Greetings! I'm a relatively new player to PRO, but I am a successful business man in life. I find enjoyment in researching, sourcing, and distributing products and thus I decided I was going to dabble in PRO's economy. I sold some Coin Capsules for the starting capital, got some false swipe memento gallades, made a few successful trading buddies, bought 700 super repels, 800 great balls, and began my journey about a week ago to dabble in tier 8 and 9 rare pokemon. And then today, after the 7th day of nothing viable, with thousands of repels and great balls gone, I decided to re-evaluate my business venture decisions to find a new path to mega-millions success. Thus I took to my favorite weapon of business.... the spreadsheet. What I discovered is that PRO does not have an actual healthy economy. It's a gambling ring. As a long time player of multiple MMO's one thing i've found that always draws a larger crowd and keeps the game running, is a healthy competitive economy. But PRO has pokemon hunters too right? Those folks you're running into out there grinding, farming, and hunting? They don't actually know their ROI, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it. For those that don't really like math, i'll try to break some of this down as common place as possible so the spreadsheet attached below does make sense, and then get into the ideas I have for potential remedies, their pluses, and their downsides. At-least from a player base perspective. Okay, you've made it this far. Math time! The probability of any multiple things occurring, that do not have a correlation and causation effect on each other, are simply calculated by Probability of item A * probability of Item B, and so on and so on. The neat thing about pokemon, is everything is random rolled, so nothing about a pokemon you see in the wild is correlated. It's all random, so the math is made easy! So with that in mind, I averaged out my encounters over a few thousand repels, with a tier 8 rare pokemon. This gave me the "average" step count, which could very well have a higher deviation than i'm comfortable with, but alas, I don't have a few hundred friends to assist with this. So bare with me please. With the average steps required and the probability formula in hand, all I had to do was yoink someone else's beautiful IV probability forumula right off our forums. (I lost the post, but whoever you are, I thank you.) Which we got as (32-Desired IV)/31 Super simple! Thus I put all the numbers together into a spreadsheet... and viola! That 20/20 Atk/Spe adamant Tier 8 Drag with normal ability you just bought for 200k and felt like you got robbed? That pokemon takes on average $67,438 pokedollars in ultra balls, and 1,873 hours of walking in place to get. If they had to repel trick, it's cost average is $769,923.98 pokedollars to get. If time is money, we apparently, are not worth much in this economy! Also to note, this does not include the time, effort, or resources it took to EV train, level, and teach that sucker moves. That 31/31 Ada HA with correct nature you just got for 10+mil? Yea that suckers cost average resources and labor value is 18.5mil with no repels, and 210mil with. (Just remember, repel trick = faster find, no repel trick = longer) The better the stats get, and the more rare the pokemon, the larger the disparity on the cost average to average market sell price gets. Aka, there are some poor souls out there in the wilderness scraping away just to pay others to take their pokemon, or fiending for an addiction hoping to hit the jackpot. Neither are very healthy. Spreadsheet sample, I will happily provide the full spreadsheet with all tiers of rarity at anyone's request. (PLEASE remember, there's no way I can guarantee the step counts. I do my best, but deviation will always exist. The cost is right, but time and step counts? Could very well be wrong.) So... if your brain hurts from that, mine does too. That's a whole lot of probabilities less likely than catching lighting with both hands, winning the lottery with my right foot, and catching a legit shiny Mew with my left foot, at the same time. So how do we offset these disparities? We don't like breeding. We want interaction, MMO environment, longevity, and sustainability. 1- In-game Auction House. Auction houses bring with them some of the most competitive pricing you can find in any game. If you don't have the tricks of the trade, you won't have the price to sell. I have no idea how to code, and whether it's feasible or not. But I do know that public forums that present information, like an auction house in game, or raw material index in real life, bring stability to pricing modules. There's no way you're selling that 15/15 Dragonite for 800k when there's 45x20/20's on the AH for 400k. However, it does mean a stable price point will be visible and set accurately reflecting supply, demand, and labor+cost average for your farmers to make their money and feed their poke-families with. (I know this is on the way, i just couldn't help but re-add it, and hope we get one more thing with it!) 2- Sweet Scent. (With a twist?) The worry about sweet scent, is it can be abused by many, which will bring down and devalue the markets pricing on pokemon. Soooo... how do we get around it? You limit the supply of sweet scents available to the market. One of two ways, A) Make it a shop purchasable item (not a move) with a weekly cap, or B) Make it a weekly reward for bosses/events with a cap on how many that can be earned. (again, not a move). Will we see some fluctuation in pricing with sweet scent? Yes. Product versus demand is always real. Could it be rolled out with an Auction House "Commerce" update to balance it out? Absolutely! 3-Resell limits. Simple. Pokemon may be sold by their OT to one other trainer. That trainer may sell that pokemon one time. That pokemon may NOT be sold/traded ever again, and is either used or released back into the wild to begin the cycle of life anew. Pros? By limiting resell, we increase market demand for hunters/grinders to get out there and do their job. This increases the average amount of tries to obtain the desired pokemon, and stabilizes pricing and flow. Cons? This could upset a few "flippers" who like the scam newbies out of their pokes and re-sell them for profit, but honestly I don't like those kind of businessmen anyways. Also, how the heck would you code this? Beats me. Last con I can think of. if we implement healthy commerce, the prices of some pokemon will drop drastically, while others will sky rocket. (Looking at that 31/31 HA Jolly Metagross). So all of a sudden, nobody can afford these pokemon right!?! Wrong! A slight increase to certain PvE/PvP content payout after some metrics have been recorded, and the influx of hunters selling to distributors for resell will stabilize cash flow all around. Will you be able to get that super cool god roll poke when you've put no time or effort into getting cashflow or hunting it without crazy luck? Nope. But who gets rich or beats end game content in MMO's without time, effort, and community anyways? If you read this far, thank you for reading my rant and viewing the numbers. I'll be returning to my obligatory 3 meter deep worn 2x4 walking path on the moon with a full bag of repels and ultra balls to hurt my self more, because sadly, there's no other way and doggone it I like gambling too.2 points

would love to see our past highest history rating, everyone already said that but it would be so nice to have finally. and it would also be cool if it would show the exact win % you have in ranked / unranked as well as your all time win%2 points

Hey, I will just give an answer to every suggestion. Has been suggested multiple times in the past already but yes still +1 to this. Would probably require a re-design of the pokemon card since it would look a bit cluttered with the current one imo. Could definetely be a project in the future but for now I guess the Artist team probably has other high priority projects. Decent idea imo but once again would probably require some sort of re-design since the circles below are either for land or water as you already mentioned. Could see it introduced far in the future for sure. Not sure about the reason why that would be needed tbh. There is no star at the pokemon you evolve from so it doesnt really interfere with anything or am I missunderstanding something? +1 to this, really good QoL change which should be considered to get changed. Maybe even with a toggle in the options to use the current system or the new one if we get one in the future. Not really needed but yea may be cool for some stuff, +1 Would like to see that introduced as well, may be nice for memories about your pokemon, +1 +1 to adding any information like that to the actual client ingame. Me and my friend group of about 6-7 people started playing a week or so ago and each day we think of new ideas that would make the game better, so im just going to make a list of them here. 1. When you click on a pokemon in your line up or in your pc, have it also show the hidden power of it. Right now you have to send it in the chat to see the hidden power. 2. In the box on the right that shows which pokemon spawn near you, make the circle under the ms only ones pink for a faster visual confirmation rather then having to hover over it to see a pink name. When an undiscovered ms only pokemon is near you the "?" shows up pink, why not make the circle under it also pink. or even make the circle half pink half green for land, or pink/blue for water. 3. An option to release pokemon from the catch preview screen. 4. an in-game auction house, that people can add pokemon to for a small price, set the minimum price, the minimum bid increase, the duration of the auction, and instant buy. This can also be a set price only auction. When the auction time has run out a pop up appears for the winner and seller and both have to confirm the sale and once both confirm the game automatically takes the pokemon, and the money and swaps it. 5. An option in the pc to move pokemon around without having to replace your line up to try and organize the pc. Also an option for folders in the pc, if you drag a pokemon to the created folder then it goes into the folder. 6. In the box on the right that shows pokemon around you, add a star next to pokemon you have evolved, like there is a pokeball if you have caught it. 7. Add a different star on pokemon you have evolved from so it doesnt interfere with the evolved data. (i.e - a green star on charmander if you have evolved it to charmeleon, and a gold star on charmeleon as there already is) This would make the dex more appealing to have to look at as all pokemon would look equal with a star and pokeball. 8. An option to permanently move pop up screens, and permanently leave them up. (Pin friends list to always stay open in the spot you have it, so its there when you log in, if you move the catch preview box it should stay where you move it even if you close it. Trade channel pokemon pop ups as well. basically everything you can click on that opens a box. ) 9. A count box that shows how many of a certain pokemon you have seen. (i.e - open your dex, search magikarp, and somewhere on there it says "You have seen 942 magikarp!") 10. When you click on a pokemon in your pc or line up, have it say the location it was caught somewhere. 11. A boss panel that shows all discovered bosses and how much longer there is until you can battle them again. 12. trader ratings!! Im sure there is a lot more ideas that will come across all of us, but these are only a few that we have thought of for now. If you read all this then god bless you lol.1 point

Really nice, thank you for the post. Correct me if I understood it wrong, but the way I see that 700k in your calculation is the cost for any 20+ in Desired Stats, etc., so it does make sense for a 20/20 only Atk/Spd to fall on the lower end of the spectrum (200k in your hypothesis). Still, of course Pokemon price would only become more expensive if we include in opportunity cost also, as in for the time you spend hunting you could instead have made money in many other ways (and arguably faster?). As you have said tho, hunting is gambling, the odds might not be in our favors but heck, don't we all enjoy the thrill out of it when good things happen Or as many hunters would say, they hunt for that OT's pride. They are interesting suggestions. I too am looking forward to Auction House as it could have a very big impact on the game depends on the final design it takes shape (looking at Global Trading List on other MMO tho I'm pretty sure PRO's auction house would be simpler with a different purpose in mind). And yes, I'd love a copy of your excel spreadsheet for future references! Thanks for your time making this.1 point

Numbers in the spreadsheet aren't really hard to understand. However, the time invested fpr creating it is appreciated. As you said, I disagree with the time factor, I believe it takes much, MUCH mess. Responding to the suggestions: 1. It has been suggested already, and is being worked on. I hope it works like neopets auctions. 2. I prefer for it to just be coded. I strongly believe that the market will re-balance itself, probably producing a lower range of varying prices. 3. Kind of like pokémon go? I completely disagree with this one, it would limit the economy completely, disbanding it from being a real free market.1 point

It would be nice if pvpers could show off our highest rating achieved on our trainer card. Maybe even a badge for tournament wins or top 3 ladder placements. The friendly battles won/lost/disconnects stats are meaningless on the other hand and can be removed. The ideal pvp match window for me would first let you select a ladder (ou, uu, random, etc), then from there you can search for a match, view current ladder placements, maybe even some other data like the top 25 usage. To expand it even more, if there were some extra features like a teambuilder to build and store teams, integrated damage calculator/team weakness chart, etc could take what we usually have to do outside of pro right into the game. It would definitely be a lot of extra work, but if I had to imagine the perfect game would have all of these little features. Even putting in a "notes" section would be a good start, we could write out our own speed tier charts, a team list, ev spreads, etc1 point

i was thinking that you would add in trainer cards of high scored history pvp streak that how many pvp rate streak wins i did in my career. Like in March 2021 when i scored highest rate of 326 pvp ratings. and it would help me remember correctly how lucky i made it ever since.1 point

Hello moi c'est Looni 34 ans je suis facteur et suis en jeu entre 15h et 23h generalement, mon but est de continuer a pvp, etant actuellement chez predators, je pense pouvoir contribuer un peu au rating de la guilde, et surtout pouvoir jouer avec des fr, matter les match des autres et conseiller si besoin et me faire conseiller Jai eu des reroll iv plutot venere (praize Lord Bidoof et le double reroll) et suis motivé plus que jamais a casser des fions en pvp (et yen a dautres :p)1 point

Battle animation adjustments //That mainly affects the catch animation and a few small adjustments. Battle log //Some plans but probably not easy with ngui. Box rework //A general box rework to add more filters, split the boxes, add mass delete and so on. Double battles //Battle together with your friends and against your enemies within and outside the story! Dungeon á la Mystery Dungeons //Player will have to climb maps as a Pokemon. Repetitive content with a chance of different rewards at the top. Dynamic window layering //There are so many window layering problems recently that I rather add dynamic window layering a la Windows. Event icons rework //The current icon code is really, really bad and needs a rework so we can easily add more information/icons. EXP rework //Our EXP formular is wrong and uses the wrong value for the exp group. This might need a complete spawn and trainer level rework for the story. EXP share //EXP share à la gen2 where the Pokemon that held the item always got its EXP share. Fishing Rework //We plan to make it a mini-game similar to how fishing works in Minecraft. Mail adjustments //Check whether an item is mailable or not when putting it in the mail and not after trying to send it and a mail confirmation to avoid sending it to the wrong user. Make flying mounts/followers keep flying while standing still //Upgrade of the animation capability for the character sprites. Possibly new animation options. Mod tools updates //Mainly for GMs, a few fixes and small feature requests. Nuzlocke Server //A just for fun server with Nuzlocke features. PvP battle replay //Save, play, review and share your battles. PvP battle spectate //Option to allow others to spectate your battles, possibly with a delay. Random Battles and ladder //Not much to say about. Reconnect //That's not only for PvP but in general so users that disconnect unplanned reconnect without even realizing it in the background. Very complex problems. Rework multi-hits //In handhelds every multi-hit has its own damage calculation, crit chance and so on. Required for Parental Bond. Rework winning order //Right now, moves like Destiny Bond and recoil let the wrong user win if both die the same turn. Server merge //Merge gold and silver together and increase the box limit from 1000 to 2000. Show Pokemon and whether they are dead or alive in PvP battles //Initially planned to replace the Pokeballs with the Pokemon sprite but the Pokemon sprites are too big, and resizing them makes it impossible to identify the Pokemon. Android cannot see anything so they were added elsewhere. Slider to change how many users you can see on the same map //To unburden old hardware without the need to use foreveralone. Options to see friends- and/or guildies-only as well. Terrains //Terrain moves, the needed abilities and Terrain Extender for Tapus. Player/Social window rework //Similar rework as PvP window but for the social tab. We could possibly add following features: Boss Cooldowns Page: NPC sprite, name, location, current win-streak, cooldown timer, weekly boss limit counter, friendlist: status message, last online, guild: last online, user rating, Input field with an invite button, guild creating in social/player window, /foreveralone check box, time ladder, PMs enabled for everyone/friends option instead of using the online status as indicator. Team Builder //Create teams with your Pokemon and replace your whole team with a single click instead of looking for every Pokemon in your box. Transform and Imposter //Ditto needs some love. Two-factor authentication //With 2FA, you need to use two things to prove it's really you before you can log into your account. For example, you might need to enter your password (that's one factor) and then type in a special code that's sent to your phone (that's the second factor). By using 2FA, it's harder for someone else to get into your account because they would need to have both your password and access to your phone. Username borders //Didn't think about it any further. Visual for active stat changes //Not sure how to do that yet, might be a space-related problem. Visual for environment moves //Probably just a new background as long as the rooms are active, Artists where are you?
