I don't know about Discord Moderator selection about staff selection, we had an open recruitment, most of who here claim staff are so bad never applied or applied and failed their workshop or app'ship. No, staff members get a ton of hate for no reason, they get removed from staff if they reveal prior to a certain date. Staff members are not supposed to be known at first. I'll just get straight to the point. Part of my duties as staff member is to make unbias decisions unlike former staffs, yes I was unjustified banned. I can even prove it now as there was never evidence for anything. However in your case (Akalli/Tr3y); there was evidence. There was evidence of Tr3y already boosting An1ma back in the day. Do you expect us to believe after a long time with no match, both of you suddenly randomly match against each other? The fact that you also play together and PvP via screensharing makes this a very obvious thing. I took on the case because it was the best call here. The match had to be explained and you did so, got unbanned. You actually got unbanned because you remembered details you posted in our Discord. I could not care less whatsoever what you think about me, you feel betrayed but this has nothing to do with anything. This was a common procedure and that's it. If I hurt your feelings, so be it but this had nothing to do with bias. I wasn't even a Moderator at the time. I wasn't even an apprentice at the time. Do you really believe that I was in a position to remove a long standing Admin? No. The tournament now is handled by me and Shinohara mainly so this type of thing should not happen again. As for Tr3y's ban, it was one of the three out of his 6 that was actually fair and justified. If you think we don't fight bias then you are clearly wrong, we spent most of the time discussing cases, arguing a lot. @Eaty Can be my witness, I annoy him all the time when I discuss because I do not stop even if it doesn't fit into my area. Nikola wanted me in staff which was obviously bias. Unbias recruitment is hard to do, I wouldn't recruit myself either. A fresh Moderator can't just decide not to take someone as staff or even remove them however now I can pick recruits from open recruitment I see fitting. I recruited 3 new Moderators, 2 people I never talked to or even knew and 1 who I knew before. You can not work with people you hate/dislike so much however staffs had to deal with that when working with me. There were staff members who quit staff because of me however in the end it worked out. I can watch over everything my Moderators as Team Lead, I can overrule them as I see fit and I do that already. Senrosia however improved, is he perfect? No but who of us is? Nobody. Does one mistake or two or three make him a bad Moderator? No. Do things he did in the past or as Dmod make him a bad Moderator now? Stop holding useless unjustified grudges. We can call out misbehavior left and right. Nobody said that staffs are never wrong, we learn from our mistakes however if I see complaints about why people can't talk about genocide or incest then I can say with certainty that players are wrong in that subject. I also can say that players say we punish older players less harsh than newer players is also wrong. When players tell us we bias ban people, I can safely say that this is not the case as I was falsely banned for 8 months by former staff. I wouldn't allow such things to happen to anyone. I can tell you how we decide that, we look at the evidence we collect before issuing any punishments. A common complaint from players is "X Mod muted me for no reason", the complaints usually go as follows "I post all warnings, screenshots and reasons for the mutes" and they either realize their mistake or they don't but nobody gets punished out of the blue. If they do, feel free to report it.

This invalidates everything you say because this is just not the case ever, like never ever would a scammer get a pass for scamming anyone. Your definition of scamming is different than ours. Someone posting that they want to sell a rather average Pokemon for 500k, is not scamming. Long time players do not get a pass for anything, in fact they are punished the same way as everyone else. There is criticism and then there is ranting about stuff because X/Y/Z. I have players who are disliking me because I didn't ban people they wanted to see banned (e.g lack of evidence). There is obviously deeply wrong if you think they can not take criticism as in fact if they actually done mistakes they would be taught how to improve. Most of the time players are just wrong, as sad as this sounds. As Moderator Team Leader I oversee complaints about my moderators and from experience I can tell you right away that 95% of these are just players ranting about a punishment when it was well within our Punishment Policy and rules were broken. Players may not agree with rules but that doesn't give them the right to break and then complain about it. Can you give me an example? Not the case, just explaining things from our POV. We already made changes based on this thread so this is just not true. What is excessive? 5 more letter? 20? I draw the line at 5-6 because there is no reason for that. excessive = more than is necessary, normal, or desirable; immoderate. Are 5 or 20 more letters necessary? Comments like this are discouraging, nothing else. We made the thread for a reason and you discrediting helps us 0 %. Is there a need to use excessive letters? Is there a need to spam? Is there a need to use vulgar language? Is there a need to be rude? Those are all very simple things yet some don't agree with that. There are also some that don't agree with the game being PG and want to swear like nothing else. Those things will not happen, with all due respect to everyone, we have to moderate otherwise it just ends up in chaos. How do I know that? I was there when no moderator was online and those things were left untouched. It was unpleasant to be around at best. A warning is just that a warning, even if you are muted it doesn't go on your record. It becomes very apparent that it's just "community vs staff", at some point and we will not have that type of thing in our game. Help Chat is that, a Help Chat. We have an All Chat for conversations, if the conversations goes too far off-topic you get warned. Helping new players is one thing, using Help Chat as second All Chat is another. We still answer if posts come around. I will not comment on that whatsoever, it is not our area and we keep your opinions about it to ourselves. There are differences between Discord and the game, you need the game to play, you don't need the Discord to play. No, rules are different per medium

Not going to happen. I will close this suggestion and right of the bat deny this as this is something we will never do.

Open Recruitment with applications or selected invites (like I was invited to staff) They will go through a workshop where we filter out people that don't really fit, we do a few tasks but nothing we can actually disclose to the public. After that and to answer your next question we decide in what roles they fit in, sometimes staff switch role because they are not happy with it or because they simply don't fit in. Let's take me as example, I was supposed to be a CC, Fluffles wanted to be a Tmod and became a CC and Logan switched from Mod to Tmod later on. The applicants might not know where they fit but if they have strong attributes in some categories we will know where to fit them. I don't quite get that question, like if we actually talked to the applicants? Your past will be a huge factor when accepting or declining staff. Your past 100% reflects back on you but I am a perfect example on how many "infractions" you can actually have and still be staff. It's all about other factors as long as you are honest.
