Ever since the announcement of the Guild Island, I have wanted to give feedback about it, but have been unable to due to time constraints and lack of motivation. Firstly, I am upset with how long we have been promised a Guild Island, only for it to not even be available to my guild (or most other guilds!) Secondly, I have privately made my opinions known to several staff members, but in light of recent events, it seems appropriate to make my feelings public. I am aware that regardless of the opinions of myself or the playerbase at large, the staff might refuse to make substantive changes to the Guild Island. As the leader of a guild, I was very excited when I first heard of the concept of a Guild Island around two years ago. I was excited for new features for guilds aside from the Guild chat, the logo, and EXP boosts. I was excited because there is not much for Guilds to do. All that excitement shattered when I heard that the Guild Island was to be for the top 3 PvP Guilds only. We were told that it would make the Guild PvP ladder more competitive - but it has instead had the opposite effect. PvP players have largely coalesced in three guilds on each server - making it virtually impossible for any other guild to have a chance. With regard to the work put in to 'earn' access to Guild Island - was there ever really a question as to whether or not you would make it? You would play PvP regardless for the singleplayer rewards. I agree that PvP guilds should get something, but I cannot fathom why it has to be Guild Island, which is largely PvE content. From the last thread which was posted in March, it seems that quite a few people agree with my point of view. There should be a way for small or PvE guilds to unlock this feature. It is demotivating for Guilds that are not established in PvP to try to get into the scene as the top 3 are already full of experienced players. There are a plethora of good suggestions as to how to do this - there could be a special area within the Island for the top 3 guilds, for example - or, perhaps, guilds outside the top 3 could be expected to buy in on a monthly basis. Furthermore, I feel that PvE in general has been neglected as of late. There have been a lot of changes tailored to the PvP playerbase, including new legendaries and a NPC which allows you to keep sets for legendaries. When will there be new permanent PvE content that isn't just another boss? Why is the only recent major PvE update restricted to PvP players? Why do staff not consult players for PvE topics, while there is a thread every other week for PvP? Lastly, it has become ever more difficult for smaller Guilds to recruit players. When I try to recruit, the first question I am asked is always some variation of "Are you a top 3 Guild?" or "Does your Guild have Guild Island?" It's horrible and demotivating. PvE Guilds and players deserve better.21 points

Hello gamers, I hope you are fine. Let's get straight to the point : In my opinion being able to do the REPORTER QUEST on 8 accounts ( 4 characters on each serveur ) every week makes accessibility to the reroll ticket much too easy. Remind that you have 1/3 chance of having a reroll ticket per week, and this possibility can be multiplied by 8. And that's where the problem is, This created and continues to amplify an imbalance between the players with 1/2 accounts and those with 8 characters who on top of that have a strong impact on the economy and equity in the game. MY SUGGESTIONS: 1- The reroll obtained on the reporter should be a non-exchangeable reroll. 2- Find a solution to authorize only 1 account by ip to make REPORTER QUEST. 3- Increase the prerequisites (number of hours, dex entry ...). 4- Lower the price of the reroll ticket obtainable with the PVE / PVP coins. WHY IM DOING THIS TOPIC: i noticed lots of players had AFK accounts in Solaceon town pokecenter, which in 5min per day earns millions a week ( with reroll tickets and other rewards ). Meanwhile some players spend a lot of time at PVP ranked to hope for the chance to finish in the top 25 in order to earn 4/5 rerolls tickets per month. thanks for taking the time to read this topic, I hope you find my solutions suitable, feel free to express your opinion in comment or with the vote available above. I hope to see constructive opinions from you and that you will respect those of others.9 points

I totally agree with Iriz. No reason to have the guild island only be accessible to the top 3 guilds and neglecting most PvE guilds/players.6 points

She finally did it!, Though I completely agree with your suggestion. (not because i'm in your guild)5 points

I'll just give my two cents about this: https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/90054-url This is the original idea and what we got in the end feels very lackluster, monotone and quite frankly not something I would enjoy as a guild leader. The guildladder got more "active" from the looks of it however its is centralized towards 3-4 guilds who are even able to achieve #1-#3, other guilds split up or merged together to be able to reach those places. As Iriz said as well, the guild island is basically just PvE content. It's my personal opinion as a player and as someone who was lead/officer in one of the more successful guilds early on in the game. However I wouldn't go as far as saying staff don't care for PvE player because that is simply just not true.4 points
-
Happy to see you finally pushed yourself to express your disagreement - The thread covered my biggest issues with the island; it's pretty unfair to small and PvE focused guilds. I don't see why this feature can't let PvE and PvP co-exist in an MMO where there's a big player base for both types of content. As voiced in the other thread, there are more realistic options that would profit us both. Bosses are always welcomed and a nice addition to the game. It's a problem when it's the only major and permanent update for PvE content. It can get stale and it feels like we're getting tossed aside recently4 points

Are you trying to confuse people ? There are indeed 4 accounts possible but each account has 1 character on the silver and 1 on the gold so in the end we get to 8 characters which can make the REPORTER QUEST right?3 points
-
To avoid confusion with your math in this discussion/topic, players can only have 4 accounts, not 8. Its not 4 per server, its 4 in total.3 points

I totally agree with Togepoke, I feel more identified with the group of players spending tons of time on PVP xd3 points

Wait, who would take the time to complete the story twice on 4 accounts? That's insane! Oh wait that's me In all seriousnesses, this probably is an issue, and I +1 the suggestion, I just feel it insane that some people would beat story 8 times just to get these nonstop. Edited post, thanks to Hawluchaa, I didn't realise xd3 points

Dear Pro Staff Members, PvP nowadays is rewarding in no way for the players except for the ones who actually aim/hit ladder. This makes pvp more competitive but at the same time more punishing for the new trainers hoping to prevail on pvp. My idea of bringing more people on PvP , except for guild leader constant spamming to their members to hit Top 3 in guild ladder as it happens in most cases, is to add PvP quests. Not something extravagant but something small like PvP 5-10 times daily quest or win 3-5 PvP daily quest again. You could add as reward either some more PvP coins or even item that the chance of it being most expensive item rises the more you stack the quest in row. It's just a small act per player with some reward that will bring life back to pvp area. I know you are busy with other stuff but bringing a change to PvP is something missing for long time now. I hope you will like and try to adapt my idea in the way you think its more fair. PEACE!3 points

I am not opposed of the idea to implement borders in-game and/or in the trainer card. So it might be something considered in the future.3 points

Absolute +1. Seems like PvE Guilds are just non existant in comparison to bigger PvP Guilds. Players keep flocking together to the same top 3 in each server and the other guilds are almost completely ignored. The fact that Guild Island is simply not allowed to more guilds is disappointing in my opinion. It's such a great goal to try and acheive as a team and guild, but it feels forced to have it behind a PvP barrier, a place where not many players might not want to dwelve in, and they feel forced to have and try or leave to go to another Top 3 Guild. PvE Guilds deserve better or, atleast, the access to a Guild Island. We feel extremely neglected. This comes from the owner of Chaos Raiders, a Guild that was almost for one entire year Top 2 in Gold Server. PvE Guilds just get ignored and feel borderline useless unless you form an enormous group of people with a social community where everyone interacts and, still, some people only join with their second accounts while their main ones are in the Top PvP Guilds. We deserve better.3 points

What is Skere? Skere was formed in november, 2019 by @Ayuwoki, it was created mainly to train players from the beginning and to improve with us, immediately we got the top 8 in Guild ladder and since then we grew more, being top 7 consecutive times and the last two top 1. Guild benefits? * Guild tournaments every month. * Advice and help when hunting for different pokémon (natures/builds/abilities/uses). * Help with your pvp team, building this, or pve team. * Friendly and active chat in 3 or more language. * Frequent giveaways for guild members. * 25% exp boost for being in the Guild ladder. * Guild island (You need to finish the season in Guild and with at least 10 rating. Help us to get the top 3 too). * Discount if you want buy a Pokemon from your Guild mate. What are we looking for? We are looking for active PvP players who want continue growing, good people without toxicity, we don't like it because we are like a family. -1 Those players are not breaking any kind of rules... they are using their own time to do what they want within the game rules. Mmo games are grindy and some players welcome that and do what they can to get the most. I don't think anything needs to be solved here because theres no real problem. Every player can do this if they wanted to. I have only two accounts btw, main and other one story is not even finished.2 points

I totally agree too. I haven't noticed till now but yeah, everything is about PvP in this game. As for PvE players, should they stop playing ? Because at some point there's not much to do. And it really feels demotivating. I'm not a PvP player and i'm thinking about stopping playing because once you caught legendaries, what can you do ? Daily quests ? Go and catch a poke, not really funny when it's what you have to do every day. Should i stop playing because i'm not PvP player ? Should we be (PvE players) discriminated and don't able to access some places because we don't PvP ? Small guilds can't do anything since almost nobody joins small guilds. What's the point of joining a guild if we don't get any bonus ? It would have the same effect to play together outside of the guild... At least make something so that even small guilds can join the island, like a fee scaling of the number of people in the guild or a different quest to do together each season to access this island. Having an access to the Guild Island by working all together would make more sense. I repeat myself but it has to be quite difficult though and the difficulty scaled on the number of people in the guild. To avoid cheating like joining the guild after the beggining of the season to have easy requirements (like a guild of 50 players having to do a 10 players Guild quest), i also suggest to make it so Initiates can't be promoted for the 2 first weeks. This would have for consequence to make them unable to participate to that guild guest to unlock guild island. Here's my comment concerning what the author said and what i think about it. Hope things will change. (Even if i honestly doubt it)2 points

Piggybacking off this post: I believe a way to handle guild island would be to allow guilds to obtain their own, customizable islands at a cost. However, to avoid adding more work for staff, the customization part could be entirely a guild's responsibility, coming at a sizable pokedollar/cc price (which also serves to address inflation and increase guild loyalty, as well as help the game's finances). One way that involves little staff work would be to make guilds design and submit their own islands, under specified constraints (dimensions, amount of objects, etc). This will add an interesting activity for all guilds in the form of map editing, where guilds can participate in their own map design contest and generally have fun playing around with map editor to have their own unique islands. Having something that is unique to your guild certainly helps people identify with their guild more, and make it a more active scene than it is now. This also could introduce more players to map editor and nurture future PRO map editor staff candidates, or people to help out with new event/region designs. These custom maps, and any changes associated with them, can be uploaded with major patches every month or two, meaning its low maintenance. All that needs to be done would be to upload/change map files that the guild submits under specified constraints. Additionally, the map size, amount of zones/areas, number of buildings, and usage of specific decoration/furnitures/ornaments can be scaled to both the amount of guild donation (either CC/Pokedollars or both) AND rank. That way, PvP guilds still get the prestige, while PvE or casual guilds can also enjoy it in their own terms. Meanwhile the CC/Pokedoller cost will also help reduce inflation overall. If guild islands are individual as such, they can also have common areas where people from other guilds/non guild people can enter to have a look around, which will allow guilds to have another way of showing off their prestige and incentivize improvements to their respective guild islands. Just a rough idea, but i think having a special map accessible from major ports, (maybe call it guild terminal), with stalls representing each guilds with islands that directly takes you to their guild island, would be a great way to initiate this. And the respective guild islands will have the main common area where everyone has access to, and side zones that are private to the guild (where the other guild businesses, move tutors, etc are taken care of).2 points

+1 as a member of a top 3 guild I see first hand that the guild island is barely even used so there might as well be some kind of way for people who actually want to use it get in. I also agree with the point of just giving top 3 a special area because there is already alot of areas only being used by less than 10% of all the top 3 guilds anyways2 points

To prevent those who will answer by "you can do the same". ( i know some players only have this answer in the mouth ) The purpose of this topics is also to know if the majority of players and mods find that normal that players who uses 8 characters or even 4+ are able to farm rerolls tickets in 5 minutes per day. I totally agree with the post I find it abused, And I would like those who have a negative opinion on this subject to explain to us with arguments why we should not accept the suggestion.1 point

Thanks for your reply Gio, i especially like the idea of a secret hideout, sounds like a cool thing to add for guilds ^^ and indeed if they add placeable chairs and things like that so we can decorate the place to our own liking, that'd be a huge money sink. And a active way to bring guilds to work together.1 point
-
Personally, I would like the change to be reverted. But, if something is to change, I think a money sink would be the best solution. Some money sink ideas could be: 1. A better casino. Like the old casino, but with better rewards. The current casino doesn't seem worth it, but I haven't tried it so I can't really opine. 2. A secret/player base. This could be a spot to chill with friends. There could be decorations buyable with pokedollars to make each base unique. 3. Exchange pokedollars for PvE coins. This one could possibly have some bad repercussions but they could be worked around or just briefly tested and then removed if it doesn't work. 4. More cosmetics buyable with pokedollars. There are already lots of cosmetic shops in game, but better and/or more cosmetics would be nice. 5. An island with only rare spawns. This could be a sailor that you pay X amount of money to access the island. 6. An area with higher level pokemon than anywhere else. Similar to the previous one, you would pay X amount of money to access this area. Aside from the money sink, there are other options. Limiting content should never be one of them.1 point

It does mean unobtainable Pokemon, not unobtainable sprite. Of course, we could disallow them to use shinies that aren't obtainable but would you be happy with this? You wouldn't be able to differentiate between staff rewards and legit caught Pokemon which might make the match even harder for you. Most of the time good IVs only matter in speed ties. They do not make a Pokemon invicible and as I said before, most of our staffs cannot reach ladder, even if they try hard.1 point

I'll just give me quick thoughts on this subject (I wasn't part of the discussion in staff as I wasn't in staff when this happened). First and foremost this decision was not reached by "my" PvP Council as the PvP Council never made it out of development given I quit staff for a few months & it was my project. The decision was reached by all sorts of staff members in our staff discord in a channel called "PvP Council" however that name is a little misleading, the skills from our staff range from top tier players to bottom-feeders like me. I am a numbers kind of guy when it comes to bans, meta changes and such things given my knowledge about PvP is restricted to when I laddered early on, on the Yellow Server. I would like to think that the skill cap back then was much higher, given my rating placements back then (520/521) would in todays time be #1. In that time things like Talonflame dominated the ladder, it was basically a free win, the meta played so different than what it is now. Taking skill out of the equation entirely going forward. Cames provides us with the most used Pokemon data for every season: https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/142666-url Some numbers: The most used Baton-Passer for Speed (Scolipede) has not reach the threshold of 5-7% on any Server in the last 6 months. It never appeared in Top25. Manaphy appeared 3 times in the Top25 usage statistic in the last 6 months. 18. Manaphy 2971 9% 52% - #Silver November 2019 24. Manaphy 2220 6% 56% - #Silver December 2019 25. Manaphy 3038 6% 53% - #Silver March 2020 [*]Togekiss appeared appeared 12 times in the Top25 usage statistic in the last 6 months. This is no surprise, I reached ladder with Togekiss in 2016. Lovely Pokemon everyone loves it. 9. Togekiss 3966 16% 52% - #Gold November 2019 11. Togekiss 4613 14% 48% - #Silver November 2019 10. Togekiss 3756 15% 51% - #Gold December 2019 10. Togekiss 4158 12% 49% - #Silver December 2019 9. Togekiss 4381 17% 53% - #Gold January 2020 12. Togekiss 4504 12% 48% - #Silver January 2020 9. Togekiss 3575 16% 54% - #Gold February 2020 9. Togekiss 4832 14% 49% - #Silver February 2020 9. Togekiss 5230 18% 52% - #Gold March 2020 10. Togekiss 6175 13% 49% - #Silver March 2020 11. Togekiss 4854 14% 50% - #Gold April 2020 14. Togekiss 6168 12% 49% - #Silver April 2020 [*]PVP Season Results, April 2020 [*]Silver Server Out of the Top25, 3 people played with a Speedboost Scolipede. The first one played it once and won. Manaphy was in the team. Had Baton Pass. The second one played with it twice and won twice. Had Togekiss both times. Had Baton Pass. The third one played with it seven times and won six & lost one. 3/7 were with Baton Pass on Scoli, he won two, lost one. Togekiss was on all 3 Baton Pass teams. [*]Two people popped up a few times that played Scoli with Baton Pass, both have not reached Top50 in rating. [*]Gold Server Out of the Top25, 6 people played with a Speedboost Scolipede. There are 4 people who used it as a main team for most of the season, they had a mix of Togekiss and Manaphys. There is one guy who used it 3 times and won 3 times, he used a Togekiss in the team once. There is one guy who used it once and lost, there was a Togekiss in the team. There is one guy who used it once without Baton Pass, had a Togekiss in the team. So my conclusion just based on numbers is really simple, it shouldn't be banned at all. The people who used it as a main team are also players who are naturally good at PvP, several Top25 finished, Tournament finishes etc. It didn't matter that they had H.A Scoli with Baton Pass. I hear people saying there is a bug with Speedbost when you swap into it from a Pokemon with U-Turn/Volt-Switch that you get the Speed for free, on the same argument you can say that any Pokemon with Intimidate cripples Scoli since it can't pass speed and another stat. PRO is not Showdown/Smogon, we should never treat it that way. I have disregarded most of these complaints when I was still Moderator Lead because exactly this reason. It is banned here and there, who cares. PRO is somewhere stuck between coded stuff from Gen5, Pokemon from Gen6, mechanics from Gen7. We don't have so much important stuff for actual competitive PvP and you all want to ban something that is barely used, sometimes used by god tier players who are already good and can ladder without it? I had the PvP Council in mind because I wanted to give players what they wanted but most people don't even know what they want or PvP, people who backhanded complain in Admins DMs or on PRO Discord are the ones who haven't played the game in months. It saddens me that those people even have a voice, they shouldn't. They don't play but ask for bans when majority of the people don't play it. It is a shame. Anyway, the numbers above from the PvP logs might be a little off because of logging issues from time to time but nothing major. It should still be fairly accurate. Best wishes, Q81 point
