  1. Hello everyone. This Megathread will serve 2 purposes. First of all as many of you may have noticed the old animated lava tiles may not appear correctly in the client or, when they do appear, they are a real strain to the eyes. That's why the artist team has created a new more eye-friendly tiles to replace them. Old Lava Tiles New Lava Tiles The second purpose of this thread is to find all hunting spots where hunting pokemon is very hard or stressful due to the small size of the grass/water spot or the small number of spots. Small Hunting Spot We would like you to report here all these cases of lava and hunting spots so they can be properly handled. Please use this format: Map Name Type of issue (Old/Invisible Lava Tiles or Hunting Spot Issues) Screenshot of the issue if possible. Please keep this thread only related to its purpose. Any irrelevant comments and replies will be removed. Thank you on behalf of the mapper team.

  3. Look guys. I know what you're all saying. The boss is unique etc etc. All i'm saying is, let it stay unique but reduce the number of days to re-challenge it. Waiting 21 days to battle a boss is ridiculous just based on the fact that a disconnection can happen at any moment and the staff has not placed a measure wherein you can re-battle if a disconnection takes place, so let's be reasonable about this. If i lose, i lose. Nikola boss won't lose its unique factor because its still a super boss and difficult to deal with. Reducing the 21 days to re-challenge the boss won't affect it. I don't mind the -1 or disagreements but the league of legends server could disconnect you while you have a stable internet connection, and what would your argument be then? It would then be better to implement something that gives you two chances to battle Nikola every 21 days which makes more sense to me.

  5. As many of you may have already seen my previous suggestion about the Pokemon Center revamp in other regions, it was denied with an explanation by Aspheric, or Sax as some may know him by. In his explanation, as i quote, he said this: "Vermilion is the most populated PC all year round no matter the theme as it is the most convenient to reach the most services". And that is very true, from vermillion harbor you can access the Sevii islands, Pinkan island, Guild island, and Tutor Haven. This time round, my suggestion is not change the pokemon centers, rather the towns they're located in. Adding these travelers to the other three port cities would then mean that players don't need to travel back to vermillion for all of their needs. With this change, it would mean that for example, players doing excavations in hoenn don't need to go back to vermillion to then be able to go to pinkan island, or guild island, and can easily travel there from lilycove, rather than having to pay extra to travel back and forth. Open to other opinions and questions about it.

  7. Since the most recent change just a few days ago (hours, even), the quest to access Sinnoh has been completely replaced. If you were in the middle of the quest, about to start it or had beaten Hannah but not talked to her and teleported to Sinnoh, you'll have to start the new one from scratch. Good luck, trainer! VERY BIG WARNING: ONCE YOU ENTER ROUTE 101 TO FIGHT THE GRUNTS, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO BACK TO LITTLEROOT TOWN. IF THE NPCS DISAPPEAR AND YOU CANNOT PROGRESS, POST HERE: https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/871-url . THERE SEEMS TO BE A BUG WHERE, IF YOU GO BACK TO THE TOWN AND THEN REENTER ROUTE 101, THE GRUNTS COMPLETELY DISAPPEAR AND YOU CANNOT CONTINUE THE QUEST UNTIL YOU ARE HELPED BY PRO STAFF. WELCOME TO THE SINNOH ACCESS QUEST GUIDE! The quest will start once you speak to the NPC Paul in Lilycove City (Hoenn). You need to have 6 pokemon in your team that are at the very least level 80 or above. This can be acheived by training them in Mount Silver or in Cerulean Cave as the NPC says. However, getting access to Cerulean Cave is painful, so we can also borrow a friend's team. The pokemon do not have to be ours to be valid for the quest, so we can borrow 6 pokemon at level 80 from a friend or train them ourselves. He will then teleport us back to Littleroot Town. Once you exit your house, you'll find unwanted visitors: Team Galaxy Grunts! The villagers need help! You will then approach Stan, who stares at you, menacingly (yes, this is a Jojo's reference). He will fight you with strong pokemon. He has a level 70 Exploud, Hariyama, Crobat and Purugly. They will then Teleport and escape. Go north to route 101. More grunts will appear. The next one has a level 70 Mightyena, Dustox, Masquerain and Luxray. Grunt Bernie is next. He has a level 70 Mawile, Aggron, Electrode and Skuntank. Grunt Jack comes afterwards. this will take long... He has a level 70 Cacturne, Altaria, Whiscash and Bronzong. Grunt Mario has a level 70 Whiscash, Claydol, Banette, and Drapion. There's still more! Grunt Karina has a level 70 Medicham, Dusclops, Glalie and Toxicroak. The last Grunt, Vincent, has a level 70 Absol, Tropius, Flygon and Weavile. You will then reach Oldale Town. Heal up and try to go to Route 102. Stan will block the way and fight you with his level 100 Alakazam. When he's defeated, he will teleport you to Route 103. You'll see Mars, Saturn, Pluton and Birch. However, you'll hear a mysterious voice: Maxie and Archie will take care of two of them, while you'll fight Pluton. He is a tough one. Pluton has a level 100 Slowking who will spam Scald, a Rotom-Wash, a Porygon-Z, a Blaziken, a Sceptile and Swampert (the pokemon they forced to evolve, it seems). Since many people asked for help on this step, I will give you an example strategy of how you can beat this boss easily: 1.- Geodude with Sturdy + Stealth Rock (or any evolution, you can capture one in Mt Silver with the moveset ready as Graveler) 2.- Electrode with Eerie Impulse (you can get one at a high level already in Cerulean Cave) 3.- 1 Pokemon with a good setup move. Examples: Gyarados with Dragon Dance, Clefable with Cosmic Power, Slowbro with Calm Mind and Iron Defense, etc. For this boss, I recommend you either unlock the Mega Slowbro Stone or you use a Clefable, easy to farm and use. You begin by using Stealth Rock with Graveler and letting it faint. Then you Eerie Impulse multiple times against the Slowking and faint your Electrode. After this, switch in your pokemon with a setup move equipped with leftovers, set up until your stats are maxed and you will be able to sweep. Example: Clefable - Cosmic Power, Toxic, Softboiled, Moonblast Gyarados - Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Waterfall, Ice Fang Slowbro - Iron Defense, Calm Mind, Slack Off, Surf However, they will escape after you defeat him. You will talk to Birch and he'll actually tell you that the three Hoenn starters are lost in Route 101 and 102. Mudkip can be found just below Birch in the Route 103. You need Surf to pick him up here. Torchic will be hiding in the spot in front of me in Route 101. Interact with it to rescue the lost pokémon. Treecko will be hidden in front of me in this spot in Route 102. Interact with it as you did before. Once you have picked up the three Pokemon, talk with Birch. He will tell you to go and talk to Alakazam. He can be found in the Docks in Lilycove City (same place you can go and get the boat to go back to Vermillion and Olivine. Congratulations, you've now completed the new Sinnoh Quest! VERY BIG WARNING: ONCE YOU ENTER SINNOH, THERE IS NO GOING BACK. YOU MUST DEFEAT THE ELITE FOUR IF YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUS REGIONS. Special thanks to: @WhiteBaron (mr corsi handsome french boy) for helping me out and fixing the variables that bugged while I was doing the quest. @Donuts02 for lending me his level 100s so I could rush Hoenn to do a guide of the quest for forums. @jimmicha for rushing my account story in Silver so I could do more guides for forums.

  12. @Bhimoso: Yeah, on second thought, probably not guaranteed shiny XD I also added a bit about changing the level of the wild Pokemon - you can't really expect a new player with 5 hours playtime to tackle a lv80 spawn. Lv30 would make more sense for them. Otherwise it would circle back to the "no reward" issue for them. Even a non-legend holding valuable item is not good if they can't have a reasonable chance to catch the Pokemon.
    1 point
  13. +1 But if I might add, another good change someone else mentioned in another thread, would be to add valuable item as hold item to the non-legendaries found in the island. Things like Master Ball or Reroll Ticket, I feel those would be a great incentive, especially for players who already have all the legendaries. Or, make them guaranteed Shiny, at least. I believe one of the main reasons why people are discouraged from doing WQ, is those non-legendaries. Nobody wants a bad lv80 Tyranitar for example, it's hard to level up and no one will buy a Tyranitar with terrible stats. You'll just ends up trashing it. It's essentially the same thing as having no reward at all, after all those effort in getting the minimum quota for the ticket. So something has to be done to make them an actual consolation prize. As it is right now, they're not even a consolation prize, they're just trash. A player with 5 hours play time wouldn't have a legend from WQ anyway, because he/she need to already finish the respective legend's quest first. The incentive to do WQ will have to be something else, like a shiny or a really good item to sell for pokedollar for example. New players would love having more pokedollars, and all they have to do is catch a few of certain Pokemon. Although, the level of the wild Pokemon to catch probably also should be altered to lv30 maybe. Something the new players can take on without the level being too low or too high for them. Tier 9 non-repelable spawn is not an outbreak, it's hell nobody wants to touch. Outbreaks should be tier 7 at the highest in my opinion, otherwise it can't be called an outbreak anymore.

  16. Hello , I would like to suggest to give us a chance to reconnect when we disconnect in a battle / pvp like in showdown . We get disconnects mainly due to network problems and server crash . We sometimes disconnects willingly to forfeit but this wont be required because we will get surrender option on the next update. Reconnection helps us alot because we loose so much rating due to disconnects. And also this may help in wild pokemon hunting so when we got a rare pokemon and if the server crash we could catch it back after the server is back. Thanks for reading, Have a great day.

  22. My ideia is to create a PvE system around the gyms/elite4. Every month you get the chance to challenge all the gym leaders and elite 4 earning points for each victory (1 for each gym, 5 for elite four). In the end of the month players are ranked and get rewards. Guilds could compete againt each other in the same way PvP works. All gyms have level 100 pokes with correct nature/ability/evs/item. The key to my ideia is giving random rules to follow in each gym that changes with time. Rules that alter the way you should build your team (i don't like to give examples as i think people here get to obsessed with examples and forget about the general concept but its needed here...): -No batom pass -All pokes must be grass type -Ability Prankster not allowed -Defensive natures not allowed And rules that alter the battle like: -Rain always active -Every turn all pokes are hit by earthquake -Leftovers equiped on opponent team (plus their normal item) -All opponent pokemons have sturdy (plus their normal ability) (again, these are just examples, needs to be adjusted) Having random rules will make this system more interesting than bosses (seriously, bosses are f****** boring) and could make a competitive system for PvE players since there's no guarantee to win, sometimes you sweep the entire gym, sometimes you can't pass first poke, but a good player should be able to win more. This will help with game economy also since players will need to be getting new pokes to fight new rules, pretty much like we need to get pokes for PvP as the meta changes instead of getting 6-10 pokes to form a boss team. Here's how i think the system should work -You can fight 2 gym leaders every day, if you lose to both you can fight a third one to get rewards but no points/badge. -You can challenge elite 4 once every day and only after getting all 8 badges of it respective continent. -Every 6 hours the rules to build your team change (this allows you to borrow pokes from your guild/friends), each gym has a different ruleset for team building, this allow guilds to discover the better gyms and focus their members there. -Every hour the battle rules changes and every gym has its own set of rules making it impossible to 100% predict and raid a gym. -In the gym you fight 3 members and then the gym leader, you can't use item in battles but can use after, leave the gym and you lose (this makes people sink money in potions). -The rules are draw from a pool at random, the staff can control which rules will be in the pool and the chance of it being draw (then they can show us the rules and probability of each a month before so people can hunt/trade for pokemons to counter it) -Pokemons are also draw from a pool at random but respecting their gym type. I believe this system can create an interesting PvE content that also allow competition (the game needs PvE guilds) and respect the game lore. I also believe this system is a huge work for staff but once its implemented they just need to change the pools (both poke and rules) to refresh things. But this work pays off as it creates a end-game content that is always changing and giving players reasons to play. I also don't know if its technically possible. (english is not my first language, so forgive my mistakes)

  23. +1 to the first +1 to the second -1 to the last, Depending on the timezone someone logs wil be impossible to get a ticket, the WQ is at random time i think(?), leaving most ppl paying for their timezones. Also i dislike the idea of anothing thing in Kanto, ffs everything is in Kanto, make it at johto at least, I would hate to have a guy with 5 hours into game doing WQ to get something end game.

    1 point
  37. There is a lot of thought that has to go into a good suggestion. There are several things to consider, but here are a few things that you should check to see if your suggestion may be considered for implementing. Is my suggestion feasible? This is possibly the most important question to ask yourself. Think about whether your suggestion is possible, is it a good idea or should I rethink it slightly? For a suggestion to really be considered, it must be possible to do despite our technical restraints. You need to make sure that your suggestion is practical. You should also consider timescales. Would it take the developers a long time, or could it be a quick and easy job? How does my suggestion benefit the community? This is where you ask yourself if your suggestion would this be impactful to PRO. Would your suggestion affect the majority of the community or just a small portion? Think about how it would affect everyone. Remember that this game is for everyone and therefore your suggestion must not only benefit yourself. You could specify whether it would be a small quality of life update, or if it is absolutely mandatory that your suggestion happens. Strengths and Weaknesses Every suggestion has a good and bad side to it, therefore it's good to acknowledge the different consequences that your suggestion may come with. It's also good to evaluate the positive aspects to see if the negatives are worth it, or to further explain why your suggestion should be implemented. Your idea might sound good or interesting at the beginning, but there could be a lot of negative aspects outweighing the positives. Suggestions listed in this section have already been denied in the past and are non-negotiable. Any topic created that suggests or is similar to something listed below will be instantly locked. Alternative Payment Alternate payment methods have been suggested in the past several times before. We understand that it may be inconvenient to donate via Paypal in certain countries, but this will ultimately depend on our developer's discretion since there are limitations on his ability to accept donations from other payment methods. Nevertheless, we apologize for any inconveniences. Breeding Breeding has been removed as a way of converting a predominantly single player game into an MMO. PRO has chosen to go for a more social, imperfect pokemon approach. Breeding unfortunately would make everyone self-sufficient, walking around with eggs and have no need to rely on other people. The current hunting system prioritizes hunting and selling. Breeding would also ruin the rarity system and economy. In the case of rare pokemon, like Dratini, if everyone has the ability to breed, they would be worth less than 10k within days and no one would be farming, defeating the purpose of the MMO. Changing Nicknames of Pokemon This is hard to manage, as it's easy to abuse a nickname system and submit inappropriate nicknames. Furthermore, nicknaming would add extra data per Pokemon - this might not sound like a lot, but it all adds up very quickly to overstrain the database unnecessarily. This suggestion has been and will continue to be denied. Community Muting System or Reputation System This is easy to exploit and therefore will be denied. Reputation Systems are also usually vulnerable to many types of attacks. Encounter Rate We will not give any percentage of encounter rate of pokemon. Players will need to find by themselves. Experience and Money-Making Items/Moves This includes the Exp. Share, Lucky Egg, Amulet Coin, Pay Day and anything of the like. These things won't be implemented as they may ruin the economy and ultimately make items easier to acquire, which goes against PRO's goal of being an MMO. Additionally, Membership is also a reason why it's not added. Free Switches in Battle The game is deliberately made to be played on 'Set' mode, meaning you will have to switch Pokemon manually. This also means that you're not able to freely switch when an enemy pokemon faints. This has been implemented to increase the difficulty and challenge of the game. iOS or Windows Phone Client for PRO Unless Apple opens up their OS development to 3rd party applications, this will not be possible to implement. Furthermore, iOS doesn't have enough resources to let PRO work on it. As for Windows Phones, we would require a suitable device to test on. Not only that, but this would push back update releases, which are far more important. Finally, the amount of people who would use it would be too few to outweigh the added resources needed to implement this. Making All Legendary Pokemon Obtainable or Tradeable PRO allows players to catch certain legendary Pokemon with 600 base stat totals or below. Any legendary Pokemon with higher base stat totals are not obtainable. Legendaries are considered rare rewards that players can only obtain after completing long quest-lines or as large event rewards, both needing investment of enough time and effort to achieve. Additionally, legendaries will always be untradeable. This allows them to be in-game without ruining the game's economy. Making Headbutt or Dig Spawns Visible on the Map This is implausible due to technical limitations. Headbutt trees are coded differently, which makes it very difficult to implement a spawn list. We would need to manually write out a huge amount of lines. For every single change, we would need to change and manually rewrite that list again and again. Dig would have the same issues as Headbutt. This is time-consuming work with little payoff while there are many other high-priority items for staff to take care of. Several members of the community have already compiled lists of Headbutt/Dig spawns per route in the Game Guides section, so you can refer to that instead. Reducing Boss Battle Cooldowns If you lost to the boss NPC, that means that you need to prepare properly the next time you face them. Bosses are meant to be challenging, after all. If you crashed during your boss battle, we unfortunately can't provide further assistance for crash issues, since PRO is in beta and bugs/crashes are expected to happen during the development process. Running Shoes You already walk at 1.5x times the regular speed from the Handhelds. That is only .5 slower than the running shoes. If you want to go faster, you are free get a bike by obtaining a Ditto and turning it in for a bike voucher in Vermilion, which allows you to purchase a bike from the Cerulean bike store for 60k. You can also get a mount by buying onne from the Coin Shop or completing the Arcanine Mount Quest. Using NPCs to Trade Evolve Trade-evolving is a good reason to meet with other people, make friends, and join a guild. It also adds to the MMO dimension. If you're concerned about being scammed by the other user, make sure to take a screenshot of the trade-evolution agreement and trade window. Report the user in the Report Center if they do steal your Pokemon. If you don't feel you can trust any other users, you can find a staff member and ask them to help you with your trade-evolution instead. You can also make a post on the Evolution and Deleveling Megathread. Suggestions that fall under the following categories have a chance to be implemented into the game. However, there is no guarantee that they will be implemented due to different technological and time constraints. Nevertheless, you are free to express your opinions, but please remember that they may be denied. Adding and Translating Other Languages In-Game PRO's main storyline will be kept English as the widely accepted "official" language in the game, even by bilingual players. Only minor things (menus, options, etc) will be translated. However, there is no estimated time frame for this, and it's considered very low-priority. Balancing Bosses or Revaluing Boss Rewards You are free to suggest things to be changed or added to a certain boss if you feel that it would be appropriate for said boss, but keep in mind that Pokemon consists of four basic elements: Hunting, Training, Trading, and Battling. The boss battles were created to provide additional, renewable content for players who have already completed their story. They were not created as a means to provide easy, consistent shortcuts to avoid the four basic elements of the game. The cooldown is to ensure that some things don't enter the game quickly, namely some of the more valuable rewards. New Move Tutor or TM If there is a Move Tutor or TM you'd like to see in-game that isn't already, you're free to suggest it. Just keep in mind that some moves are not coded yet, therefore have little reason to have a move tutor for; regarding moves, abilities, evolutions, and so on being coded, we have no ETA as to when they will be added. For specifics on what isn't coded yet or is not coded as intended, please look at the List of Broken Moves and Abilities in PRO. Please keep an eye on the Downloads & Update Logs as well as the In-game Update Logs when they will be. For all of these, you'll need to be patient and wait. Remember that our staff team is constantly working to improve the game: Artists are creating new animations and sprites. Scripters are writing and implementing scripts, and Shane is always working on coding new features and improvements into the client. We need time to fix and update everything, so please be patient. Spawn Suggestions We would like to ensure the best experience for you here at PRO. Therefore, we will be taking your Spawn Suggestions in the Pokemon Spawns Thread. Please take note that your suggestion may not be fully implemented, but we'd simply like to hear from you so we can improve your quality of life. The suggestions listed below are already planned or are currently in-process, so there is no actual need to suggest the idea itself, but if you have specific details that are worth mentioning, feel free to expand upon it. Account resets, Name changes, and Transferring data between servers We plan to give qualifying players the opportunity to reset their accounts, change their usernames, and transfer data between servers very soon, as the implementation for all of that is already done, we just need to solidify a few things internally as PRO Staff before releasing a request megathread. Auction House or Marketplace We plan to release an auction house with our upcoming website, but we're still ironing out specific details about the auction house and also the implementation itself. If you'd like to help PRO Staff with said details, please take a look and give us suggestions at the Website Rework thread. Changing the Dig or Headbutt Confirmation Displays or Adding Coin Shop Tools We're part-way through implementing a shovel tool in-game, but making the shovel be able to interact with the dig spots will take quite some time from our Content Team as we have to edit each dig spot script individually, so please be patient with us! Making more Legendaries Obtainable The Content Team has already implemented a way of expanding the pool of Legendaries that are catchable for players, but the details and fine-tuning of the implementation are still needed before its release into the public. Mass Deleting Pokemon With the addition of our upcoming website, we'll be giving players the ability to mass delete Pokemon rather than agonize in front of a PC for an hour in-game. The implementation along with the website itself is still in process, however. For more information on that, feel free to head over to the Website Rework thread. Mega Evolutions Mega evolutions have been in PRO for a while now, but are currently only only available for NPCs. This is because we are still yet to finalize everything with regards to releasing Mega Evolutions. Nonetheless, they are being considered to be implemented in PRO for players to use. Although, please take note that there is no ETA for when they will be released. User Bank With the addition of our upcoming website, we'll be giving players the ability to have their own bank account not in-game, but on the website. You may put Pokemon, money, and items in this bank, therefore possibly allowing players to store an unlimited amount of game objects, but the details are still undecided overall. If you'd like to help PRO Staff with said details, please take a look and give us suggestions at the Website Rework thread. _______________________________________________________ Contributions: Thor, Pixiu, Hideliet, Windypuff, Neroli, Shaui, Red, Astraea, Fluffles
