Translation Proposal: Making the Game Multilingual for a Global Experience
Starlight replied to Winor's topic in Suggestions
+1 to this Personal opinion here, I'd even say things like translation project and updating the Pokemon PC Box storage system should have been given priority over making Astrella. -
+1 for the intention, even though I'm not sure it can be made to work that way. We do need a way to easily share freshly caught Pokemon without having to go back to PC first.
-
+1 Translating the entire game into another language is unfeasible, but translating just one message at the start of the game should be doable. That being said, detecting player's location might be difficult. Probably just make one big message box that shows the "Please use "Other" chat if not speaking English" message in multiple languages.

Huh, I vaguely recall they wiped accounts before, so an account that has been inactive since 5 years ago shouldn't still exist.....I wonder if I just misremembered it.

Battle entry effect for more event form Pokemon
Starlight replied to Masterbroccoli's topic in Suggestions
I'm very sure Halloween form is supposed to have an entry animation since a few years ago, I wonder what happened to that. Heck, not even all of the Christmas form have the snowflake entry animation. And yeah, I agree, valentine/easter/summer/halloween forms all should have entry animation as well. Some other forms like shadow and pink getting entry animation, would be great too. -
It would be bad if all the new ones are MS only. But yeah, I also think excavation spawns could use an update, like adding some gen 7 and gen 8 Pokemon.
-
Everstone sure, but Eviolite actually has seen use in competitive. Still, more items being recycleable is a +1 from me.
-
I'm sure they planned for that as well, a lot of the over 600 BST legendaries are pretty powerful.
-
+1 from me as well, outbreak is a very neglected feature lately
-
Yeah, at the very least we need the "All" name to be changed because it really does not reflect the intention/use of the chat channel.

It's nice to see people who still tries to appreciate the story instead of just rushing through them. Part of the reason why official Pokemon games are so ridiculously dumb now is because of impatient people who rushed through the story just so they can start doing pvp battles. So now official games get less and less content (dex cut, no more various battle facilities, and a weaker story), just so that those people can get it quickly done and over with and can focus on just pvp. Which is boring. Anyway, back to PRO. I never really feel it's weird back then, I just think it's amusing that we have this reference and that reference, and I really enjoy seeing all those references. But now that I think about it after seeing your post, maybe at some parts the story would appreciate a rework. I couldn't really pinpoint any though, it's been years since I finished Sinnoh story so it's been a while since the last time I experienced the story, haha. And it looks like Sharktooth is indeed going to try doing something with the region stories after Astrella is done, so that's nice to hear, I guess.

[Story][Battle][Mechanics] Some suggestions from a galaxy far away ~
Starlight replied to Vilrose's topic in Suggestions
Yeah, I always feel odd when it's raining in overworld but not in battle. That also got me thinking, maybe some areas should have a chance to get sunny day effect in battle during daytime when it's not raining in the overworld. Ability and move animations, the reason why we still don't have many of them is stated to be a lack of talented artists doing them for PRO........I wonder if it's impossible to just use the animations from gen 3/4/5 games, and why? As for the empty box when you hover on your Pokemon, that is actually used for entry hazards. But yeah, a box that shows current stat up/down effect on the Pokemon would be nice to have. -
Yeah, sometimes we don't remember the full name of a map (especially if it's something long like Johto Safari maps, or something like Meteor Falls maps.......). So a "map name suggestion" feature would be nice to have.
-
I see this already has "Denied" tag without any explanation lol. But I think they denied it because Shiny Legendary is meant to be exclusive to staff reward, and they want to keep it that way.
-
Yeah, but they need Artists to add the attack animation first, and apparently it takes a while. I wonder if they can't just take animations from Gen 3 - Gen 5 games due to some kind of incompatibility or something. also, +1 for the quest note/tab. I think staffs are already aware it's one of the highly requested feature.
-
+1. At the very least, please change Cerulean Cave a bit...... Also, Johto already has its own Cerulean Cave - it's the Dragon Shrine map where boss Lance is, but its spawns don't differ much from Cerulean Cave, type-wise, so in the end there's not much reason to spend the extra mile going to Johto's Dragon Shrine when you can just go to Kanto's Cerulean Cave. So a high level area in Johto with completely different types for the spawns would be really great, particularly for training different Pokemon that isn't very comfortable to train in Cerulean Cave, which also means an incentive to walk the extra mile (or spend money for the train ticket) to go there instead of staying in Cerulean Cave.

Feedback/Thoughts on 'Alolan Marowak Special Event'/Events
Starlight replied to Marksman1303's topic in General Game Talk
Trying to find a very rare form chance on top of an already very rare spawn chance, under a limited time, is something only bots could do, not players. If people play less and less, then I'm sure this is one of the reasons, they are tired of seeing the game not really rewarding their grind, because the chance for a reward is too tiny to begin with, so instead, there's a very high chance that all the time and effort spent for the grind ends up worthless. I'm still on my belief that if the Pokemon is rarer, then the form chance should also be much higher, to compensate for the rarity of the spawn. I think that's what we truly can call "Balance". (This naturally doesn't and shouldn't apply to Pinks and shinies, which are obtainable anytime, not restricted to an event.) As an example of what kind of good balance I'd like to see: Anything that's Rare should have between 1/100 to 1/50 event form chance, depending on the spawn rate. If it's Repel Trick-able, then it should be between 1/70 to 1/50, basically to also compensate for the amount of money spent on repels. Anything that's Uncommon should have between 1/500 to 1/250 event form chance, depending on the spawn rate. Anything that's Common should have between 1/1000 to 1/800 event form chance, depending on the spawn rate. For the upcoming Halloween event, I think we should at the very least get back that 1/50 Halloween chance for all starter Pokemon, without any change to the starters' spawn rate. That is really balanced, starter spawn is already rare to begin with, but the event form chance is good. Heck, there was one time where the Halloween form chance for all starter Pokemon is 1/20, but okay, even I think that's way too high. I'd be happy with 1/50. Similarly, Christmas event, it's celebrating what very possibly is the biggest holiday in the world, it should be fun. The form chance, again, should be 1/1000 or higher, up to 1/50 for the rarest spawn. -
The only Zekrom move that Kyurem-Black can learn, is Fusion Bolt. Right now, to have Fusion Bolt on Kyurem Black, you need the Kyurem to have the move Scary Face before fusing it with Zekrom. Scary Face will become Fusion Bolt on Kyurem-Black. If you already fused your Kyurem, unfuse it via the same crystal thing in the cave, teach it Scary Face, then fuse it again.

wouldn't mind this, although it would be even better if there's an option, either to the port town of the current region for 2.5k, or we can pick a port town regardless of region for 5k.

+1, that useless egg slot is such an eyesore XD

denied Remove shiny lock from trees, excavation & dig spots
Starlight replied to Gatso's topic in Suggestions
+1 Also event forms too, in addition to shinies. Regarding rarity, between doing wild encounter or headbutt/dig/excavation, I feel there's no real difference in the encounter itself, the only difference is how you trigger the encounter, which is by interacting instead of by walking. And not every interaction yields an encounter, exactly just like how not every single time you walk into a grass you will get an encounter. Plus, headbutt/dig/excavation have limit, not only in the number of times you can do them per week, but also, they're limited by the number of trees/holes/rocks you can interact with, unlike regular wild hunting which you can do 24/7 anywhere. So I don't see how adding shiny chance to headbutt/dig/excavation would greatly affect rarity and suddenly make shinies/event forms far more common. (also, considering headbutt/dig is a money sink via the cost to travel the regions, and excavation is a money sink via the cost to enter the areas, giving more incentive like this would make people sink more money into them) -
+1 I've heard before that the intention is so that there's a reason for people to hunt at the Safari, but......maybe do that with a Pokemon that's not the starter? The imbalance here is far more obvious because we have other Kanto starters to compare with Bulbasaur.

Just for the record, an additional info from me, a Physical Sceptile is indeed possible thanks to its expansive physical movepool, particularly with Adamant/Jolly nature. (But you'll most likely not gonna run it as Mega. If you want Mega Sceptile, Modest/Timid set is better.) If you ever want to make a proper Physical Sceptile one day, in addition to high IV on both Attack and Speed, aim for those nature, either Adamant or Jolly works. I personally prefer Adamant since I personally think it needs Attack boost more, its base Speed is pretty high already. The rest like movepool, ability, item, and EV, are the same as what Electrocute already suggested.
