Hello, this is just a thought that I've been thinking about for a long time. It hasn't been discussed with the spawn editor and is not set in stone yet. Currently there is no difference between silver and the gold server, and I would like to change that slightly. Of course, the server transfer remains free every 30 days! I would like to have a time difference on both servers by 12 hours. So that, for example, it is 12 AM on silver while it's 12 PM on gold. Furthermore, I would like to follow the handhelds and add individual spawns only available on one of the two servers. So you can only catch Minun on silver and Plusle on gold. Through the server transfer and trades it would still be possible to catch all the Pokemon. What do you think about this? I am sure there are users that absolutely don't like the idea but please follow our forum rules and give reasons.13 points

Needing to transfer for server-exclusive stuff is very bad for one simple reason: Guilds. Playing with your guild and friends is a very big aspect in PRO for a lot of players. Sharing your experiences, talking about the game, grinding together to seccure guild ladder, collecting mysterious tickets to unlock guild island, hunting together, doing quests together and so much more. Different content on both servers will split apart guilds immensely. Not only old/big guilds would suffer from it but new players who try to find a guild will have a bad experience as well. The cooldown of 30 days is simply too long to make this work without a too big negative impact. I personally dont see the adventages of that suggestion, so it would be nice to hear some of the adventages you thought of with bringing differences to both servers. A workaround I could see working is making a server-transfer work twice instead of once per use. That way people could transfer to the other server to catch some exclusive pokemon, do a server-exclusive quest or whatever there may be and transfer back to their original server/guild, without having to wait 30 days. That would also improve cross-server trading and the interaction between both servers in general.7 points

I don't like the idea of server exclusives at all. The reason why Version exclusives exist is that Gamefreak wanted to encourage players to trade between each other, or just plain make players buy both versions. There are other things they implemented to encourage trading, such as starters, choice Pokemons (like Fossils) and trade-evolution Pokemons. And because breeding exists, you just need to get any single Pokemon of the specie to get started on creating your perfect Pokemon if you need to. However, here, this is a completely different situation. Trading is already a common activity between players, although in a different shape than in the original games. We still got trade evolutions, but we also got commerce type of trades, such as daycaring, selling and lending. Sure, server exclusives encourages another type of trading... But it comes with a huge bad point. If you want to trade server exclusives, someone HAS to do a server transfer. A server transfer means that you quit the current guild you're in, and enter a community for which you may not know anyone. Some players are totally fine with this, but for players who really don't want to leave their guild, even temporarily... Their only option is to wait for someone to show up and sell the Pokemon they need, with the very stats that you want since we have no breeding or alternative feature. And because they're exclusive, chances are they'll purposedly set a higher price, making it not worth it to buy. As a player, this is NOT a situation I want to be in. It's just frustration. As for the other possible reason of version exclusives, being making more money... Well, as far as I know, we still have a good enough income to pay for the servers, no? We have plenty of things to sell in the cash shop, many players buy coin capsules to resell them ingame for money, it's looking pretty healthy to me. And besides, if that's the only reason, you're just going to make the playerbase more angry and distrustful than it already is. There's other consequences to this feature, which is unrelated to reasons why you'd want this in... If we implement server exclusives, it will become more complicated to do new modifications to our server. Server merges means we have to get rid of the feature at the same time. Adding a new server means we need to split more exclusives. And finally, it makes the server choice more annoying for the players as well. Will the exclusives be displayed before you even select a server? If they're shown, it's kinda too much information when you're just starting out (and could also scare players away because they don't like that feature). If they're not shown, you're making an uninformed choice and may regret your choice of server. And regardless of these, if you're joining a group of friend, but they're on a server where your version exclusive does not spawn... That already takes a big hit at your motivation to even start the game. So please, don't implement this. There's too many bad consequences, and its only purposes are already fulfilled by other features. As for time differences... I don't really mind, server times are already completely out of sync with real time, and it doesn't change availability... Although it could encourage players to create alts for hunting in succession in both servers. Since we want to discourage alts, I don't think that would be a good feature. That said, if you do implement it, just make sure that you don't break time-based quests in doing so.6 points

alright, first, thx for sharing the idea with the community Warning : the following will be from a prespective of a "casul" player that don't have time and/or don't want to play on more than 1 account/character... I don't like the idea of exclusive pokemon on each server (but other change could be great). why? because the switch between server would be MANDATORY to progress in the game... (we need to complet region X dex to catch X legendary, we need Y evo data to unlock Z area, etc...) Right now, why do ppl choose or stick to a server? because of the Community, of their guild, to play with their friend... you know, the MMO part of the game. but with this change, the game itself will tell us : "hey! want to progress? leave all your friends and guildies behind for one month! it's fun right?" and we will end up in those kind of situation : 1) "oh one of your friend/guildmate need help with something? you could easly help them by training their pokemon a bit or giving them one of the pokemon they are missing? what a shame you need that one pokemon to start a quest and won't be back before 20 days... are you having fun yet?" 2) "oh your guild is doing an in game event? too bad that 20% of your actives players are currently in the other server to hunt... let make a showdown event instead!" 3) "i really want to go catch that pokemon on the other server... oh wait... i can't... because X is trainning some of my pokemon (or you are taking care of them for X )... i guess i have to wait now..." "But, you don't have to transfert... you could simply buy them." 1) For some ppl, completting the Dex by yourself is the fun of the game, hunting and training your own pokemon is important to them 2) oh yes, and who would sell those pokemon? probably not those with 4 (8) accounts that can transfert 1 account every week for free right? less than 1 month ago, someone said "We know that four (more like eight) accounts are a problem for the economy." i wonder who will take advantage to that situation... Also, one important thing to keep in mind : who will this change hurt? who will profit from it? the new player? or the already active/old one? and who is more likely to comment here? In the end, having difference between the 2 servers could be a good idea, as long as the transfers between server are not mandatory and that those change add some fun to the game without hurting the community/MMO part of the game... (maybe different rotation in PVP/PVE coin shop? ) Thx again to Walross (and the rest of the team) for sharing this idea4 points

I'm not a fan of the idea, it won't make anything unique, it will just result in players being forced to switch between servers. It will also cause more players to create second accounts to switch servers with them and I thought PRO is trying to do something against even more multi-accounts. And you can only see from the comments here what players expect, their own quests for the server. But that will just mean double the work for the staff. So we will need longer to wait to get new content and I don't see any pluses in it. Starting the whole thing with server exclusivity, I would rather not recommend it. Personally, I don't want to switch servers so I would be deprived of spawns. As a collector, that would be another slap in the face for me.4 points

If you want reasons and arguments against it, why dont you give some in favor it? Because I dont really see some. I cant think of a reason to make this time change at all. It would have like none impact on anything. Therefore I also wouldnt mind that tbh. But still: ?!?! What made different Pokemon on different handheld versions cool, is that you can trade with ppl who also play the game. We already have that tho - even on a whole different level beeing an mmo. Besides that, noone really cares much about Minum and Plusle too. It makes collecting unnessesary complicated imo. Because its no extra fun to make a server transfer, trade or hunt all mons, and transfer back. Maybe it would be cool to have different stuff on servers, but that what you suggested is weird and doest make the game more fun imo. Splitting up legends is also a bad idea because beeing able to have all legends is cooler than just beeing able to have half of them - because some bring that up.4 points

Hello boys and girls. I apologise in advance if there is redundancy with people's ideas. As for the subject, -1, I totally disagree adding any other form of exclusivity in both servers, why ? The main issue will be server transfers for anything "exclusive" if you want to get everything in the game. I'll explain in detail with different parts below and expose my point of view, you don't have to agree : 1. PvE side : Quests : Having to transfer to get f.e a legendary or whatever will be a pain. Doesn't it sound awful to leave your main server for a legendary that will probably be banned ? And to wait 1 month to transfer back if you don't want to use 1 CC ? For me it is. Collection : Collectors. Imagine this, for any collector, a pokemon becomes exclusive in the other server they're not fully in. At the moment, It wouldn't be a problem for rich people as they usually cut in half their income to compensate it ( only them can afford it). However, when the mono account will be a thing (if this will result in only 1 character per server) : - You won't be as flexible as before. - Less opportunities to react to an auction on forums. - You would have to rely on friends to transfer money and goodies if you run out on a server. - Less and less interactions between servers. 2. Pokedex. Another issue here, you know, some legendary quests require the whole pokedex data entries of a region (Mew for Kanto / Celebi for Johto / Jirachi for Hoenn / Latios or Latias => need 300 evo + Jirachi). What will happen if a pokemon of those regions becomes exclusive ? I can't conceive it. Spawns. The most delicate part ! Since spawns are the heart of the game, making different pokemon spawning in both servers will only result in conflicts and chaos. I think I've enough explained above the consequences if spawns are divided into both servers. But it's not over yet ! We're arriving at the problem with Guilds, which is imo the 2nd biggest issue, oh boy I'm already scared ! Guilds. Guildmates leaving because they want to hunt a certain pokemon on the other server, isn't is scary ? This is what I was talking about above with the 2nd biggest issue. Plus, The frictions that the spawn changes will create is not to be underestimated. Guilds in mmo are their backbone. The game experience is so different in a competitive guild or a newbie friendly one ! You musn't give people enough reasons to go on the opposite server of their guild ! Speaking of reasons, about the Outbreaks and World Quests : Already existing "exclusivity" : Oubreaks. Occasionaly, there is a quite rare poke to hunt for a certain period of time with -1 tier to its highest spawn rate (4h or more if specified). Fortunately, I've seen close to 0 people transferring in my guild for such a little opportunity. But still, some may do it. You get my point, it's a reason given for some to transfer, but not this impactful. 2. World Quests. Sometimes, the pokemon needed to fulfill it is an annoyance, you cannot imagine. On the other hand, if you really want the ticket, you have to do it. But what if you transfer and go to the server where this is easier ? "Oh no Kangaskhan, the x server has Gligar ( previously T6 Repel), i'm gonna transfer !" Another reason given to transfer. Moreover, it will affect the pvp too. We're coming close to the end ! 2. PvP side : Guilds. Have you ever heard of Guild Island, aka Broken Island ? If yes, you know how good it is to be at least top 3 to have access to it. The competition is fierce to achieve top 3. Remember the exclusivities above ? Spawns / Collections etc... It takes a certain time to reach a decent amount of rating for your guild, more if you wanna hit ladder. So usually, you'll favour having done your part of rating first. But what if there is a better hunting opportunity at the beginning of the month, whether a better World Quest or Outbreak or anything new and you really want to go there ? Such a dilemma, 1CC to go hunt there and coming back for the guild asap to do rating or letting it go ? Conclusion : Adding exclusivities of spawns or whatever would damage the game instead of improving it. Nintendo is doing it with spawns since the beginning and I find it outrageous to have to buy 2 versions or more of each Gen to catch' em all. Even if trading is possible, it doesn't justify everything imo. I clearly don't wish to see this on PRO. I can't think of something else, maybe I went a bit off-topic for some parts and I apologise if this is the case. Peace. Fafouney2 points

I agree with what Bash said, it would just make the game feel a bit more tedious than it needs to be. If you really want a certain uniqueness from each server, others' suggestions here of doing server specific events or event pokemon designs exclusive to only one server would be a good start. See how players react to that then go from there if you want to expand the idea. You can have certain mounts or accessories or costumes "native" to the server like a gold and silver uniform or something..2 points
-
I think that may be possible. It would be double ammount of work tho, and even then - why not having both server having all quests? Then everyone can have the full fun experience.2 points
-
Hard -1 for different spawns. Availability of all the pokemon without the hassle of switching servers every month is a big boon to this game. I always hated the exclusive spawns in the handheld games as well, it was a dumb cash grab concept that has no place in a fan-made MMO. That said, the idea of having an exclusive legendary based on the server as some other user suggested would be fine and a time difference would be ok as well. Gold and Silver are already different when outbreaks and WQs happen. Doesn't need to be forced more.2 points
-
Hello! I'm totally fine with this, even more, why not make an exclusive Quest on each server (Don't know if it's possible), on Silver, you will be able to catch Lugia, on gold, you will be able to catch Ho-oh. This would be crazy but i don't know if it's do able.2 points

i like the time diffrence idea, but a MUST to have accounts on both servers to get all pokemons is a super bad idea, i like my ONE account and im not really interested in server change and leave my guild at all. as a feedback1 point

oh god do you have any idea how long it take to make a new region ? and you want to double it? that's a REALLY bad idea1 point

Well, I simply disagree. Maybe having this time gap of 12 hours between servers would be nice just for the sake of fancy, but any other features regarding exclusiveness I'm pretty feeling it'd create more problems than actually improve the game overall. And considering the problems bias in this opinion, this is where I think devs efforts could be better focused in providing the game with more MMO features to make it a bit more like "real life" in pokemon world. I mean, IMO it's the best Poke MMO around by far but still at some point everything narrows down to PVP and Poke hunting (i won't even metion PVE here cause in a sense it's a bridge for PVP afterall anyways), and these kinds of game should have more features for players having a good time with their friends and feel that world is more than just battles and completing poke dex (that's what the original offline games are!). So basically, just quoting an example right away about that, till the present time we still don't have Hoenn Poke Blocks Contest, this is really a cool thing people could be enjoying altogether ingame, rather then just logging for grinding for battles. And I can't even supose the reason why there's no focus on implementing that. More contests could be included ingame like Fishing maybe (more ideas could be added here), instead of have it only promoted by community members. Everyone comes to play for beating story mode and getting the best pokemons they want, but the thing is at some point people still wanna play but do different things. And these "different things" that I still feel PRO heavily lacks. It not only needs to be different but enable people to enjoy together. That's the big deal of a massive multiplayer game online, specially in one involving Pokemon world.1 point

I disagree, this will affect on PvP and market as well as waste CS and spawn editor time working only.1 point

I am personally against the idea of having pokemon specific to the server. Trading across the 2 different servers seems like a hassle and would be a nightmare for the more casual players. The 24 hour time difference would be nice but other than that, i am againsts all other suggestions.1 point

Make sense to have a difference between gold and silver. The 12 hours difference sounds fun enough as answer to newbie who asking which server better, atleast he can choose he likes sun or moon more. Different spawn will force players to doing transfer back to back just for having the spawn spot. Maybe not a big deal for some player, but for some player that already enjoyin or comfortable in current server mostly because community then forced to transfer server i guess it will decreasing his fun alot. its like you have to farm in enemy area if you need mineral. also in newbie side, it can make them feels joining wrong server when they forced to pay extra cash just for dex/evo entry. maybe they have to pay very 'good money' if he meet some 'good player' just for having not spawned pokemon in the server1 point

Ah, full PC. Well, that's why we have that PC warning icon on top left near your team....... But I guess it's a fine idea adding a special PC in Dark Realm just for that purpose. Or, have the Prof. Sweetz NPC hold on to that starter, and once the player defeated Darkrai and gets teleported outside the castle, the player can see Prof. Sweetz inside the castle on the first floor waiting to give the clone starter.1 point

Hello! Darumaka's "IVs" are excellent, although the preferred ability is the hidden one but since we don't have "Zen Mode" enabled in the game, then it'll do. His price should be between 1-3m, if auctioned it should easily reach higher values.1 point

Developers to-do list: //This list is ordered alphabetically. It's just what we have on our to-do list. Auction House //An auction house that'll be usable in-game and on the Dashboard. Battle animation adjustments //That mainly affects the catch animation and a few small adjustments. Battle log //Some plans but probably not easy with ngui. Box rework //A general box rework to add more filters, split the boxes, add mass delete and so on. Double battles //Battle together with your friends and against your enemies within and outside the story! Dungeon á la Mystery Dungeons //Player will have to climb maps as a Pokemon. Repetitive content with a chance of different rewards at the top. Dynamic window layering //There are so many window layering problems recently that I rather add dynamic window layering a la Windows. Event icons rework //The current icon code is really, really bad and needs a rework so we can easily add more information/icons. EXP rework //Our EXP formular is wrong and uses the wrong value for the exp group. This might need a complete spawn and trainer level rework for the story. EXP share //EXP share à la gen2 where the Pokemon that held the item always got its EXP share. Fishing Rework //We plan to make it a mini-game similar to how fishing works in Minecraft. Fixing all incorrectly coded moves and abilities //https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/233061-list-of-broken-moves-abilities-items-in-pro/ Forum change //Xenforo is everything but not user-friendly nor easy to work with and we need to get rid of unique emails. Higher PvP rating at season start //Would like to start the season with a higher rating so you can actually lose something. Illusion //Hard to do cause you need to send different pokes to each user which requires a rework of the code at 180 different places. In-game layer rework //The character and map layer client code is a mess but that's a mammoth project. Ladders in client UI //Show all kind of ladders in the client UI. That includes OU Ranked, Random Ranked and Total Playtime. Lending Trade //Probably needs another rework from scratch. Mail adjustments //Check whether an item is mailable or not when putting it in the mail and not after trying to send it and a mail confirmation to avoid sending it to the wrong user. Make flying mounts/followers keep flying while standing still //Upgrade of the animation capability for the character sprites. Possibly new animation options. Mod tools updates //Mainly for GMs, a few fixes and small feature requests. Nuzlocke Server //A just for fun server with Nuzlocke features. Data cannot be transferred to live servers. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Nuzlocke_Challenge PRO Editor updates //Many, many updates for the PRO Editor as well as a map server rework from scratch which is already done. The editor is currently in a not working state. PvP elo system //Easy to say, hard to do. PvP encounter rating limit //An option to not encounter users with more than 100 PvP rating less than you. PvP battle replay //Save, play, review and share your battles. PvP battle spectate //Option to allow others to spectate your battles, possibly with a delay. Random Battles and ladder //Not much to say about. Reconnect //That's not only for PvP but in general so users that disconnect unplanned reconnect without even realizing it in the background. Very complex problems. Rework multi-hits //In handhelds every multi-hit has its own damage calculation, crit chance and so on. Required for Parental Bond. Rework winning order //Right now, moves like Destiny Bond and recoil let the wrong user win if both die the same turn. Server merge //Merge gold and silver together and increase the box limit from 1000 to 2000. Show Pokemon and whether they are dead or alive in PvP battles //Initially planned to replace the Pokeballs with the Pokemon sprite but the Pokemon sprites are too big, and resizing them makes it impossible to identify the Pokemon. Android cannot see anything so they were added elsewhere. Slider to change how many users you can see on the same map //To unburden old hardware without the need to use foreveralone. Options to see friends- and/or guildies-only as well. Terrains //Terrain moves, the needed abilities and Terrain Extender for Tapus. Player/Social window rework //Similar rework as PvP window but for the social tab. We could possibly add following features: Boss Cooldowns Page: NPC sprite, name, location, current win-streak, cooldown timer, weekly boss limit counter, friendlist: status message, last online, guild: last online, user rating, Input field with an invite button, guild creating in social/player window, /foreveralone check box, time ladder, PMs enabled for everyone/friends option instead of using the online status as indicator. Team Builder //Create teams with your Pokemon and replace your whole team with a single click instead of looking for every Pokemon in your box. Transform and Imposter //Ditto needs some love. Two-factor authentication //With 2FA, you need to use two things to prove it's really you before you can log into your account. For example, you might need to enter your password (that's one factor) and then type in a special code that's sent to your phone (that's the second factor). By using 2FA, it's harder for someone else to get into your account because they would need to have both your password and access to your phone. Username borders //Didn't think about it any further. Visual for active stat changes //Not sure how to do that yet, might be a space-related problem. Visual for environment moves //Probably just a new background as long as the rooms are active, Artists where are you? Z-Moves //Boom, baam, damage, yknow.. ▣ High priority ▣ Normal priority ▣ Low priority ▣ Completed Please do not suggest any of the features/planned changes above as they are already on our to-do list!1 point
