  1. I don't have any problem staff because my relationship between staffs is love.

  2. Compared to few others similar games i play, i have noticed PRO staff more hard working and honest. All those who are talking about mutes and other stuff like late response, it's not mods who broke the game rules, its you. Its game, we all fun, joke, troll with each other but we need to make sure that it don't hurt others. If you really don't want to get into any sort of trouble, stay respectful with each other and obey the game rules. Whenever someone makes mistakes, they should be punished. It's good for community. I don't have any problem with PRO staff team.

  3. This post really only highlights some more issues. It is very common knowledge that you run staff with complete dictatorship, therefore you have the absolute power to improve the player-staff relationship from the top-down. Since you mentioned Prehax, I have to imagine that a big reason as to why this thread is necessary is because of a post he made literally five days ago that essentially started off by telling everyone to f--- off. Not literally, but that is how it came off. If you have been reading other's comments, I am not alone in that opinion. I am not sure if "five days" is far enough back to look past. I am extremely disturbed with how you and other members of staff treat insults and non-constructive criticism. Firstly, English is not everyone's first language. Secondly, when someone is upset, being reasonable or responding constructively is difficult. You must take this into consideration when you read someone's complaint. Take a moment and try to view it through their eyes and formulate their frustration. Your quote and Prehax's language from the post linked above gives me the impression that staff immediately dismisses complaints if they are insulting or rude. I believe you will struggle to grow or improve if you constantly dismiss complaints from players too frustrated (or not well-spoken enough) to formulate constructive criticism. When you say that you spend weeks of 12 hour days on things we do not see, this is concerning. When I was a member of staff, team leads were afraid or unwilling to approve ideas or suggestions because they would also need to be approved by you first. I hear stories of content scripters having passion to code new things, only to be dismissed by you. You need to learn how to distribute work and responsibility. You also need to learn how to trust others. The PvP Council is a great example of you failing to trusting your team. Hopefully you've learned from that experience. And hopefully you learn from this thread as well.

  4. It's incredibly easy to comment on or judge something from the outside that's why I want to give you some insight. As far as the moderation is concerned, I'm hardly involved at all. There have been several situations in which I have clashed with moderators or GMs, but it had absolutely nothing to do with a dictatorship. It was more often about rules that are technically not possible. One of them, for example, was to permanently remove players from the game and forbid to create new accounts, which cannot be done with our tools, and I was absolutely against banning someone who had played on a new account without breaking rules. Of course, the other side also had good reasons to hold on to it, but it was impossible. Even companies such as Blizzard cannot prevent that. To say that situations like this make me a dictator while having no idea is beyond presumptuous. There have been situations in which smaller groups within Discord were formed that only shit-talked staffs and primarily me. However, this was only made public after they left the team. There were accusations such as "You don't give a fuck about moderation staffs cause you unbanned GoldenPikachu", although I would like to mention that this never happened. GoldenPikachu, like many others, only had the permission to create a new account, as we can't really prevent him from doing so. As for the PvP Council, I would like to speak about this once more. I made a lot of mistakes there that I wouldn't make again. However, it was originally not intended as a PvP Council, which I also wrote publicly. It should serve as a discussion platform. That many of those involved were outraged that they could not decide/vote for PvP bans on their own is a mystery to me to this day. I don't want to shirk my responsibility here either, some decisions should have been made earlier. Now Joro is in control of it and I am sure that there are only few who are dissatisfied with it. Well, the argument that players can't give constructive criticism because their English isn't good enough is an incredibly weak argument. There are always ways to express constructive criticism. May it be with the help of friends or staffs who speak the same language. The only reason not being able to express constructive criticism is that you don't have any. And should someone not being able to express constructive criticism because he, she or diverse was too frustrated in that situation, then it's still possible once calmed down. As mentioned earlier, both Prehax and other staffs have made mistakes in the past and have been confronted for them. This is currently being done by Keita. Should new cases arise, the forum can be used to forward them. As for the mentioned scripter situation, all I can say is that there could only be two possible reasons why this could have happened. The most likely is that the implementation required new features that were not implemented for various reasons and the other is that there wasn't a good reward system. Everything else is usually waved through. If there were other reasons, I am open to listen to and comment on them. I would say that scripters and I work very closely together, as they are often very dependent on dev changes. Honestly, why should I keep scripters from adding more content to the game?

  5. I've noticed a couple recurring questions with no answer regarding ban processes. I'm sure Keita will also reply later, and to the other questions also, but as a GM who has left relatively recently, I'd like to shed some light on these ones. Hi @Ishan2020 There are typically 3 "kinds" of ban reason - Attempted, Successful and Investigation. Attempted and Successful ban reasons have enough supporting evidence for Moderation to make a call without any dependency on further investigation from the player. The Investigation ban reason is usually given for 1 of 2 reasons (or both in some cases): 1. To remove an immediate threat from the account/game. A TMOD example of this is if an account is suspected to have been hacked, it will be banned immediately for investigation and to create a line of contact with account owner (if they weren't already aware of the risk) to ensure they reset the password before continuing to play. This also protects the account from any more damage, if there was any, and the risk of irreversible damage. 2. Not all evidence/details can be found without speaking to the player directly. This means the investigation/evidence at the time of banning is not complete. In some cases, you will need to speak to the player directly to confirm aspects of the story. This is especially common in Rank Boosting and Scams, so I'll give examples of those. To give a couple examples in relation to Rank Boosting - if an account is shared and it is unclear if the infraction was made by the account owner or another player whilst using the account, or multiple players play from the same internet connection, etc. This may also happen in Boosting where a player chooses to accept a battle from a player on the same IP (not against the rules but recommended against because it will be investigated), a guildie, or seems to be boosting/boosted by a specific player - given the data Staff use to investigate, it is very hard to concretely determine the intent of these matchups, and often has to be clarified verbally with all involved players. An example of where this would happen in a Scam case, quite often players don't agree all aspects of the trade agreement upfront (this is why there was new trade rules added, and existing trade rules were given extra details). An extremely common example is when the duration of a lend hasn't been specified, from the reported evidence, it's clear that both players understand that it is a lend, but maybe the lendee has now had it for 2 weeks and the lender feels that is excessive and they want it back. The lendee will be banned for investigation, to determine whether they were just keeping the Pokemon for an extended amount of time, were too busy to return it, just plainly forgot etc, or if their intention was to steal and keep the Pokemon for good - this would not be possible without a line of communication to the player. --- Hi @8294ayush For your questions 1 and 2 - firstly, I apologise if you have ever felt that your appeal process has taken longer than necessary, especially if it was as excessive as 25 days. There are a lot of reasons for this, but there are 3 big ones that I will share with you. The first being that the ban issued was an Investigation ban - more detail on this is in my response to Ishan2020 above - but in short, if there is adequate evidence to suggest an immediate risk to an account or the game, the bulk of the investigation will take place after the ban, since in a high risk case the priority is to reduce the amount of damage and to prevent as much irreversible damage as possible. Depending on the case, the amount of time this takes varies - I have personally worked on Account Hack or RMT cases that have taken over a week (where a huge number of accounts were involved), meaning that all of my other work backs up too in the meantime. Which leads me onto the second reason: that there is something higher priority going on, again, this happens in cases where there is an immediate risk or threat to an account or the game. Staff workloads aren't publicly available for the community to see, but to put it clearly, if I am made aware that there is a mass account hack happening, I will drop everything I am working on to remove any immediate risks, then I will pick up my normal workload again after. Quite simply, sometimes there is just something more important and demands the time and attention, and I wish there was enough time or number of hands to prevent it having a huge knock on effect, which leads me onto my third reason: is that sometimes there just isn't enough hours in the day, or enough staff members to do the job. Prior to Jhizen joining the team, and Qeight returning, for a good deal of time the GM team consisted of just me and Senrosia. I'm sure you may roll your eyes when you read this, but this reason is given often because it's true: all staff members volunteer, they're not paid, staff do this outside of real life commitments, and real life will come first. Despite knowingly signing up for this work, the amount can be too much for the size of the Moderation team. I'll use myself as an example here to explain more clearly. Outside of PRO, I work a full-time job. There are some days I would only have had 1-2 hours available to spend on PRO, so I would spend this time doing the higher priority things first, which means that the number of cases I had but also the amount of time since I had last dealt with a particular case both increase, at one point I had 120+ active (by active I mean current and waiting on reply) cases - even if I had given each 10 minutes a day (which often isn't enough), that was a minimum of 20 hours worth of work, and it's not like once you've spent those 10 minutes that it's done for good and off your plate, the player replies, you investigate their reply, etc, it's a cycle until the case is closed, and if I only have 1-2 hours each day from Monday-Friday, that's an impossible workload to manage that is fair to everyone, and that's just appeals alone. Now I understand this is an extreme example, coming from a former GM who at the time was part of a team of two people - but the reality I want to share is that if the staff member has the time, they will give you the time, if they don't, they won't have it to give. The only real fix for these problems is to have more staff members, but this is not as easy as it sounds. You must find people who are skilled, willing and are doing it for the right reasons. The right reasons are important because being staff is stressful, and if you aren't motivated by the right things, you won't last more than a couple months. The number of good applications that fit this criteria is low. You must then train these individuals, and during this period this is often where Staff will find that maybe the Apprentice isn't suitable, or maybe the Apprentice decides that this isn't actually for them. It is a known problem, however I would like to point out that the number of appeals that go more than a couple days without response are low, and it's usually GM/Admin cases that take the longest since those groups also have the most diverse roles with the most work to do, but are also the smallest teams because of the criteria to be promoted into one of these roles. I understand the frustration, but for the times response rates are an issue, there isn't a simple or quick fix. For question 3, again I apologise if you feel that this has happened to you. If you feel that a member of Moderation is being rude or unfair to you in your appeal, you can make a Complaint, where a Team Lead or Admin will review the behaviour of the mod and act accordingly. There is a line between being firm in order to find out the facts in a clear and concise way, and being rude. You absolutely shouldn't have to put up with the latter, even if you have broken the rules. I hope that this helps both of you and others with the same questions, but if it is unclear, or you have further questions you are more than welcome to ask. Edit: @ShadowDanny - I have just seen you have mentioned a couple of the points I have addressed above. I hope that this also helps you too, same goes for you if you have any questions you want to ask.

  6. you forget there are people on both sides of the screen. the people complaining about prehax have said much worse to others. i get you want to stick it to "the man" but that doesn't exist in this situation. staff have zero incentive or requirement to hold themselves to a higher standard when speaking casually. people simultaneously treat staff with ridiculous deference while complaining about staff egos they inflate themselves. id say that players should treat staff like other players but frankly a not insignificant amount of this community treats other people terribly, so i guess ill just say that everyone should be respectful but not deferential to each other, regardless of whether or not that person is staff. would go a long way towards bridging that gap.

  8. Hello everyone, I'm new to PRO. I don't know what I am doing, but I would like some help if possible. I'm in Silver server. I would also like to join a guild, if any are recruiting...please invite me! My discord is also Yowk#4652, feel free to add me, as I like meeting new people. Thank you.

  10. Heyho, I'd like to pick up on a couple of points that will most likely need a more detailed answer and will receive that from Keita later on. I think it's a shame what is made of such an opportunity. Many players have expressed that they feel misunderstood and ignored in the past. Because of that, Keita has created the opportunity to publicly address one's own opinions, ideas and problems. Instead of taking advantage of this opportunity that many have asked for, it is used to insult and corner others. Prehax and many other staffs - I count myself among them - have made mistakes in the past. But to see that players that have been handled with soft gloves complain about staff abuse is quite disappointing. There were players with more than ten infractions handled by several staffs that called him out for staff abuse while they should have been banned way earlier according to our punishment policy, along with a candidate that used third-party software and got a second chance because of his long playtime. Of course you are free to complain about Prehax and other staffs, but then please do it properly. Name points, express constructive criticism and make suggestions for improvements. A fundamentally aggressive attitude will not get us any further. This counts to both staffs and players. Furthermore, I would like to shed some light on the "ignored" suggestions. We read all of the suggestions posted in the forum. It's just insanely time consuming to answer every thread. Once we plan to implement a suggestion we will add it to the dev to-do list. There are weeks when I work on PRO for over 12 hours a day. The players often do not notice a lot of this, as it is often about changes that are not visible to the end user but are necessary. PRO was at a point for a very long time where you could no longer work with the code. This applies to both client and server code. That was because the top priority was to do something that the players can see without considering the further negative effects it would have. You should all keep in mind how much happened over the past two years. Don't just hold onto the negative. There will be more progress that we can all look forward to.

  11. @Qeight i have a question to you. You dont play PRO, i mean u can log into ur acc sometimes, but never to actually play the game itself. You know, more than half of the community dont like you, and also u dont like the community back (or a big part of it), so my question is: Why, why u still around? whats the reason for it? just curious tbh.

  12. Concern First of all, thanks for letting us share our concerns, i'm going into the obvious one, the treatment between certain staffs and players. We all know that how Qeight treat us players with incredibly rudeness, the issue is not just that (as if being treated like [heck]/dumb and other insults towards the community was small thing), but sometimes we see in pro discord ban threats. As far as i imagine, this is totally unacceptable, the lack of respect when someone does a question about something they DON'T UNDERSTAND, it's apparent, i will say that for myself, but every time i see this happening, i feel less and less motivated to speak in pro discord or even play pro. i'm a 2k +hours player and the fear of being punished (banned) because i said something a staff disliked it's bigger than my will to play. Another concern, but also a suggestion would be, don't let staff, being in game or discord that had troubles with certain players, to give their "opinion" about an infraction. That is totally based on emotion therefore, makes the judgment clouded and personal instead of technical. For a GM, the infraction can be a 2 hours mute, to the one with grudge will be worth of a ban, I myself was almost victim of that kind of judgment, and it's totally not fair. Suggestion 1- Allow players to vote about the behavior of certain moderation to ensure the staff will hear us in a faster way, like an instant open public feedback. 2- Do something about not only users but moderators, that pretend that do not see offenses, homophobic comments, body shaming comments, xenophobic (offense towards ethnic groups) comments. 3- Punish the ones that provoke severely and a small warn to those who DEFEND themselves. We're often seeing the attacked ones being punished for defending their honor. 4- Try to stop the "protection culture" where, a staff says the complaint of a player towards another member of staff is wrong, if one player expressed it's concern usually there are many others who agree but don't have the courage to do so. 5- Put a recruitment based on minimum Age (hard to do but it's about free time and maturity). Thanks :RemVV:

  13. It looks like sometimes, a certain staff member feels obliged to insult or to reply in a condescending way to players. Without targetting him/her, I would like to know why you hired him/her again and why he/she isn't fired.

  15. Wow, 10 pages already. I apologize, I simply do not have the time to read everything so if I repeat something others have already said, then at least its known they are not alone in their thoughts or opinions. The time it takes for players to get an appeal started / replied to is too long. Staff need to be held to a higher standard and trained how to communicate with the community. And for f***'s sake, get some consistency in your rules across platforms. I specifically avoided using names or references because these are general issues that have plagued player-staff relations for a very long time. I would be shocked if Admins were not aware of these issues and do not have any sort of references or knowledge about them. That would be truly a disappointment, because as far as I know, Admins are ultimately responsible for fixing them. Its sad to see an entire thread needing to be created in a manner like this, but when you allow staff to treat the community so poorly, you should not be caught off guard by the magnitude of complaints being made.

  16. While that may be what u'd expect in a more common-sense reality, player perspective is different in every single game in existance, staff is viewed as a collective, meaning what one does defines everyone else atleast on a basis. For example ; Oh this staff said this to this person, its extremely rude and should be removed, staff doesnt get removed, oh he didnt get removed then all staff must think the same thing and boom, you have a nice little stigma on your hands for god knows how many months to clean up. And in all honesty, these behaviours from both sides does not help the situation one bit, rather damages it further. Now the problem with the "mightier-than-thou" did indeed happen at one point and unfortunately it stuck, even though the people that acted that way are gone now. Which is in itself idiotic to blame people for something that they are not responsible for but it is what it is, the question everyone should ask themselves is quite simple, what do you want. Do you wish to improve the quality of the game? Do you wish to improve relations between staff and players? While many would say yes, barely a handful of people try to behave in a way that would enable such a thing. As such, the solution is really easy, if you wish to be a part of a solution, stop being the problem. (you = generalization)

  22. just rename this topic to prehax hate thread already y'all ask for more communication from staff, he communicates his opinions and doesn't veil them behind diplomatic language - is this not the transparency people ask for? his dismissiveness of opinions he doesnt agree with is the primary issue between staff and players? please. not everyone is good at putting on a fake smile and lying to your face that they'll "think about it." makes perfect sense why others avoid interacting with this community like the plague. good riddance.

  24. In every community, there are problematic people who tarnish by themselves the reputation of the whole community. The PRO staff member community is not an exception of this rule. In my opinion, 99% of the staff members are making a really good job, taking the good decisions, are reactive and really cool with players. This is very important to say, most of you guy are really making a geat job. BUT the 1% left drag down the staff reputation with their really contestable actions. And when I say 1%, I personnally have one person in mind. To not target toward a specific staffmember, I will not give names but let's use a nickname and call him "Mister P.". Mister P. is hated by a large majority of PRO players. Power abusing, insulting, condescending comments against players etc... always playing with the limits. A lot of people are complaining about him. The bad behavior of Mister P. impacts the reputation of staff members. So my question is simple : Why Mister P. is not fired yet ? Suggestion : If you have many complains about one specific staff member, make a democratic poll and let the PRO players take the decision.

  25. Edit: I made a mistake and didnt put the context in the above pictures. Im sorry for that, because apparently its ok as pro staffer to insult people and use bad language if they post 'stupid' stuff. If you want the full context, please search this stuff in the pro discord and only then make yoursef a opinion on it. No idea why many people dont like staff, abselutely no idea. Sadly the impact of a few loud have also impact of all other staffs, the generalization happens pretty fast. Its smt natural in a humans brain. Imagine you are new to the game and this is the first impression of staff. I only have screens from him because its current, the most obvious and I didnt had to search long. But there are also other staffs which lost their good tone a couple of times. Its obvious that there are many players much worse than that, but as staffer you should always have a bit proffesionalism - no matter if they talk with someone who does the same. I also read many appeals from my friends, because their english is not so well for example. And its crazy how unfriendly and snootily staffs answere there (but also not only there) sometimes. They missunderstand stuff and dont even say sorry afterwards for example. Its not a crime to say that you are wrong in some points - some staff members completely refuse to do that sometimes. Ofc many people dont trust staff about game content announcements, even when many additions are good, they often getting not as much appreciated because they got announced to be published long times ago or with the publishing the server starts crashing much more often. Corsi island is also a example. PRO summer tour 2020. I advise anyone new to not expect much from changes, and that no eta defenitely doesnt has to mean 'soon'. Exclude the totally disgusting server crashes, the game actually makes fun and is cool content wise, but with all those impressions its hard to believe myself. There is a bit more but in the end it sums up in those 2 main points. So, for me its no wonder that players (at least for many that I know including myself) dont really trust many staffers and I cant disagree that some staff members act like ... not staff members to word it kindly, which has impact how you see the whole team.

Your vote doesn't matter and your opinion doesn't either. You can't change someone's online presence by complaining or reacting negatively. I get its 2021 but that's your based take from me.

  27. I noticed some staff are very quick to ban, sometimes with no warning, but take ages to handle appeals. Why? I would like to suggest that, if you are gonna ban someone, why not make sure to be around to handle the appeal in the same day? Or at least before the temporary ban ends, preferable within a week after banning. PRO have lots of mods, it doesn't seem to be an impossible request. Another question: Why can't I request another mod to handle my appeals if I don't trust the one doing so? I noticed poor behaviour from one of the staff and wish not to have this staff handling my appeal. And I requested that, he closed the appeal. Lemme know if you want me to name them. Also, why are staff allowed to call players "idiot" or taunt them? I saw Teerav quoting something said by a staff, and he was taunted and called stupid for that. They also avoided talking about the relevant subject Teerav quoted. Other staff ganked in to defend the staff. Pretty immature behaviour. Was something done about it? Or is it just allowed? Lemme know if you want screenshots. If the majority of the players do not appreciate how a staff is treating us or handling situations, will something be done about it? Or are we going to be ignored? Will this thread be another one of those to let players express themselves but nothing will be done about it? Please, lemme know before keep investing time in this game. Thank you for your time.

  28. The Return? Hey there everybody! My name is Joltyena or LightningVector on Discord. I am an ex-Discord Mod and player of PRO back near the end of 2018, looking around and wondering to myself if I should return back to PRO now? I was considering waiting for Astrella, but with so much content and changes being added in I figured maybe I should just return now instead. I am most certainly looking forward to all the potential new friends, acquaintances, and just meeting people in general and getting in touch again with the community. I hope those, old and new, will assist in teaching me all the new tricks and details I will require to get me started back on my journey. About Me I have always been fascinated with Pokemon as I grew up, my first game ever being Pokemon Silver on the Gameboy Color with Cyndaquil being my starter. Ever since then when I traveled across the region of Johto with that little console in my hand, I could not stop myself from being sucked into Pokemon and continued to watch it on TV and keep up with the games whenever I could. I have played and still play a multitude of other games, such as Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Destiny 1 & 2, Runescape, Monster Hunter Rise, and more such. However, Pokemon is one that I have played throughout its generations (despite Red, Blue, and Yellow). This includes the spin-off games, like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (Sky is best don't @ me), Pokemon Ranger, and Pokemon Park. Pokemon will always hold a special place in my heart, which is why it has brought me here to PRO as I looked for new, fun, and enjoyable experiences. As much as I love games, this of course doesn't describe me me enough properly. I am usually a friendly sort of person, trying to help those in need while also looking to learn myself, always observing as I go. My goal is to be knowledgeable enough to help those around me that in turn have helped me, as well as help the inexperienced so they too can learn and grow. Fairness and honesty has always been my deal, so I try to be as transparent as possible and will bluntly say things from time to time. I'm happy you guys took your time to read my post and I hope to get to see you all sometime soon.

I suggest the addition of houses for the players to buy, a unique map and novo that submits those who defeat a certain boss tenham access, addition of a raid boss that everyone can face, and, when a certain number of players or defeat releases a calendar or something assim for the internal server

As the title of his thread is "Freedom of speech in battle chat", by what I said, I was referring to that it would actually make more sense to let them argue without any consequences, than to let them just vent off. It's either absolute freedom of speech without any punishment coming afterwards or the way it is right now. No middle. I agree with you tho and I definitely think it should remain the way it is

  33. This just demonstrates the lack of preparation that this team has to command a game. Unsurprisingly, the team shows that it has several favorite players, those who always go above and beyond the rules, and the team invents some reason not to punish. (happened several times during monthly tournaments, for example) As if favoritism were not enough, they use personal taste to punish a certain player, things that do not happen in the game are considered for application of the sanction, they do not accept bans with professionalism as they should. Finally, the team rarely observes players' opinions, it takes sacrifice and a lot of clamor for something to be reciprocated. There is a certain team member who is at the height of this unpreparedness, and even superiors bow their heads at his ridiculous decisions. forgive my poor english.

  34. I think you misread my post and got hung up on the "Trump" bit. I'll elaborate: the Trump reference was made in reference to what I consider the problematic attitude of "if someone acts like an [inappropriate term], they are just being honest," a common defence used by Trump voters during his campaign. Unlike other politicians, who spoke politely and did not make offensive remarks, Trump's voters argued he was different because he spoke his mind. Again, acting like an [inappropriate term] was confused with sincerity. In saying "Trump anyone?" I did not say qeight = Trump, that would be reductive and stupid, I was just trying to draw a real world analogy between the defence of qeight's dismissive comments as "just being honest" and the defence of Trump's rhetoric because hey it's nice to draw real world analogies sometimes. I apologise if that was not clear. This might come as a surprise to you, but I'm also far from mad nor is this personal. I really do not have any beef with qeight, I didn't even know of his existence until very recently as I am not incredibly involved with PRO's inner workings nor do I care to be. For all I knew, Prehax was just a funny npc in a Munchlax costume. Either way, you seem very set in your ways so I will stop trying to reason with you. I am just asking you try to think outside of the literal print for a change. Just because someone says something is one thing, does not mean that it matches reality. Yes, you are right, it does state they are hobbyists. So what? Everything else about the game, from the way the staff is run to the announcements they make is modelled after a game company, so why shouldn't their interactions with their playerbase not be either? I hope this clears some things up for you. I'm not "bashing" anyone, if anything, you are the one getting unnecessarily aggressive and personal.

  35. You're literally commenting to me when I'm not even staff, I'm acting this way because you retards are acting entitled to a 3rd party private server. Developed by hobists Go ask for justice to someone else. You dont like my opinion go ask someone else who cares. I'm surprised they even tried to make a thread to appeal to you people. Also I could care less if the server died. I don't play that much anymore anyways its called I have a life and go out side. Ans yes he did slander and say negative stuff about staff if you actually read the full comment I replied too. He compared them to Trump which I stated in my 2nd comment back to him as being just as bad.

  36. Although we talked already in private and asked me to feel free to not answer in here, I will just do it anyway for the sake of transparency. It is obvious that even staff have to follow rules and we in fact have our own staff rules and staff punishment policy. Said staff member has been talked to, from me personally, regarding the way he address some people. However, it is correct to point out that fault is not entirely on him but there are a lot of things that are unseen from the normal player. I will make you some example about what I mean being black or white. Example one. Few months ago there was a really big group of Real Money Traders that in total were actually selling (obviously not from a single account but many) around 900.000.000 Pokedollars (900 millions). Said staff member found it and banned all of them, both the seller and the buyer exactly as it is correct to be since Real Money Trading is a really serious infraction that can potentially destroy the game economy. This group was from a single specific country and a few of the banned went to complain to a PRO Youtuber they were following saying they were unjustly banned and the staff member was racist. This Youtuber started publicly accusing the staff member of racism and banning innocents, which has lead the story to get bigger and bigger until this person and staff (admins) started to receive threats from many users supporting that youtuber and thinking what said was true. Now, unfortunately, we cannot address these things publicly cause it's sort of unprofessional to call out people in front of everyone. However, the staff member called "idiot" or "stupid" (I don't remember which one of them) that person who did their best to put people against the staff who issued the punishment. Was it correct to call them stupid/idiot? Honestly not correct and not even worth the staff member time. However, we are humans and therefore get tilted as well when we experience such things. Does it justify any disrespect? Absolutely not, but that's exactly to say that things are never just black or white and there are many things that cannot be seen by a lot of users but users just assume that the staff his doing everything alone and starting it. Example two. We have a user who was able to reach the total amount of mutes necessary to get permanently banned. This number is exactly 8. In short, this user, a pvp player, was being toxic against opponents every time he had the chance to (mocking them or their skill after beating them, insulting them after this user was losing, etc) Every mute the user was receiving he was making an appeal, where he was promising to not be toxic anymore and follow rules/respect other players. However, after not even a month it was back to the start with the user being toxic again. Time passes and mute by mute the user reaches his 8 mute and then the permanent ban as the limit was reached and crossed. User at that point appeal, as he was permanently banned, and ask for a final chance. The staff member believes him and his words and decides to give him a last chance, however giving him a long mute despite the unban (this is how policy works after you get out from a permanent ban, having reached the limit, for toxicity). The user really happy accept it, a mute of 250 days aimed at making him reform and chill. The 250 days of mute passes, the user played without any problem until then. However, after the mute ends, not even a month later the user was back again being toxic, insulting after losing and mocking players after winning. This lasted for months, he continued doing it for months until we checked chat log and people started reporting him. At that point, the staff members decide to issue the last permanent ban as it was clear that the user could not get reformed. In that way we lost a PRO veteran player, and it sucks but at the same time we cannot give a special treatment to people only cause they are old players. We had initially thought about having him playing with a permanent mute, however the limit was already reached and honestly it would have been unfair toward all the players (new and old) that this user had insulted and mocked until now. Lets be clear, there are players that know they are toxic and therefore ask us (before getting punished) to kindly mute them so they are chill and can play without any concern. In fact, we appreciate that, as player realize they can't control themselves and want to play without causing problems. Anyway, after that person was banned, he started to try to put an entire community (the community of his country) against staff, even going as far as saying that if he will find that staff member he will stab him with a knife and kill him. In that way we got a big community from a country against us for something that staff had no fault with. Example three, and last one. Long story short, during Summer Tournament 2019 the user winning the gold tournament had cheated the whole tournament by making someone else playing for him. Host were me and that staff member. That staff member realized something was wrong and pushed for a investigation which has lead to the user being called racist by that person and spreading the fact he was racist for doing that check. (user was trying to defend himself and play the racist card to block the investigation) Also, that person had a relative within the staff team that also pushed and promoted the "you are racist" card. (this is explained better later). Unfortunately, time passes and we cannot find anything solid about it (we ban only after solid evidences) so we just close the investigation. Few months later, this group of people have a discussion and stop being friends so they start to report each other. It was then that we found evidences about it, as they literally reported the whole tournament situation where, sadly, the staff member (the relative mentioned above) also helped in cheating the tournament and hiding it. Needless to say, the staff member was kicked and the user got their first prize removed. However staff got once again a big amount of people hating staff and that staff member despite nothing wrong was done on our end, but people just blindly believed their friend. I myself banned a user from the game (RMT iirc) and the user pretended to be unbanned while insulting me (not sayin ban was wrong but just threatening me to be unbanned). After I didn't unban, this user started cutting his veins and send me photos and video of it to try to accuse me and actually lead me to problems in-real-life and as well spreading the fact I was transphobic banning a trans player (where obviously gender and similar had nothing to do with the ban). As for why this person is not "fired", the reason is simply that we have a staff punishment policy, exactly like players that is divided in steps. What the staff member did was not enough to warrant a removal, but definitely a good and stern talk as it happened. What we instant remove from staff are things like: Power Abuse (that the staff member you mention actually never did). Some example of power abuse, just for pure transparency: Logging your staff account to kick opponent you are in pvp battle with your player. This was performed by Rise/Astro (as many know) that got permanently excluded from PRO (staff + player ban), and therefore he was immediately permanently banned as soon as we found. Selling unban in change of irl money. Spawning items for people Banning people out of fun or without any reason (this, contrary to what some people say, was actually never performed by the staff member mentioned). Lot of drama that can greatly damage the game Needless to say, we do not support any disrespectful/offensive behaviour and if disrespectful behaviour will continues (however I like to believe there won't as that staff member is mature) further actions will be taken to fix that in a way or another. As for why this staff member was hired, the answer is simply that he's simply one of the best staff member PRO ever had. He provide a lot of work for the game, with a great quality, has a really high activity and has the aim to actually improve the game. As for attitude, I think that there's a need of learning how to control himself cause even if we (humans) might say something that is totally correct, it's really important to consider the way we do that. (as i told him) However, for what regard staff duties themselves, I think he's actually the example to follow and a new moderation staff should be aim to be like. Many recently started accusing him of not caring about the game just from due to the language used (which yes, needs to be controlled by him), however he did a lot for the community itself. It's even just worth to mention that years ago you just needed 4 mutes to be permanently banned forever, however he thought it was too harsh for community and therefore improved it from 4 to 8, giving it this way 4 additional chances to players to reform themselves and follow rules. Or the whole hoenn update where the pokemon are not encountered while surfing, which is a benefit since hoenn (the whole surfing part) is honesly as painful as a kick in the ball due to the many spawns and the super larger big water maps. I hope I was able to be clear enough (I mean, I was with you as we talked in PM and you even told me to feel free to not reply here, however I wanted to do it anyway for the sake of transparency). Also hope people won't jump on the "you are defending!" but also understand both the negative and positive things said.

  39. I don't want to go into your topic about the jetskis since its pure nonsense imo. But it's not my job to answer this. The fact that some player kinda starting a witch hunt for a specific staff member is just annoying and without any sense. Wanting someone to be fired because he called a few ppl "stupid/idiot" while he is doing a damn good job on what he is supposed to do is just... Won't go deeper into that.

  42. Hi there @biermon12 As the situation you have experienced happened before I was Admin (and from a person that is now a Former Staff) I have went over and checked the case where the event you described happened. You were being checked for a Real Money Trading situation and there were really strong evidences pointing toward you. The staff member, in order to help you getting out it (and not losing your account), actually had the WRONG idea to actually ask you for a photo to prove your claim (of being friends/brothers playing together). Despite the staff had good intentions, what the Staff Member did is absolutely wrong and is something we are absolutely against and always taught to not do that (although that should be common sense). Despite I was not an Admin back then and therefore had no management power, I do give you our most sincere apologies regarding the event you have experienced with a promise to do my best in order to make sure that was the first and last time something like that will happen. - Keita

  43. I think most of these I already understand except the discussion of suggestions. I think this is a very lacking area even if someone in staff is in charge of this. 1. I know for a fact that if anyone is in charge of it would have to be a GM or someone high up because I have never seen it. The only exception I could see is content scripters maybe look for content related suggestions but I just feel from expefience this is not the case. 2. There seems to be no reply in suggestion forums to well done posts and it drives a lot of frustration within the community about just being ignored. Recently, Wally answered to the issue of PvP queue problems that I pulled verbatum from forum suggestion thread and it was only finally getting him to talk to us randomly in our Discord did it seem this got looked at. While I am not a fan of just getting a reply that it will not be done/cannot be done and then just leave it at that, like I have had done to me years ago, it is better than silence. 3. The Q and A streams seem to have no correlation to the suggestion thread which I really wish it would. The streams just seem rather random to some extent I guess to answer topical questions but I think there is room to improve this all if we had more dedicated looks at the suggestion thread and actually hearing replies. Staff Related Optional Point: I think there are those in staff who do not really have a way to voice proper criticism or advice in a way that can actually help. We can argue all day whether I got ignored or not and if I just baby raged left staff over this but I really cannot necessarily blame Wally for not being able to know all the criticism and advice I have given necessarily with how busy he is and Discord just buries these topics. There seems to be channels kind of geared slightly for this but they seem either not really used or just not designed to properly engage us.

  44. What is the role of a Moderation Staff member? PRO's Moderation Team is a group of staff who provide support for players and ensure that PRO is kept in order. The Moderation Team make sure that users follow PRO's Rules and support players on the forum and in-game. Moderator [RECRUITMENT IS OPEN] A Moderator's primary focus is in PvP, and Chat violations. They maintain order in-game and make sure that users are following the rules. Moderators handle Reports, Appeals, and the PvP subforums. A good candidate for Moderator is someone who's an experienced member of PRO and has good knowledge in the PvP and Chat rules. Moderator is the most recruited role in PRO, it's important that Moderators would be able to put aside at least one hour per day for their duties. Trade Moderator [RECRUITMENT IS OPEN] TMods are supposed to do three main activities: dealing with reports in the Report Center, making sure the Trade subforums are all in order and that every topic is following the Trade Rules, and moderating chat channels in-game. TMods are the principal forces responsible for watching over Trade Chat in-game, but they also moderate everywhere there could be an infraction. TMods will step in if a player needs help with a general, non-role-specific issue that any staff member could address effectively. A good candidate for a Trade Moderator is someone who's an experienced member of PRO and has good knowledge in the Trade, PvP and Chat rules. Requirements Even if you don't meet the requirements, small exceptions may be made if the rest of your application is promising. (Mandatory) requirements must be met in order to apply. Please fill it in and submit it as a new topic Here. We are aware that the questions might looks hard or "too serious" for a voluntary/not-paid position, however it's important to know who we have in front of us when we read their applications. This because the quality of staff is reflected on the community and the greater the staff is and the better the results will be. The previous questions were telling us almost nothing and this would lead to a lot of time potentially wasted from both sides. Your application and results must remain confidential. We ask all applicants to keep the fact they have applied secret. Sharing your application status will result in the rejection of your application. Please be aware that all staff work is voluntary! This is not a career. When applications are open, there will be an announcement on our Discord Server and this post will be featured on the front page of the forum.
