Change of plans, if so many people prefer Showdown's timer then how about this ... 180 seconds overall timer with +15 seconds every round. Only for PvP ranked battles. Opinions?6 points

Changelog 11.08.2020: Bumped Unity to newest version. Ball animations show the ball while summoning and catching a Pokemon now. We save the balls you caught Pokemon with from now on. All previously caught Pokemon were set to Pokeball. The ball used to catch a Pokemon is displayed in the Pokemon card now. [*]Reworked swaping move positions in pokecards from arrows to drag and drop. BEFORE, AFTER [*]Reworked the client options menu. Added Show D-Pad and Relative Touch Control options. Keybindings can be removed with Escape now. [*]Reworked code parts in the Windows client patcher to make verifying a lot faster. [*]Fixed a bug where changing your Pokemon resulted in changing enemies Pokemon. [*]Super/Not very effective sound parsing which resulted in playing the wrong sound sometimes works correctly now. [*]Fixed Ferroseeds abilities, it can no longer become Anticipation. [*]Struggle no longer gets the priority from the selected move. [*]Fixed/Improves EXP mathematics. [*]Poison Touch works properly with Protect now. [*]Contrary works correctly with Intimidate now. [*]Outrage and Protect work correctly together now. [*]Outrage can only hit three times now. [*]Life Orb and Water Shuriken work properly with Water Absorb now. [*]Pressure works as intended now. [*]White Herb gets consumed now. [*]Encore and Disable work as intended now. [*]U-Turn works properly now. [*]Volt Switch works properly now. [*]Baton Pass works properly now. Baton Pass passes SPATK now. Baton Pass has priority with Prankster now. [*]Healing Wish works now. [*]Lunar Dance works now. [*]Substitute works now. [*]Protect works correctly after enemy's switch out now. [*]Foul Play ignores enemies ability and holding item now. [*]Choice items do not lock you anymore when the move does not go off due to paralyze, flinch etc. [*]Minimize now raises the user's evasion by two stages, instead of one. [*]Simple Beam works now. [*]Leech Life heals correctly now. For some reason it healed 50% of the attackers life. [*]A few moves still had Gen5-6 Base Powers and Accuracies. They were updated to Gen7. Base Power: Assurance, Chatter, Draco Meteor, Energy Ball, Hydro Pump, Lick, Magma Storm, Overheat, Power Gem, Smog, Surf, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Vine Whip, Meteor Mash and Leaf Storm. Accuracy: Gunk Shot, Poison Gas, Psycho Shift, Will-O-Wisp, Meteor Mash, Roar, Topsy-Turvy and Whirlwind. [*]Trick Room and Wonder Room will now be used if the opponent switches in a Pokemon that dies to Stealth Rock. [*]Battle Bond works now. Water Shuriken gets 20 BP and always hits 3 times with activated Battle Bond. Greninja with Battle Bond is not yet catchable. [*]Stance Change works now. [*]King's Shield works now. [*]Mega Evolutions are implemented now. Megastones cannot be removed in battles (via Knock Off, Trick or Thief f.e.). NPCs can mega evolve their Pokemon correctly now. Pokemon can hold Megastones but Pokemon holding Megastones and Megastones are not tradable. More and more Megastones will be available in-game with new content over time. [*]If a Pokemon dies before the opponent used a move the move will be used and fail now. This is the correct behaviour, triggers choice items lock and reveals a possible new move. [*]Fixed a bug where Destiny Bond killed the wrong Pokemon. [*]Fake Out and Truant work correctly with U-Turn, Volt Switch and Baton Pass now. They used to fail if used after getting switched in via one of these moves. [*]Tailwind works correctly with Prankster now. Prankster should be fully fixed with that. [*]Filter works now. [*]Endure may fail if used in succession now. [*]White Herb gets consumed correctly now. [*]Reworked Encore and Disable, Struggle works correctly with that now. [*]Focus Sash works correctly with Hazards, Stealth Rock, Spikes and Poison now. Shedinja with Focus Sash is no longer banned in Ranked PvP. [*]Added [iCODE]/surrender[/iCODE] command and button in battles. [iCODE]/surrender[/iCODE] works in all battles, counts as a loss and has a five minutes cooldown in Ranked PvP battles. The five minutes cooldown is only for the command and has nothing to do with the battles. [iCODE]/surrender[/iCODE] does not add a ten minutes cooldown to enter the Ranked PvP Queue again. [*]Added [iCODE]/draw[/iCODE] command in Ranked PvP battles. [iCODE]/draw[/iCODE] only works in PvP battles and ends without a winner or loser. Draw requests can only be sent alternately to avoid spam requests. The draw requests expire after 30 seconds. [*]Technician works properly now. It didn't use the base power before. [*]Expert Belt works properly for physical moves now. [*]Fixed three bugs that possibly made your PvP battles go stuck. The first bug happened when both Pokemon died with Weather Effects involved. The second bug happened when you went in Queue with a dead Pokemon. That's the bug where you summoned a Pokemon and it instantly died and made your battle stuck. [*]The third bug was a combination of switching moves and Choice lock items. [*]Fixed an urgent bug in received and sent mails. [*]Removed Xanascript shops entirely from the server code. [*]Added user.gender in Python. [*]Changed quite a bit of the client-server API. We use the UID instead of the index in many cases now. [*]Pokemon instantly get an UID now. [*]Fixed a bug with the max visible users. The code was simply wrong and caused that users stopped moving, disappeared or took too long to appear. Reworked NPC LoS with the same code. [*]Fixed a bug where Xanascript NPCs returned the wrong Hidden Power. [*]Client battle code completely reworked and battle animations slightly changed. This does not include attack animations. [*]Catch rate was adjusted to the handhelds and every shake has a chance to break out now. [*]Added many cosmetics (mounts, headgears) and tiles for future content. [*]Reworked PvP timer. Everyone has a 180 seconds overall timer that gets +15 seconds every round. Infinite time stalling should not be possible anymore. [*]Improved layer handling. The Pokedex and other stuff don't flicker anymore. [*]The catch rate chance has been reworked based on gen7 and works as intend now. It should be easier to catch pokemon like Beldum. [*]Many, many, many code optimizations, clean-ups, small reworks and bug fixes. Known Issues in Mega Edition These are no new bugs but affect this update Multi-hits do not heal absorb abilities (escept Water Absorb). Multi-hits do not have Independent calculations.5 points

Foul play shouldn't be essentially 1 shotting azumarill or landorus-t at all. its a bugged move and is doing way too much damage. these pokemon are just some examples of mons that get 1 shot that shouldn't. 252+ Atk Mandibuzz Foul Play vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 57-67 (16.6 - 19.5%) -- guaranteed 6HKO 232 Atk Mandibuzz Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 68 Def Landorus-Therian: 169-199 (52.9 - 62.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO 252 Atk Mandibuzz Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Weavile: 104-123 (37 - 43.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO I attached examples with and with-out items showing that its calculating in the damage from the opposing Pokemon's items. This is from a mandibuzz with no items on Foul Play inflicts damage. It uses the target's Attack stat to calculate damage, as opposed to the user's Attack stat. The target's stat boosts (Abilities like Huge Power plus anything that changes the stat stage, such as Swords Dance or Growl) are incorporated into the damage calculations. Any remaining boosts (such as STAB, being burned, Abilities like Adaptability or Tinted Lens, and items like Choice Band or BlackGlasses) are calculated with the user of Foul Play's items, Abilities, and status. when it should only be calcing its own items, its calcing its own items + the enemys items meaning black glasses mandibuzz is hitting for over 80% on azumarill these are all tests after 1 foul play. Example of Mandibuzz doing Stab + Black glasses + enemy item + Enemy Ability ect, i did this just to point out the damage was wrong. the imgur link is just a collective of the screen shots + 1 additional https://imgur.com/a/JHPeJIQ3 points

Thanks for all who are helping me. Well in my case, I do have now the Ditto but I only have 34k at my pocket and the Old Biker in the Vermillion City needs 40k in exchange for the Bike Voucher. So I am 6k short right now and I have a friend who told me to defeat first the 4th Gym so that he can give me money to buy that voucher. Anyway, if I already have the Bike Voucher, do I still need to pay at the Bike Shop?2 points

We thought about this with the old trade log but as we reworked it a few months ago it's nothing to talk about anymore. The new trade log shows way too many information users shouldn't have. It shows the current owner for example. So that's sadly a no.2 points

I must disagree with this suggestion because it promotes thinking less and clicking fast. Yet again, we are reminded that PRO and Showdown are inherently different because we do not have access to crucial information such as PPs, HP percentages, turns left before weather runs out, and whatnot. Consequently, we often have to keep track of all that while also thinking about our next moves and trying to check potentially game-changing damage calculations. In my opinion, the best way to improve this suggestion is to let the initial 5-minute timer decay on its own while adding 15 seconds (as opposed to 10) to it every turn, due to the aforementioned differences between PRO and Showdown. The overall timer would be capped at 5 minutes regardless, thus allowing players to take the time to make their moves and occasionally think longer about crucial turns. I would like to address another issue: thinking is not synonymous with time stalling. Last season, several players messaged me to ask me to stop time stalling when I was simply trying to make optimal plays. Am I expected to know every single damage calculation by heart? What sort of metagame are we trying to promote here? Do we want players to click moves within 5 seconds without allowing them the chance to think about the repercussions that those moves will have on the upcoming turns? I believe that we should not punish players who think (and possibly overthink). Sometimes, a single turn can decide the outcome of an entire match. Messages like "Stop time stalling or I'll report you" are also a problem because a lot of players need time to think about crucial turns and having to read that and explain to my opponents that I am merely thinking is truly frustrating. Edit: @Eaty's latest proposal is something I can most definitely agree with.2 points

... why am I doing this guide lol. The idea to make this guide came as a joke/bet from @Frucht to try the game out and teach it to anyone who wants to bet on it. This guide is meant to be both a joke but actually a serious one on how to play the game and try and earn some prizes with the odds against you. Have a laugh and learn at the same time! Note: IT'S VERY ADDICTIVE BUT WILL CONSUME BOTH YOUR MONEY AND YOUR SOUL. Be very wary of how much money you use on this game. I'm a fan of card games, I've played Blackjack 21 for years and many other card games (The Liar, Wolf, and many more in my mother language that I have no idea how to translate). So I kinda wanted to try out how I'd do in the casino. Shall we begin betting our odds? Quack Jack, the Blackjack 21 of Pokemon! To start playing Quack Jack we need to visit the Casino of any of the Pokemon regions. We can visit the casino in Celadon, the one in Goldenrod, the one in Lilycove and the one in Veilstone. To give an example on this guide, I'll start in Veilstone (Mainly, because I'm extremely lazy and I didn't feel like moving to another region). Once inside, we can see there are two floors. We will go to the upper one. Looks nice on the outside. Pro players here gambling with their odds here after having hunted pokemon for 247 hours, trolled by RNG and having gone through a rough divorce. We will walk up slowly, menacingly to Jotaro and his Stand Star Platinum Shiny Psyduck (Quack Jack NPC) and the Casino Coin Seller. They look... shady. I wonder if they're from the Pokemafia from the Detective Pikachu movie. Once we talk to Quack Jack (Psyduck), he'll give us a few options. We can choose Yes! To play straight away. However, if what you want to do is lose all of your money, you should think twice. We'll stop, say no, thanks and turn our backs and leave this place and never come again ask him to explain us the rules, because we've come here to GAMBLE our MONTHLY pokemon salary (unless you're on Dig Spots welfare, basically). I will try and go through all of these. The goal of the game is to try and pick cards until we reach the number 21 or we reach the closest possible to 21. We are given an initial card, and so does Quack Jack get one. After you get your first one and examine it, you have to choose if you want to Hit (pick another card) or Stand (stop drawing cards). We are trying to reach the number 21. However, if we go higher than 21, we lose. If Quack Jack goes over 21, he also loses. So, how do we play? We first need to know the value of all cards. An Ace is worth one or eleven points, up to your choice. The cards with faces (Jack, Queen and King is this a One Piece reference are worth 10 points.). all the other cards are worth 2 to 10, as you will perfectly be able to see. (If it says two, it's worth two, or if it has two items in it, it's worth two. I think it's not hard to learn how to count to 10.) We will first choose how many coins we want to bet. We can buy 50 coins to the casino coin exchanger for 250k pokedollars (as certain famous guy said, it's just a small loan of 250k pokedollars). This is extremely expensive, I'm REALLY going to regret this if I don't win, but we will try our odds. (Frucht why did I agree to trying this out for the love of god how will I feed my pokemon children with no money left from betting) Now, we will bet 1 coin to start and understand how the game plays. I'll give you an example. Quack Jack gives you your starting cards. You get your first card. You can get as a maximum 11 points with a single card (you can get an Ace, which you can use either as one or eleven points, He has a hidden card, could be anything. You can then try to hit and get as close to 21 as possible. I got a 3 in my first hand. I'm very far away from 21. I hit again. I get an 8, now I have 11 points. I decide to hit again and I get a 7, I have 18 points now. Now, I choose to stand ZA WARUDO okay, I should stop with the Jojo references. Now, the dealer shows his cards. Oh, he got 20! I lose this one. However, the next game might go the opposite way and you may win. My personal advice: after 17, stand. It's a safe bet, and most times, Quack Jack would normally lose. 18 or 19 is already a strong enough number and the chances to get 21 are really against you. What happens if you hit exactly 21? Well, you Quack Jack. If you Quack Jack, you instantly win and win a bigger reward. Hitting 21 is the dream. However, it's not optimal, because our goal is to hit atleast 18 to 19, where our mathematical odds will benefit us more. We have to try and win by getting more points than that goddamn blue painted Psyduck, not try to risk it all and end up losing our savings or something else which we will not specify as it would be pretty, pretty terrifying. Before you start playing, I highly recommend you watch this youtube video which also applies to the Quack Jack (without the Psyduck, though). It will probably guide you a lot. Now, I'll start trying it out as an example! (Frucht I swear to god I am going to waste 250k for a forum guide are you kidding me lmao) I start up good, the dealer gets a really bad starting hand (just a 2, while I get a 10). This means he has to take many cards to try and reach 21. I got a 10 and 3, so I get 13, and I feel safe enough to bet and get to 21. I'm going to hit Hit and try my luck! ARE YOU KIDDING ME THIS IS RIGGED, I'M GOING FOR ANOTHER ROUND I AIN'T LETTING THIS BLUE MIDGET GO AWAY WITH MY MONEY. THIS IS BUSTED WHAT IN THE WORLD HE JUST GOT A QUACK JACK IN HIS STARTING HAND HOLY MOLY THIS GUY HAS ARCEUS TIER RNG I start with a 17. This is my time to shine! I try out to Stand and... I get Quack Jacked again. Mother of GOD this guy's luck is insane. Jokes aside, it's perfectly possible to win in this game. You only have to BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF THE CARDS, KAIBA, MY GRANDPA'S DECK HAS NO PATHETIC CARDS, KAIBA! be lucky enough and win a few times through maths and logic and being lucky (I thought the NPC was rigged at first lol). Now, we will try and see what we can buy with our single point we obtained from this (yes, I wasted 250k FOR A SINGLE CASINO POINT. This guide is being expensive.) We will go down and visit the Casino Points Exchanger and check out the options. As you can see, the Pokemon tab has some insanely rare and amazing pokemon to try and obtain them. Your other alternative is to try out and buy some items with these points. I only suggest spending them on Focus Sashes, I do not personally thing the others are worth it enough. I hope you've learned something with this guide. I had a ton of fun wasting 250k pokedollars down the drain because of a discord joke and a stupid bet of a friend to see if I could make an entire guide in less than two hours playing QuackJack and I hope you try it too! And have better luck than me, too. It is a worthwhile addiction and hobby to do if you're so reach that you use 500.000 pokedollar bills as socks or as a pillow to sleep on. There's a daily limit to playing this game because I actually got so good at it that I started winning more than 80% of my games and it would otherwise be incredibly busted. I guess now I have to go back to making serious guides lmaoo1 point

To answer your question more precisely: you can buy the bike as soon as you reach Vermillion. You do not need any specific badge to purchase it. You can only trade with other players after you beat the 4th badge in Celadon. This answers your questions directly. The bike can be purchased for 60k or 40k if you also capture a Ditto and bring it to the Old Man who lives in the house next to the pokecenter in vermillion. You can earn a lot of money by doing the quests in Viridian, Pewter and Cerulean (approximately around 25 to 30k atleast). Then, you can grab the Rare Candies hidden in Viridian City, Viridian Forest, the Stardust in Route 3, the Star Piece in Mt Moon and the Rare Candies from the Clefairy quest in Cerulean. These Rare Candies can be sold each at 7k in trade chat so you would get 28k. The Star Piece and Stardust can be sold in Route 25, which would give you 12k. You'd have 40k with that alone. If you do some missions in the places mentioned above, do dig spots after the third badge, grab pokestops after the fourth badge (and get lucky with rare candies) you can get more than enough money for it. I hope this helped you out :)1 point

Hey ^^, If you want a bike, than catch a Ditto on Route 8. After then, you go to Vermilion and check the house near the pokècenter. Talk with the npc an show him your Ditto. As far as I know you would have to pay 60k more. I hope you can do something with this information Greetings from the future1 point

Actually, the strategy should be set up at the time you are building your team, thinking about the right play shouldn't take too long if you know how your team works and how it interacts with the opponent's team. IMO, 5 mins is more than enough to set up your battle strategy (since every check for your team should be considered at the moment of its build), everything else should not have problems with 15 seconds. Atleast i wouldn't calculate the damage on each battle, neither stats, i know garchomp max spd is 333, since it's a meta pokemon and it should be considered, i don't need to calculate it.1 point

+1 to timer change mabye ability to turn it off in friendly battle, if both players agree? -1 for in this format, I think a better timer would be, every turn is 15 seconds, once you are over that 15seconds then you start to eat into the 5 minute timer. so Start . . . . .Time taken . . . . . . pool left 5:00 Turn 1; . . . 75 Seconds . . . . . pool left 4:00 (60 seconds used, 75-15) Turn 2; . . . 14 Seconds . . . . . pool left 4:00 (turn was under 15 seconds, pool not used) Turn 3; . . . 30 Seconds . . . . . pool left 3:45 (15 seconds used, 30-15) ect1 point

Hello trainers! There are several major projects for content in doing that I feel you should know about. I will note some of them down before someone leaks it the wrong way. - New Region New region is a custom approach. We call it a mini-region. But it's actually very huge. It is called Astrella, and it's done mapping wise. Region will feature a variety of spawns (gen 7 area), new content, quests, events, trade city and much more. It will be ready once script-work is done for it and once gen 7+ is fully operational, will not release it before that. Reason for a custom area is a simple one. We are unable to map anything past Unova graphic wise without having it improvised 99% and waste much time into art. The MMO setting commands a new region, so it's being delivered. With it, we will have whole game spawned with old and new Pokemon, closer to being complete. The region is currently in hands of scripters. Once they are done, I will spawn it, so you can catch some of the new Pokemon when we receive a full gen 7 update. - Unova Unova is planned and is slowly being mapped. Once it is done and ready, the whole game will be respawned from scratch due to distribution of the Pokemon around PRO world. We are also looking for mapping manpower to complete the task so that mapping side is done and ready for people to script on. - Orange Islands The Orange Islands are also being mapped and planned. Not much to say about this one. ** Note that plans may change any time. But what I said above is a current plan and it's being worked on. I want to have all mapping done before the schedule so that people can start working on the maps script wise etc. Thank you1 point

TRADE RULES NOTE: When trading as part of an auction, be aware that in addition to the rules listed below, all Auction Rules apply. GENERAL TRADE RULES 1. When advertising, be clear and accurate about what you are buying or selling. - When stating a Pokemon is IV+ (25+, 26+, etc), all stats must be equal to, or above the advertised numbers. › Exception: Decreased ATK, SPATK or SPD stats. › e.g. A Timid Pokemon may be advertised as 25+, if all stats except Attack are equal to, or above 25. 2. Announcing a lend, sale, offer or bid with no intention or means to follow through is prohibited. 3. Once a deal is agreed upon, you cannot back out of it. A deal is done in one of these two scenarios: - In-game: Both parties have agreed to a price and location. - Forum & Auction: An Insta or Fixed Price has been met, or auction won. 4. Scamming, Misleading or Deceiving players is prohibited. 5. Reserves (buy now, pay later agreements) are prohibited. Players must have the means to make full payment from the time of committing to a trade agreement (making an offer, bid, or agreeing to a deal) until completion of the trade or outbid. 6. Offers received outside of an auction cannot be: - Claimed or used as current or best offer. - Used as a starting bid without the buyer's permission. 7. Trades outside of official PRO platforms (Forum, In-game, Discord) are not supported, or enforced by PRO Staff. - Reports or evidence regarding trade agreements made on Discord may not be accepted. 8. All goods gained or traded as a result of an Account Hack or Scam will be forcefully corrected, any trade agreements made in such circumstances will be considered void. - In the event that a trade agreement has been made, or a trade has taken place with any third party involving goods gained via an Account Hack, this will be forcefully reversed where possible, regardless of known or direct involvement. 9. When making a service agreement (Level-Up, EV-Training, Lending, PokeDex Data, Story / Quest, etc), players must take full responsibility to ensure that the service is completed as agreed. Any actions not approved by the agreement are prohibited. - This includes: unapproved trades to or from own accounts or third parties, irreversible damage (evolving), payment is made, etc. › Evidence of these agreements must be made and kept, and made available upon Staff request. This is the responsibility of both parties. › Services that involve account sharing (Story, Quest, etc) are permitted, but not recommended. See Rule No.3 of the Game Rules for further details.
