We would like to ask your opinion about a potential new feature. The feature would send a system messages (e.g. Fishing Contest), each time that a player encounters a shiny or very rare form. What would be announced? Shiny →→ [ALL Rarities/Tiers] Shadow Pokemon →→ [ALL Rarities/Tiers] Event Pokemon →→ [Only Rare Tier) The reasoning behind implementing such a feature would be to provide players with the impression that catching rare forms is not an insurmountable task, while also motivating them to actively hunt for these forms. It could offer an extra boost of instant gratification. We are worried that players might be approached by profit sharks or feel pressured to sell their newly acquired Pokemon, and the amount of message could be perceived as excessive especially during events. You could configure whether the system message displays your username or posts anonymously (hiding your username, default). Additionally, you would have the option to turn off the system messages for yourself. If you have any other concerns, we would be grateful if you could share them with us in the thread below. Your feedback is important to us.

+1 Points to be noted - It should be turned off at first as default. User have to turn it on. Let's keep it to uncommon and rare only for all types i.e., event,pink and shiny.

In my experience of playing another mmo that does this, harrassment is minimal, in fact it incentivises people to congratulate one another and discuss their encounters. I think this is the right decision but also I believe that if messages just show 'A player encountered X' that this is going to feel more like spam as it lacks the personal touch of using a name. This can be fine tuned to ensure it does not spam chat by removing a category that posts too often e.g. pink commons for example. I am glad you're looking to add this feature, community interaction is desperately needed for PRO to grow bigger and this should help a little towards achieving that.

I also agree with you. It would be a great idea that its added to the game. But it should ONLY be implemented if its turned off by default settings same as the repel prompt. Otherwise it would be bad for people that dont want others to know they caught it but they didnt know it could be turned off. New players might find rare shiny and it would always be shown cause they might not know that they could turn the message off. +1 ONLY if its turned off by default settings but can be atictavted for those who want it to show. Same as repel prompt. Otherwise big -1 Otherwise it would also create a big mess if every caught shiny is shown as a message. + it would be a "play" ground for scammers. Since as explained some players would mabye find a shiny rare in story and its show in all. They would be harrassed or scammed Cause they didnt know they could turn it off in settings.

+1 Coming from someone who has tried all other poke mmos, it was one of my favorite features. It creates discussion, makes chat way more active, and encourages people to hunt more. A first impression of an MMO is really important, and right now the chat makes the game look inactive. Seeing people encountering things and congratulating each other creates a sense of community and I'm super happy this could get implemented.

This is a realy good idea community wise and I'd support that. I can also see that with the features you presentated this should work like a charm ! However, my concerns are as followed: - I feel it will be unnecessary to display Common Shinies, as most of them are insignificant and will create spam. On the other hand I have no issue with Uncommons and Rares. - Will every Pink be displayed like Shadow Pokémon ? As you know Pink Pokémon are H24 huntable as opposed to Shadow Pokémon. For this reason I think only Uncommon and Rare Pinks should be displayed and also because of the 1/1500 chance for Pinks that would lead to more spam.

I mean again, players can disable the feature and even hide their names from being shown, so I don't see that being a problem anymore.

I think this will be good for the game. Make it more competitive when people can really see you getting the goods. I hope this get implemented!

Like the idea, would be better to get the announcement after catching the pokemon though. Would avoid missclicks that may happen when closing pms incase you don't want to be anonymous. Incase we get multiple tiers announced would be good to have option to toggle common/uncommon ones and/or pink/event.

+1, maybe the setting is off by default at first and have to turn it on (i know this is mentioned but i feel having it start off as being turned off would be better). Otherwise, i don't really see an issue, maybe you could also have a setting to not see these messages, if there is a reason they wouldnt want to see it in chat.
