  1. On this thread I want to share some of my feelings considering the current status of world quests. ( TL;DR below) First of all I want to say that I am aware that world quests are supposed to be hard and I totally support that. Me and probably the majoritiy enjoyed world quests when they were new as they were a unique way to get some missing legendary pokemon. Of course I dont know the numbers but I think a decent amount of players got all the legendary pokemon available through world quests by now. This leads to the first problem I feel like there is with world quests. With every world quests more and more players are getting all the legendary pokemon which means less and less people are actually doing the world quests as the rewards outside of the legendary pokemon are simply too underwhelming for the effort you have to put in. Now there is the next "problem" within world quests, the effort. Dont get me wrong here I like the fact that we have to put in effort to actually achieve a new legendary pokemon or even a hidden ability Dragonite. The fact though that hours of effort can just be for nothing because the world quest could not finish is enough for many players to not even try for the mysterious ticket. Now I know that if those people would try most world quests would probably finish but then again can you really blame them for not trying after they wasted their time for potentially multiple times or because they already own all the legendary pokemon? Another thing are the actual spawns of the world quests, hunting 8 hours for Heatmor or any other "irrelevant" pokemon just to find out the world quest will not finish just does not feel good in any way. - Just to add: I am not talking about me here but about most people who actually finished the needed 900 IVs for the world quest. - For the last point I want to mention the needed IVs for the world quest. I feel like 180.000 IVs would actually be fine if the pokemon people had to hunt had value in PvP or in another way or if the rewards for players who already caught all legendary pokemon were better. Because of the mentioned reasons above I think less and less people will actually try for the mysterious ticket so 180.000 IVs is just too much and feels unachievable for a pokemon like Heatmor if everything stays the same. You could say theres always another world quest with another pokemon but we cant ignore the fact that less and less people will try for world quests as more and more players get all the legendary pokemon there are to obtain through world quests. So increasing the required IV feels like the wrong thing to do at the moment. As things are now people who still need legendary pokemon "suffer" from the people who already have all legendary pokemon and do not need to do the world quest anymore because the needed IVs stay the same but less people are doing it. Now lets talk about solutions. - The required IVs could be decreased in a way that it is possible to catch a new legendary pokemon with the same difficulty as players could as world quests were new in the game. - Another way could be a change to the rewards, players who already have all legendary pokemon could get access to an NPC who rerolls the IVs of a legendary pokemon obtainable via world quests. Players who achieved the 0.5% on a failed world quest get a ripped ticket which can be exchanged for a mysterious ticket if you have 2-3 ripped ticket parts. I am sure there are many other ways to improve world quests for the community so feel free to share your opinions on this thread. TL;DR Problems: - More people have all legends -> less people doing WQ because of bad rewards outside of legends. - Less people going for WQ because they wasted time on a failed WQ in the past; got nothing for hours of effort. - Bad spawns like Heatmor are especially hard because people are scared of wasting time on an irrelevant pokemon more than on a PvPable pokemon they could use/sell even if WQ fails. - 180k IVs potentially too high for current status of WQ. Solutions: - Decrease required IVs - Give players who own all legends an NPC to reroll a legend from world quests once. - Players with 0.5% on a failed WQ get a ripped ticket which can be exchanged for a mysterious ticket once you have 2-3 ticket parts.

  3. During all this time, competitive Guilds (PvP) have been forced to use an internal Queue system to prevent their members from bumping into a qualifying battle and from getting their ratings removed and / or damaging the Guild points. This system is the Q and G, which many Guilds currently continue to apply, the truth is that we have become accustomed to this, that practically a large part of users place it and respect this rule as if it were an official game, but, there is always one That another problem, someone unnoticed, someone ignorant who breaks the rule, and even sometimes bored waiting for the "G" of your guildmate to send your "Q", this perhaps, is not very noticeable in a Guild PvE, but in PvP happens very often. So I suggest that a Queue system be added to prevent fighting between Guildmates. That is, that 10 users from the same Guild can search for battle at the same time and they do not bump into each other, on the contrary, each of the 10 obtain external rivals, outside the Guild. While it is true, with the current PRO client system it is impossible to add my suggestion, but, many changes are coming soon and I think, the PvP in the Guilds will grow massively, I mean people playing it and this would be very necessary and would help the community to maintain order within the Guilds.

  10. Hi, Like any Pokemon game, travelling is a heavy part of the gameplay - even more in PRO since they is no outside flying. We therefore spend a lot of time entering and exiting Pokecenters in order to use the transportation system. Kanto and Johto are perfectly fine but is it possible to shorten the path to this system in Hoenn and Sinnoh? We have to walk all the way to the back of the building + talk to the guard so that we can use it, which is kinda long given we do this multiple times a day. I guess bringing the system closer to the entrance would require some mapping, but at the very least can we remove the guard once the quest is completed and have some stairs/door so that we don't have to open any dialog? Cheers!

  11. Ever since the announcement of the Guild Island, I have wanted to give feedback about it, but have been unable to due to time constraints and lack of motivation. Firstly, I am upset with how long we have been promised a Guild Island, only for it to not even be available to my guild (or most other guilds!) Secondly, I have privately made my opinions known to several staff members, but in light of recent events, it seems appropriate to make my feelings public. I am aware that regardless of the opinions of myself or the playerbase at large, the staff might refuse to make substantive changes to the Guild Island. As the leader of a guild, I was very excited when I first heard of the concept of a Guild Island around two years ago. I was excited for new features for guilds aside from the Guild chat, the logo, and EXP boosts. I was excited because there is not much for Guilds to do. All that excitement shattered when I heard that the Guild Island was to be for the top 3 PvP Guilds only. We were told that it would make the Guild PvP ladder more competitive - but it has instead had the opposite effect. PvP players have largely coalesced in three guilds on each server - making it virtually impossible for any other guild to have a chance. With regard to the work put in to 'earn' access to Guild Island - was there ever really a question as to whether or not you would make it? You would play PvP regardless for the singleplayer rewards. I agree that PvP guilds should get something, but I cannot fathom why it has to be Guild Island, which is largely PvE content. From the last thread which was posted in March, it seems that quite a few people agree with my point of view. There should be a way for small or PvE guilds to unlock this feature. It is demotivating for Guilds that are not established in PvP to try to get into the scene as the top 3 are already full of experienced players. There are a plethora of good suggestions as to how to do this - there could be a special area within the Island for the top 3 guilds, for example - or, perhaps, guilds outside the top 3 could be expected to buy in on a monthly basis. Furthermore, I feel that PvE in general has been neglected as of late. There have been a lot of changes tailored to the PvP playerbase, including new legendaries and a NPC which allows you to keep sets for legendaries. When will there be new permanent PvE content that isn't just another boss? Why is the only recent major PvE update restricted to PvP players? Why do staff not consult players for PvE topics, while there is a thread every other week for PvP? Lastly, it has become ever more difficult for smaller Guilds to recruit players. When I try to recruit, the first question I am asked is always some variation of "Are you a top 3 Guild?" or "Does your Guild have Guild Island?" It's horrible and demotivating. PvE Guilds and players deserve better.

  13. Hello. As we know, Membership gives us an EXP bonus of 50%. Whereas, the EXP boost gives a bonus of 25%. Which is half of what's given by MS. The item EXP boost is made particularly to grant EXP boost but it's not really the case in MS; it has other benefits as well. So if EXP boost is particularly made for that, then its boost should be increased to at least 50%. 25% seems a bit less. I haven't really explained much you know my point. Thank you.

  20. IIRC, Prehax (the PRO staff dealing with spawns) already made it so that most wild spawns in the game, do not carry suicide/recoil moves. That's the reason for some Pokemon in certain places having odd level compared to other spawn in the same place - it's because if the level is higher/lower, it will carry a suicide/recoil move. Unfortunately it's not possible for move like Teleport, since wild Abra only learns Teleport, and Ralts spawn being low level is needed for the area it is in. I think there are also a few cases like Ralts, but with other moves. So I agree with others, always prepare a Master Ball just in case. And when in doubt, always consult the Pokedex for the range of moves of the wild Pokemon within the level you encountered, just in case.

  32. World quests are random and have a 0.5% chance of starting every hour, it's unfair every time for someone, world quests are supposed to be hard, which is why they're T8 or T9 pokes, sometimes they get a repel which makes them easier

  34. What a great thread! I am the guild leader of NoMercy. NoMercy has been a guild since April of 2017. I was very vocal in the past about how changes over the past few years devalued guilds and the competitive integrity of guild ladder. (1, 2, 3, 4) As others in this thread have expressed, I was also very excited about initially proposed idea of the Guild Island. What we got is different, so I will only focus on what is actually present instead of speculating the initially proposed. June is the first month I am getting to experience the Guild Island. I don't think it's that bad so far. I see nothing wrong with pushing it live with the bare concepts (spawns, tutors, tms) and adding features as they are coded (boss). I prefer to be optimistic and presume that is the plan. Everyone should keep in mind PRO is run off volunteers, not paid professionals. That said, the requirements to gain access to Guild Island have further exacerbated my concerns about guilds in PRO. It is absolutely true the social ecosystem of guilds have completely changed since the introduction of Guild Island. Immediately, we saw guilds start to merge by distancing themselves from players who did not want to or chose not to pvp. Even worse, the rule allowing players to pvp on two accounts also creates incentives for guilds to invite alt accounts with pvp rating in order to unlock Guild Island. Additionally, we see many players in two guilds to increase their odds of getting into guild island. For all guilds with aspirations to unlock guild island, the favoring of alts or veterans will continue to grow. A majority of the players left guildless during these merges or favor towards alt accounts are new players. I believe this to be very, very dangerous to the grow of PRO. Quick Solutions? Calculate guild rating based on the top 50 players within the guild. This would reduce the incentives of alts and necessity of filling your guild with veterans or pvpers. Allow access to the guild island to be purchasable each month by the guild leader. I can see a few options: A flat fee of 5m for the month, no matter your guilds placement in the ladder. If your guild finished in top 10, you can enter guild island for the month for a fee of 100k. Top 5, 50k. Top 3, free. ( fee per member) Eventually, I would like to see PRO implement a more sophisticated way of dealing with alt accounts. I understand the suggestion that follows potentially requires a lot, but I think it would dramatically improve the moderation of the game throughout many aspects. Every player must create a profile. You must then link your accounts to a profile. An account that is not linked to a profile will not be able to trade, pvp, etc. Only four accounts can be linked to a profile. Profiles will join guilds, so all your accounts will be in the guild of your choice. The account with the highest rating applies to your guild rating (not all four). Your accounts will not share pvp rating, but instead share the same "ELO" of the account with the highest rating. Example: Lets say "teerav" and "vikingman" are under my profile. "teerav" has 300 rating and "vikingman" has 1 rating. Assume I pvp with "vikingman" and the opponent has 400 rating. I win, "vikingman" will gain rating based an 1 rating winning against 400 rating. However, the opponent's rating change will be based on 400 losing to a 300. Its a big difficult to explain, but hopefully you (the reader) understands. This would mitigate "sniping" at the end of the season. And it would still allow players with pvp anxiety or veterans looking to test still use multiple accounts to pvp on, but it would remove a lot of the negative aspects effecting guilds described earlier in this post.

  35. I'll just give my two cents about this: https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/90054-url This is the original idea and what we got in the end feels very lackluster, monotone and quite frankly not something I would enjoy as a guild leader. The guildladder got more "active" from the looks of it however its is centralized towards 3-4 guilds who are even able to achieve #1-#3, other guilds split up or merged together to be able to reach those places. As Iriz said as well, the guild island is basically just PvE content. It's my personal opinion as a player and as someone who was lead/officer in one of the more successful guilds early on in the game. However I wouldn't go as far as saying staff don't care for PvE player because that is simply just not true.

  36. I totally agree too. I haven't noticed till now but yeah, everything is about PvP in this game. As for PvE players, should they stop playing ? Because at some point there's not much to do. And it really feels demotivating. I'm not a PvP player and i'm thinking about stopping playing because once you caught legendaries, what can you do ? Daily quests ? Go and catch a poke, not really funny when it's what you have to do every day. Should i stop playing because i'm not PvP player ? Should we be (PvE players) discriminated and don't able to access some places because we don't PvP ? Small guilds can't do anything since almost nobody joins small guilds. What's the point of joining a guild if we don't get any bonus ? It would have the same effect to play together outside of the guild... At least make something so that even small guilds can join the island, like a fee scaling of the number of people in the guild or a different quest to do together each season to access this island. Having an access to the Guild Island by working all together would make more sense. I repeat myself but it has to be quite difficult though and the difficulty scaled on the number of people in the guild. To avoid cheating like joining the guild after the beggining of the season to have easy requirements (like a guild of 50 players having to do a 10 players Guild quest), i also suggest to make it so Initiates can't be promoted for the 2 first weeks. This would have for consequence to make them unable to participate to that guild guest to unlock guild island. Here's my comment concerning what the author said and what i think about it. Hope things will change. (Even if i honestly doubt it)

  37. +1 as a member of a top 3 guild I see first hand that the guild island is barely even used so there might as well be some kind of way for people who actually want to use it get in. I also agree with the point of just giving top 3 a special area because there is already alot of areas only being used by less than 10% of all the top 3 guilds anyways
    1 point
  38. I totally agree with Iriz. No reason to have the guild island only be accessible to the top 3 guilds and neglecting most PvE guilds/players.
    1 point
  39. Absolute +1. Seems like PvE Guilds are just non existant in comparison to bigger PvP Guilds. Players keep flocking together to the same top 3 in each server and the other guilds are almost completely ignored. The fact that Guild Island is simply not allowed to more guilds is disappointing in my opinion. It's such a great goal to try and acheive as a team and guild, but it feels forced to have it behind a PvP barrier, a place where not many players might not want to dwelve in, and they feel forced to have and try or leave to go to another Top 3 Guild. PvE Guilds deserve better or, atleast, the access to a Guild Island. We feel extremely neglected. This comes from the owner of Chaos Raiders, a Guild that was almost for one entire year Top 2 in Gold Server. PvE Guilds just get ignored and feel borderline useless unless you form an enormous group of people with a social community where everyone interacts and, still, some people only join with their second accounts while their main ones are in the Top PvP Guilds. We deserve better.
