Ever since Walross assumed the leadership of the project this sphagetti coded has been slowly reduced, fixed, replaced and reaccomodated. What has this done for us? Quite the array of things: The implemention of previously thought non-possible to code abilities, movements and even mechanics (Like megas, which was hugely requested in great amounts but wasn't possible due to the previously mentioned sphagetti code). Huge improvements on tools staff use (For both content and moderation team). Dynamic cutscenes and interactable events (Puzzles through NPCs, pokemon and such for example). Unlike before, bugs are being addressed and fixed as soon as possible. Old times were enjoyable, but did not offer much to do after completing the game. Now there are various activities to do even after finishing the game. Whether you may percieve this as an improvement or a downgrade is up to you but the game has changed quite significantly and for the good. In regards to the interface, its true that there are a lot of places the game could improve upon. Boxes, Pokedex, you can name it. However, aside from requiring the involvement of the Artists and Devs, Devs also have priorities to attend. These things will be addressed eventually, however, at the time there are different issues to attend to. We are are well aware of the issues the game is currently under, but its not as simple as to snap our fingers to fix it. We can only ask for patience until a definitive fix is found by our Devs.1 point

You have misunderstood my points, please have a look one my previous comment for detailed explanation, as I didnt say that cosmetics and events are the main cause especially not cosmetics... but events they could be another burden on the server as u mentioned via rams memories.... Instead of directly attacking me understand the context. infact no one knows what is causing the crash thus its not spreading false information. A very important point is that I didnt say that the devs are useless or they are unprofessional infact I said that they need to outsource another prof devs but that doesn't mean I'm underestimating the current ones cause as you mentioned yourself even if they are prof devs they are unable to resolve the issue thus getting support will make things easier. I hope its clearer for you now1 point

Yeah truthfully the amount of times that the server crashes during these events, pvp matches, world quest and during rare pokemon encounters & every other aspect of the game I feel like is has really started to kill the morale of the players and I know of quite a few who have already quit because of it. It always seems like fingers are being pointed to the servers being [heck] but I don't believe thats the case at all, especially because the game was recently moved to new servers within the past few months and still we have the same issues. The problem has to fall on the programming side of things, so I would agree with the recommendations of this post. Aside from that and I am sure you guys are overwhelmed but the gameplay (when the server is not crashing) is becoming very stale all in itself. The game has become super redundant, we hit the same bosses, same daily hustles, same old not quite gen7 OU format in PvP, which has pretty much had the same meta/team setups being used for the past year that I've been playing. I am not one to complain about a lot of things cause I love this game but not as much as I used to.1 point

Cosmetics, events etc. are done by different people. Just because we get new cosmetics etc. doesnt mean that the server issues are not being adressed. Fixing the servers has the absolute highest priority for the developers right now. An option to reconnect is already on the devs to-do-list as you can check here but is probably just not that easy to implement. https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/159019-dev-to-do-list/1 point

Enjoyment: 6/10 I enjoyed the event quite a bit, because of its nice mapping, graphics, and art. But the server crashes made the event a bit annyoing. Quest Difficulty: Medium The Quest was "Medium" for me since some parts are easy then it's getting more difficult as you progress through the quest, especially the Nidoqueen Rescue, and the Dragon's Neck Quest. Story/Lore perspective: 7/10 The story was well written, but, I think it could have more twists to make the event more exciting and fun. Effort/Reward Ratio: 6/10 Rewards were decent, but I suggest to make the Effort and Reward ratio more balanced.1 point

Oh believe me I was quite annoyed, however there's not much I can do about it now. The only thing I can do is try and get it implemented to give a prompt which is why I created the thread. I mean, not to mention the one person I messaged from the discord moderators told me it was "Obvious" that it was a "Wild Pokemon" This made me more annoyed than the actual loss of the pokemon tbh1 point

As I played PRO I noticed that some NPC's give quests for a reward related to the storyline, some Legendary Quests, Mega Stone quests, and many more Quests. So for players to understand the quests better, here are my suggestions: 1. As an NPC gives a quest an information of the quest given will pop up. And the players will have to exit the pop up after reading the information of the quest. Here is an Example: Quest: Find a Poke'mon! Description: Will you help this trainer get his first Poke'mon? Reward: 5 Poke Balls 2. A quests section at the bottom left of the game. Along with the PVP, Backpack, Trainer and Social sections, I also suggest to put a quests section there. After you click the quests section a pop up full of quest information will be shown including the difficulty, time given, compulsory or not, the region where it's given and other helpful information that can help the player understand the specific quest better. And also there you will see your incompleted and completed quests with full information and rewards of the quest. 3. At the quests section, players are also free to sort the quests where they are comfortable with. Here are some Examples: Sort by: - Difficulty - Region (Kanto-Johto-Hoenn-Sinnoh) - Compulsory or not - Tier of rewards - Time given - Completed and incompleted quests How will this help the community? My suggestion will help many players understand quests better than usual, also some quest guides will still be helpful, because this suggestion is just to help players understand, not the full walkthrough. Strengths? It will help players under stand the quests better than usual. Weaknesses? It makes the quests a bit easier to do than usual. So that's it! Hope you like my Suggestion. Also feel free to comment down below if you any feedback for my suggestion - Leafbolt81 point

Hello trainers! There are several major projects for content in doing that I feel you should know about. I will note some of them down before someone leaks it the wrong way. - New Region New region is a custom approach. We call it a mini-region. But it's actually very huge. It is called Astrella, and it's done mapping wise. Region will feature a variety of spawns (gen 7 area), new content, quests, events, trade city and much more. It will be ready once script-work is done for it and once gen 7+ is fully operational, will not release it before that. Reason for a custom area is a simple one. We are unable to map anything past Unova graphic wise without having it improvised 99% and waste much time into art. The MMO setting commands a new region, so it's being delivered. With it, we will have whole game spawned with old and new Pokemon, closer to being complete. The region is currently in hands of scripters. Once they are done, I will spawn it, so you can catch some of the new Pokemon when we receive a full gen 7 update. - Unova Unova is planned and is slowly being mapped. Once it is done and ready, the whole game will be respawned from scratch due to distribution of the Pokemon around PRO world. We are also looking for mapping manpower to complete the task so that mapping side is done and ready for people to script on. - Orange Islands The Orange Islands are also being mapped and planned. Not much to say about this one. ** Note that plans may change any time. But what I said above is a current plan and it's being worked on. I want to have all mapping done before the schedule so that people can start working on the maps script wise etc. Thank you1 point
